other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My mother stayed for two weeks respite/holiday to be near family. She had a lovely time and joined in many of the activities. It also, made life easier for us, not having to care 24/7. She lives many miles away from us, so it's a chance for her to see family, friends and join in celebrations.

Overall extremely pleased with the home. Wonderful staff, all very friendly and efficient. The home is outstanding with beautiful furnishings and good large rooms. A small complaint is that Mum's room is not cleaned on a daily basis, especially the bathroom.

While my mother was in respite care and then a full-time resident at Highmarket House, I feel she was treated with dignity and great care. When a problem was spotted on the last day that she was in the care home, the senior staff on duty dealt with the emergency situation promptly and kept me informed
when the paramedics had arrived, and then when my mother was taken to hospital. The next day I had a telephone call from the same member of staff asking how my mother was, and the ongoing situation. I cannot thank all members of the care home enough for the care and respect that you not only showed my mother but myself as well.

From the moment my Father-in-Law was assessed and became a Highmarket House resident the management team and staff have been truly excellent in their overall care, support and medical attention.


They treat not only their residents with the utmost respect but also all their visitors and are totally

The greatest asset of this care home is its location in the centre of Banbury yet on the fringe of a park. It is within 5 minutes walk from several pubs and all the good restaurants of Banbury. The general atmosphere here is friendly, welcoming and happy, this being obvious as you enter the reception
area with its attached coffee lounge. It is a pity that the food is so poor and badly presented. Vegetables mostly fresh but the meats, bacon etc quite awful, tough and sometimes inedible.

The staff are very nice but there are not enough staff. The food could be better! For the money that is paid, it should be better food! They should be taken out once in a while to get fresh air, it's very important! More activities to suit the men as well!

A welcoming care home run in a very professional and caring manner. There are some minor teething problems from this one year home, but overall it is a friendly and efficient home. Attention is required to the organisation and timing of activities as this is a bit ad-hoc at the moment. It would be beneficial
for those residents with a specific need to have a telephone facility available in individual rooms (chargeable as required).

I am delighted that Highmarket could accommodate my mother. I have two other care homes to gauge their performance by and this care home leaves the others in the shade. Third time lucky.
She is getting everything she needs and to see her so content means I worry less. I cannot praise the staff enough,
a truly caring and pleasant team who she is very happy with.

My brother was originally admitted to Highmarket House for a period of respite care. The staff have been most helpful in managing the transition period between home life and living in a care home environment.
My brother now needs full 24/7 care management and the staff have been wonderful in communication
with social services/social worker/finance department in the next step for full-time residential care. We could not have managed without their advice and assistance.

Very impressed with all the staff and the high standard of care. We moved Mum from another care home in the middle of July and she settled in quickly, with all the staff making her feel really welcome. Unfortunately, Mum was taken ill, but this was picked up quickly and we were able to get her to the
hospital for tests etc, and she was back the next day. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk through the front door.

Dad has been cared for with dignity, respect and laughter, we are all so grateful for all the staff at Highmarket House. The standard of care is second to none, the activities, the food, the surroundings, the outings, we could not have asked for a better place for Dad to have his last few months.
I
would like to mention that all the staff from the managers to the domestic staff not only cared for Dad but also cared for Mum and I which helped us through a very difficult time at the end. Knowing we could go home at the end of the day that he would be treated so well made the situation a little easier. Thank you all for all you did.

My father became a resident in August and is very happy with all that is on offer to him at High Market House. Following a fall fracturing his hip in March, mobility became difficult and my father was looking for a care home that could provide ground floor accommodation and space within the home to
facilitate ease of movement. He was fortunate to obtain such a room with full-length patio door opening onto his own garden area with table and chairs. Within the room, there is a large en-suite bathroom with wet room shower. The modern, bright decor adds to an uplifting ambience.
The care staff are very proficient, caring and nothing is too much trouble. The home is very proactive in providing stimulation through activities and entertainment for the residents and have made links with local businesses to further help residents.
Whilst my father has only been in Highmarket for a short time, he is very happy, well cared for and Highmarket House can be highly recommended.

As a Home Manager, I am constantly striving to make the home a better place. At Highmarket House we’re very passionate about supporting residents to live well, whether that’s delivering tailored activities, award-winning food or providing residents living with dementia namaste care, every department pulls together to support residents’ health and well-being.


Having a leadership role is a privilege, making the residents’ and teams' day is important to me. I worked for Care UK for 5 years, Care UK is an excellent care provider to work for, it’s a growing organisation focused on the delivery of quality care.


Knowing I’m making a positive impact on residents' lives is what motivates me. I’m very proud of the way the team delivers exceptional care to residents and their loved ones. It’s one big family at


Highmarket House and that’s what makes it a very special home. I’ve worked in the care sector since 2008 when I was 18 years old. I’ve worked my way up doing different roles, including Team Leader, Trainer and Unit Manager. I joined Care UK in 2018 because I’d heard good things about the organisation, and I’m very proud to be the Home Manager at Highmarket House.


I have a passion for what I do, and I’ve done it for a long time, and I’m always looking to make a difference to the people we care for. Everyone who works at Highmarket House takes a ‘whole home’ approach to caring for residents. Away from work, I like to spend time with my family. I like listening to music, watching TV and going to a good shop!
