Highmarket House really is a home from home, brightly decorated and extremely clean. The staff feel more like friends and go over and above to get anything you need. The activities and outings are something my gran looks forward to and she really enjoys her food which is first class. Her room is cosy and has a beautiful view. She has many friends here and has grown her confidence. Couldn't be happier knowing my gran is safe and secure.

I am very pleased with the care my mother has in the care home. I am also glad she does many crafts, art, knitting, cooking to name a few. People are so friendly. Mum gets talked to a lot. She is very happy. She also has her hair done and her nails. I am pleased my mother is well looked after.

My mother, although it was a relatively short stay 7 weeks, she had an enjoyable time with the staff. Her condition was managed very well and all care taken.

It's so lovely to visit my friend and see her happy in a beautiful home. It's lovely to see on social media the activities that my friend enjoys, going to the park, making crafts and enjoying the pub within the home. I haven't eaten here but my friend has thankfully gained weight. The welcome we get from the lovely staff who are so caring and know my friend well in such a short time. This home has a lovely homely feel.

My mother in law has received excellent care at High Market House for the approximately four months since she moved in. The general ambience is clean, pleasantly presented with lovely coffee lounge area when you first arrive. Her room is light and airy with very good facilities and she has access to her own patio.

The staff are exceptional providing an outstanding level of care with a friendly but efficient service. The food is well prepared and of a very good varied standard. Our family is therefore delighted with the manner of her care and reassured she is happy in her new home.

Ever since my parents moved in last January, they have been treated with dignity and respect and yet as if they were one of the family. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and I am kept well informed by the manager.

Highmarket House have been very helpful providing prompt respite care to alleviate a potential crisis situation. The home and facilities are excellent and very clean. The location is very central in Banbury for easy access, however it is set back from a main road.

The staff have all been very supportive to all the family and I would not hesitate to recommend Highmarket House as a friendly and caring care home.

I visited my father-in-law twice last week; he is staying here for respite care. It was clean and bright. The building has obviously been well designed and well thought-through. The restaurant is pretty with flowers on the tables and decorative napkins. His room looks out to an enclosed garden. It has seating and a table right outside his access door.

I had made contact with the manager, previously. She was very helpful and kind, going 'above and beyond', to accommodate him happily, suggesting that our steam train DVDs could be shown in the cinema. Everyone seemed very helpful and extremely attentive to individual needs and preferences eg someone created a cheese and wine tasting. The 'helpers' were encouraging him to get out and about in the care-home and he has been going to the restaurant to have his mid-day meals. The respite care aspect feels like a hotel. It feels modern, upbeat and appears to have plenty of activities on offer.

As a Home Manager, I am constantly striving to make the home a better place. At Highmarket House we’re very passionate about supporting residents to live well, whether that’s delivering tailored activities, award-winning food or providing residents living with dementia namaste care, every department pulls together to support residents’ health and well-being.

Having a leadership role is a privilege, making the residents’ and teams' day is important to me. I worked for Care UK for 5 years, Care UK is an excellent care provider to work for, it’s a growing organisation focused on the delivery of quality care.

Knowing I’m making a positive impact on residents' lives is what motivates me. I’m very proud of the way the team delivers exceptional care to residents and their loved ones. It’s one big family at

Highmarket House and that’s what makes it a very special home. I’ve worked in the care sector since 2008 when I was 18 years old. I’ve worked my way up doing different roles, including Team Leader, Trainer and Unit Manager. I joined Care UK in 2018 because I’d heard good things about the organisation, and I’m very proud to be the Home Manager at Highmarket House.

I have a passion for what I do, and I’ve done it for a long time, and I’m always looking to make a difference to the people we care for. Everyone who works at Highmarket House takes a ‘whole home’ approach to caring for residents. Away from work, I like to spend time with my family. I like listening to music, watching TV and going to a good shop!
