At Thames View, staff are dedicated to providing the highest level of residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 78 elderly residents, including trial stays, short stays, convalescent care and long-term care for individuals or couples.

Thames View is a Grade II* listed building boasting many late 18th Century and early 19th Century interior features. Originally designed as a beautiful mansion, the magnificent property has grand interiors and spacious rooms. The home has been refurbished into a luxury care home with the highest quality finishes; upgraded and added to whilst retaining its former glory. The luxurious home is set in delightful surroundings in the heart of Thames Ditton, with beautiful views over the River Thames.

Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms and the home operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times for them.

Their own dementia training means that staff are well equipped to meet the needs of residents living with dementia. From designing an engaging environment and planning relevant activities to creating meals that offer a much-improved dining experience for residents living with dementia or dysphagia, every aspect of care has been carefully thought through at Thames View.

My mother has now been at Thames View care home for the past year and in that time she has settled in well and is enjoying the home. The setting, in the banks of the river, and the gardens are lovely and give my mother a lot of pleasure. I have always found the staff to be polite and friendly and they
offer a very high standard of care which is wonderful. Whilst she would prefer to still be living independently she understand that this is no longer possible and she is very happy at Thames View.

Thames View and its team looked after my wife in the last two weeks of her life and I believe made her last days bearable.
Everything was excellent particularly all the staff who could not be faulted. I and my family will be eternally grateful. Thank you and god bless you.

My mother moved into Thames View as her prior care home could not manage her recently diagnosed Type 2 diabetes. She arrived at Thames View in a fragile state from hospital, and her health immediately started to improve due to the diligent nursing care, excellently coordinated with the local GP. I was
very well supported by the senior leadership team at Thames View throughout the transition. Thereafter, the work of the nursing and care team ensured my mother's physical state improved, and she also received the appropriate mental stimulation to keep her engaged, although the passing of time meant the years finally caught up with her. Throughout time at Thames View, I was kept in touch with how things were going on a regular basis.
The staff at Thames View are skilled, kind, and warm. The building is beautiful, and the organisation of events and meals work really well for both residents and their visitors. The gardens are well maintained, and the activities on the Thames provide a wonderful view. The opportunity to eat lunch with residents is fabulous, and the organisation of residents' birthday parties is top class. I wholeheartedly recommend Thames View.

I was next of kin for a family friend who resided at the then Home of Compassion from October 2019 until recently. I was responsible for choosing the home so placed great importance throughout his stay on his whole experience of living there.
The staff were always very attentive and caring and treated
his quirks with humour and warmth.
I found the management to be on the ball and aware of all that was going on. They were very good at keeping me informed.
I put his long stay until his death at the age of 99 down to the excellent care he was given.
I am extremely grateful for the care he was given.

Since arrival at this carehome, I have been made very welcome & in the time both at home & in hospital become quite lonely. Thanks to activities & staff etc encouragement & participation in many activities have made as I feel many friends & enjoyed sometimes even forgetting my own illness & disposition.

My mother has just left Thames View after three weeks respite care because of an injury to her back. This is the second time she has been there for respite and again the wonderful caring staff have nursed her back to health enabling her to return to her home. The rooms are lovely and she really enjoyed
the food. She was very well looked after and was back to her normal self very quickly. The two nurses that looked after her were amazing in helping to manage the pain in her back and treating an existing wound in her leg that wasn't getting any better until she went into Thames View and is now virtually healed thanks to their care. Thank you so much.

After 4 weeks in Thames View home, my Father sadly passed away. Whilst we were only able to visit him once a week, we always found him peaceful and pain-free. The staff always had time to talk to us and listen. Two staff members in particular were excellent. Each time we left after our visit, we knew
my Father was in a safe environment and getting the care he needed. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

I had an excellent stay. I was admitted after 2 weeks in hospital after a fall which caused a chip on the pelvis which was very painful.
My stay at the home was excellent in that I had no pain and graduated to a walking frame and am now home and coping. Everyone was pleasant and helpful and the food
was outstanding.

Since arriving at Thames View 15 months ago, my mother's physical and emotional health and general wellbeing has gone from strength to strength. This is testament to how well she is looked after. Following a long hospital stay and no longer able to walk, her independent life has profoundly changed but
the genuine care she receives from all the staff at Thames View is excellent, from personal carers through to hospitality and well-being, all have shown such care for my mother. I really couldn't imagine her being anywhere else. The wonderful staff and the beautiful environment combine to create a very special place.

When visiting my husband I am made welcome. The staff are caring and attentive while looking after my husband. He has made some improvements in his health while being here. Seems happy. The grounds are available and enjoyable.

Thames View is in a beautiful location next to The Thames with relaxing gardens to sit in. The staff are caring and treat their guests with dignity. The food and drink are of a high standard. The Bistro coffee area is inviting to use. I am impressed with the care home. As always I wish it could be cheaper,
but I don't believe there is care homes better than this.

My mum stayed here for a year and only moved to be closer to me. She had issues after a fall and lost weight and was depressed (only when she came) and now is looking like a new woman.
Everyone is so kind, affectionate and helpful. I left with tears in my eyes.

I found the service and staff very kind and considerate. The room was very spacious and light with plenty of drawer space and hanging space. The bed was good for the back. Food was excellent, very unusual, but tasty. I could recommend Thames View to anyone needing respite after illness or a hospital
stay.

1. Arrival and reception very smooth and transfer to room very good.
2. Comfortable spacious room with good storage and a comfortable bed. Quiet and peaceful (except bells ringing a lot when door left open!).
3. Emergency button works efficiently.
4. Staff patient and helpful.
5. Delicious food.
Good that visitors can eat her too!

Thames View Care Home is a beautiful period property set next to the river, the environment created by the amazing care team is both professional and relaxed from all sides. The nursing team are very dedicated and hold very high standards. The carers all have a wonderful attitude towards their residents'
care needs, always smiling, hard-working and thoughtful. The catering and house management team are excellent and well-presented.

I have lived here for 2.5 years arriving during the pandemic. It is exactly the type of care home I wished to be. Living in Thames View means that I was familiar with attending BBQs and garden parties, I just walked in and asked if I could stay (I had stayed for one week after an op on my knee). The
care and activities are first-class and interesting. Our visitors are made welcome (and fed!). Most of them have asked when can they move in! Please continue to keep the excellent standard but don't price yourselves out of the market.

My father passed away in the residence, and I feel that it was the most comfortable and compassionate situation that could have happened. The nursing staff were friends of both him and me and gave me enormous support in helping him through the last days.

I lead by example and involve myself in the day-to-day life of our community as well as making Thames View a happy and enjoyable place in which to live and work.


I take a lot of pleasure from spending time with relatives and residents, understanding the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of our community.


I have worked in the hospitality sector my entire career and have had the opportunity to work and manage a large private hospital as well as amazing hotels. My previous experience means that I can therefore provide a service to our residents, families, guests, and colleagues, which is the highlight of my day.


At Thames View, we are one big family and everything we do is from the heart, delivering care with empathy and always being helpful to our residents and team for no other reason than to make a difference every day.


My biggest achievement is my family and I appreciate how supportive they are of what I do as I work away from home. It’s been lovely to see and explore Thames Ditton as the area is amazing and it is important that our home is part of our local community. I am a keen traveller, love cruising and holidaying, as well as countryside walks and am passionate about life, making every day count while making memories.”
