Mum has been a resident at the Manor House for two years. We can hardly find the words to express our appreciation for all the love, care, hard work and meticulous attention that she receives from the whole team who work here. This has resulted in Mum being completely settled from day one. She is happier now than she has been for many years. A huge well done and thank you. Many thanks.

Dad recently moved into The Manor and I'm so impressed with the welcoming, friendly manner and the kindness and consideration shown in making sure he is settling and his needs are met. It is such a huge decision to move to a care home, but everything has been handled very efficiently. Within less than a week medication was sorted and even a weekly distinct nurse visit put in place. The whole place feels warm and welcoming.

My mum became a resident here in September 2023. The preparation for her arrival was excellent and included not only the tour of the facility but an extended meeting with the care home manager who found out as much as she could about Mum before her arrival. The room that she has is spacious and has everything she needs and I was able to bring items from home to make the space her own. The staff are excellent, so caring and attentive and keep me informed at all times. The food is amazing, Mum's appetite has been restored and she looks forward to all meals which she can eat in her room or the dining room. The activity programme is extensive and although Mum is not one to join in, when I visit I can see other residents enjoying all sorts of stimulation from visiting entertainers, art and crafts, trips out into the local town, get-togethers with other local organisations. The Manor House is more than I could have hoped for and I am delighted that she has become a member of their family.

Mum settled in after a couple of days and I was pleased she joined in so many of the activities available. There seemed to be staff readily available to help and assist in moving mum to the restaurant or lounge, I was a bit surprised all her clothes were washed after 3 days. I hadn't labelled any I expected her to wear all week so not all items were returned at the end of her stay, and she was wearing loaned underwear although she had some things in her case. The room was very large and welcoming which made her stay easier.

Stayed here for a week of respite care after a hip replacement operation. My room and bathroom were great, plenty of space and very clean. Staff could not do enough for me, supplying me with extra pillows, a TV, and cushions to sit on. I could walk in corridors for exercise and use some of the stairs which gave me a good start to my recovery. The staff were all helpful and pleasant, food was very good. Definitely would recommend it!

My sister arrived on the 14th of July. Staff 'on the ball' moved her to a more secure unit, she loves her new bedroom (she can see trees) and slowly settling in. Have voted excellent because The Manor House Knaresborough deserves it.

The staff at The Manor House are friendly, caring, professional and efficient. They take a genuine interest in each resident and have made my mum very welcome and helped her settle into the home. It's five star luxury and has the feeling of being on a lovely holiday. The activities are great and the fact that residents can have a few beauty treatments is wonderful as well.

The whole family was grateful that Mum was so happy in the final few months she spent at The Manor House Knaresborough - in her words, five-star luxury and fabulous food. The wide corridors, lovely rooms and communal spaces inside and out, all clean and well-maintained, created a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors. Friendly and caring staff were aware of her needs, organised health and medical appointments and encouraged her to join in some of the many activities and events on offer. We thought the home was well managed and provided excellent care and dignity right to the end of her life. We would be happy to recommend the care provider to family and friends.

My mother was given a place, followed by a very thorough and friendly assessment. Mum settled very quickly and joined in the Christmas activities. She has made friends and seems happy. She is also falling a lot less often. Her only complaint is there is too much food.

My mum entering a care home was a nervous time for myself and our family. The Manor House in Knaresborough proved to be everything we could have hoped for and more. The staff are caring and hard-working and bring a real level of humanity and dignity to an otherwise difficult scenario. On every visit regardless of whom I spoke to, the team knew how my mum had been, how much she'd eaten and whether she'd slept. This was not read from a folder this was information they knew immediately from all the interactions they had with her. I am very grateful to the whole team. I would highly recommend The Manor House Knaresborough.

The Manor House Knaresborough is particularly well managed and there is a real sense of teamwork among staff in delivering a high standard of care for residents. I a very confident that my relative's needs are being met with both physical and emotional support, and that any concerns that may arise will be properly addressed. There is always a friendly and welcoming ambience and a strong commitment to providing a range of stimulating activities for residents to enjoy. In these challenging times for social care, The Manor House is a beacon of compassionate professionalism.

On January 28th I came in for respite care (my husband is already receiving full-time care) I was made very welcome. The only issue I had was the food, certainly not 5-star, very sameish, boring. Not a well-balanced diet. I must say I have had meals there since and they have improved.

My mother moved into the home in mid-April, and great plans were made to enable her to settle in. The food is excellent, and she has found the staff to be kind and thoughtful. As a daughter, my concerns regarding skincare were met - moisturising face and hands. I have been kept informed of my mother's progress.

Pleased with the standard of the care home, how clean the care home is, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The only downside is the food could be better, it seems to be a bit up and down, but overall, the home is at a high standard.

Mum is relatively new to the care home and had previously lived in her own home, so we were expecting a difficult transition. However, with the expertise and caring approach from the staff, she has settled in much quicker than any of our family thought possible. Not only is she safe and well-nourished, but her mental health has also improved noticeably. The social interaction and excellent daily activities have made a dramatic impact on her mental wellbeing.
