other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

The care that my husband received whilst in Highmarket House was second to none. He was welcomed as a new resident and felt at home immediately. Staff are always on hand whenever necessary and were of a friendly and happy disposition. The dining room provided fine dining food as the catering was excellent
and the choices varied. I never had any cause to criticize the cleanliness of the facilities and the care I received at the end was first class. I highly recommend Highmarket House and have persuaded prospective residents and families to visit on my recommendation.

This is the first care home I have ever visited and I was very impressed. Polite and helpful staff. Calm atmosphere and everything possible provided for the residents. I come away assured that my sister was in the best possible place. Thank you all. Also, the interior designers who worked on all the

After looking at many homes I can wholeheartedly recommend Highmarket House. From the spotless, airy and well-equipped rooms to the first rate communal facilities it really stood out, especially after looking at a few homes back to back. Every member of staff genuinely appears to enjoy their jobs with
the feeling that it is the residents who are the priority which is exactly as it should be. Knowing that someone isn't just being watched but that they are cared for is what this home is about. And a special thanks to the excellent member of staff for whom nothing was too much trouble.

After making the hard decision that my mother needed more care that any family member could give, we were accepted for a place at Highmarket House. Following a few fretful days prior to her becoming a resident, mum's transition to full-time care has been amazing.
She is being looked after and loved
like she were a family member, she is being mentally stimulated and exercised daily and I believe her quality of life has increased tenfold.
The staff here not only look after my mum but my dad too! He visits daily and is always welcomed with a coffee and a smile every time - he also participates in the activities, so he can still be involved in his wife’s day to day life.
It was a very hard decision to make, but knowing my mum is being looked after the way she is, we know that it was the right decision to make and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Highmarket House to anyone looking at placing a family member in their care.

I could not have asked for a better home for my grandmother! She has only been at Highmarket House for a little over a month but she has lived a more fulfilled life in the last month than she has in the last few years. She is happy, settled, well cared for and engaged. She has baked cakes, been for
walks in the park most days, been dancing and also fitted in a visit to her favourite animals at the local bird sanctuary. The staff are really caring and make sure the activities are varied and even tailor them to the interests of the residents. The home itself is beautiful and welcoming, there is always a cup of tea and a piece of cake on offer and it is a pleasure to visit my grandmother and spend time with her. The home and the staff have become an extension of my family in such a short amount of time - the world would be a better place if more care homes were like this one! Who said getting old and living with Alzheimer's had to be boring, not Highmarket House, that's for sure!

Highmarket House really is a home from home, brightly decorated and extremely clean. The staff feel more like friends and go over and above to get anything you need. The activities and outings are something my gran looks forward to and she really enjoys her food which is first class. Her room is cosy
and has a beautiful view. She has many friends here and has grown her confidence. Couldn't be happier knowing my gran is safe and secure.

I am very pleased with the care my mother has in the care home. I am also glad she does many crafts, art, knitting, cooking to name a few. People are so friendly. Mum gets talked to a lot. She is very happy. She also has her hair done and her nails. I am pleased my mother is well looked after.

It's so lovely to visit my friend and see her happy in a beautiful home. It's lovely to see on social media the activities that my friend enjoys, going to the park, making crafts and enjoying the pub within the home. I haven't eaten here but my friend has thankfully gained weight. The welcome we get
from the lovely staff who are so caring and know my friend well in such a short time. This home has a lovely homely feel.

My mother in law has received excellent care at High Market House for the approximately four months since she moved in. The general ambience is clean, pleasantly presented with lovely coffee lounge area when you first arrive. Her room is light and airy with very good facilities and she has access to
her own patio.
The staff are exceptional providing an outstanding level of care with a friendly but efficient service. The food is well prepared and of a very good varied standard. Our family is therefore delighted with the manner of her care and reassured she is happy in her new home.

Very welcoming from all staff. Nice clean bright building. Easy to locate. Care staff always happy to help you nice and polite. Beautiful gardens. Tea at 3 pm with a different cake every day. Cannot fault Highmarket House.

As a Home Manager, I am constantly striving to make the home a better place. At Highmarket House we’re very passionate about supporting residents to live well, whether that’s delivering tailored activities, award-winning food or providing residents living with dementia namaste care, every department pulls together to support residents’ health and well-being.


Having a leadership role is a privilege, making the residents’ and teams' day is important to me. I worked for Care UK for 5 years, Care UK is an excellent care provider to work for, it’s a growing organisation focused on the delivery of quality care.


Knowing I’m making a positive impact on residents' lives is what motivates me. I’m very proud of the way the team delivers exceptional care to residents and their loved ones. It’s one big family at


Highmarket House and that’s what makes it a very special home. I’ve worked in the care sector since 2008 when I was 18 years old. I’ve worked my way up doing different roles, including Team Leader, Trainer and Unit Manager. I joined Care UK in 2018 because I’d heard good things about the organisation, and I’m very proud to be the Home Manager at Highmarket House.


I have a passion for what I do, and I’ve done it for a long time, and I’m always looking to make a difference to the people we care for. Everyone who works at Highmarket House takes a ‘whole home’ approach to caring for residents. Away from work, I like to spend time with my family. I like listening to music, watching TV and going to a good shop!
