We are so lucky to have found Highmarket House for Mum! She has now been there for several years. Every member of staff who works there is exceptional in the passion and care that they give to each and every resident. The atmosphere is welcoming and happy and you are always greeted by every member of staff, as is Mum. Admittedly, it took Mum a little while to settle in as she was not ready to let go of her independence, despite it being very apparent she needed care after covid lifted. The patience and kindness that the staff show to Mum is second to none. She has joined in activities from the start. The food is delicious (thanks to the talented chef!) and Mum enjoys varied delicious meals daily and of course the cakes! The staff are always there to chat to and answer questions and Mum loves the variety of activities and staff there. Thank you to every single member of staff for all you do!
Thank you very much for your kind words, it really does mean the world to the whole team. We are so happy that you found Highmarket House too!
We have regular updates and are kept fully informed of how things are going at all times.
The standard of cleanliness is also amazing. Mum’s room is immaculate, along with her clothes and personal hygiene. She even gets regular visits to the hairdresser, as well as having manicures.
We can’t thank the staff enough for their care, compassion and kindness.
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Myself and my family would highly recommend Highmarket House. Their care and respect given to my husband was second to none. The support myself and family received was wonderful at such a difficult time. Thank you to everyone. The facilities and rooms we all clean and homely. Thank you again.
Hi, at Highmarket House we set a high standard for ourselves, so we are very pleased to hear that your experience with us has been a positive one.
My great aunt is a resident, we were worried about her for the last 10 years as she is very independent, but had a fall and we had to get her sorted, I've been really happy with the care she gets at Highmarket House the staff are always happy to chat about my aunt's care and give good advice for her needs. My aunt is very set in her ways and the carers are very patient with her. She is very well looked after, and all the activities that go on at Highmarket House are fantastic, I like to see the pictures on the social media page.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience. We are delighted to hear you are happy with the care and lifestyle your greataunt is receiving.
Mum has been a resident at Highmarket House for 18 months now and we can't believe how quickly she settled in and became part of "the family. " The staff are wonderful, the activities are amazing and there is always a friendly atmosphere no matter how busy they are. Can't fault it and have recommended it to friends who have also been looking for care for their loved ones.
I cannot fault Highmarket, all the staff go above and beyond for their residents. Nothing is any trouble for anyone at Highmarket and all residents' needs are met exceptionally. I have nothing bad to say about Highmarket House I am pleased my mum is in their care. Activities are planned with all different each week. Even to the office, reception and housekeeping staff, everyone is so friendly.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience. Thank you for such a positive, and bright review of our home.
Dad has been a resident since 2020, and I've always found the staff very friendly and helpful when I visit. It seems that a lot of time and thought goes into the kinds of entertainment and activities the residents might enjoy, including trips out of the home, and I think that Dad is as happy as he can be at this time in his life.

Very happy with the level of care my mum is receiving from all the lovely staff at Highmarket House. There are plenty of activities happening every week so she is able to choose the ones most suited to her.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience. Thank you so much for all your kind words regarding your experience.
The staff at Highmarket House (HMH) (from carers through to reception, kitchen, cleaners and laundry) are lovely. All of them appear to genuinely care about their area of work. Mum has received excellent care ever since she moved into HMH back in April 2023. The wonderful chefs go out of their way to produce appetising meals, the launderette will get mum’s clothes washed in a nanosecond so that there is never any dirty clothing hanging around. The carers are caring as well as really cheerful. The team leaders are professional and very approachable. The overall feeling is that HMH is managed effectively. The building is light, airy and welcoming. The crafts room, cinema, along with the cafe are an added bonus. There is something for everyone. I live a few hours away, so it is great being able to bring my dog when visiting mum. I have on many occasions been able to stay and have lunch with her. All of these things are important to mum and her visiting family. Thank you.

Would recommend the home for anyone looking to reside.
To say the care they received was outstanding just isn’t enough; I cannot put into words just how at home they made my grandparents feel aswell as our family.
Nothing was ever too much to ask, and the unit manager went above and beyond continuously for us.
The aftercare we have received now they have both passed has been truly phenomenal.
The whole team at Highmarket House treat you like your family.
I cannot recommend them enough.
My mother has been in the care home since September 2023. I couldn't be more pleased with the care she receives. All of the staff are kind and very helpful in all departments. I can rest easy knowing that my mum is looked after well. Thank you.
Hi, thanks so much for your outstanding review, we're pleased to hear your experience is a positive one.
Having been at a previous care home, where the experience was not good, we were really pleased to find Highmarket House had space. The activities here are varied, frequent and inclusive. The facilities are great and we really appreciate being able to dine with Dad.
Hi, thanks for your 5-star review, it really does mean everything to us! We are delighted to hear the entire team has made the transition pleasant. Thanks again.
We looked at several care homes before making the decision on Highmarket House and know that we made the right decision. As soon as you walk into the home it has a lovely homely atmosphere where all the staff are welcoming and the home is very clean and tidy and nothing is too much trouble. The home offers everything you need and the rooms are spacious with matching furniture and furnishings and some rooms have a small garden patio. The home offers a wide range of activities to suit everyone. The staff are wonderful and very kind, caring and compassionate. The chefs offer a wide variety of food and can offer something of your choice if necessary. The staff looked after our mother very well in her last days and were by her side at all times day and night. If anyone is looking for a care home for a relative or friend then please consider Highmarket House, it is a truly wonderful place with amazing staff.
Hi, thank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience. We are so glad you chose Highmarket House! We are delighted to hear you would recommend our home.
The manager is always around and ensures residents’ families feel welcomed and included, so important when it’s time for a loved one to move to residential care.
Hi, we are delighted to hear you're very happy with the home. Thank you very much for sharing your experience in all areas.
The entertainment options available to the residents are varied and well thought out, there is always something going on!
The dementia suite manager has been very supportive for our family and my dad - going over and above for him and us - he sees her as his best friend which means the world to us.
The food always looks phenomenal, the housekeeping team work very hard but is happy to chat with Dad when he's wandering. All of the care team know the residents so well, they can see what each individual needs even if they can't always communicate it.
Both myself and my family are very grateful for Dad living such a fulfilled life.
My daughter works on patient transport and has said that Care UK are by far the best home they go to!
Hi Sandra, we set a high standard for ourselves, so we are very pleased to hear that your experience with us has been a positive one. Thank you very much for your lovely words, it means so much to us.
The staff showed so much compassion, they were so gentle with her. They looked after the family by bringing refreshments on the trolley.
The nurse giving injections and meds to mum was so caring and gentle. There was also a gentleman who came in to say goodbye and sang “ you are my sunshine” it really was magical, she looked into his eyes and just listened. Thank you so much to every single one of you, even though it was only a few days we could not have got through what we went through without your support. We cannot express just how thankful we all are, We tell everyone what a wonderful place you have.
Thank you for rating Highmarket House 5 stars, it really was an honour to look after Mum in her final days. We are sorry for your loss.
The home is comfortable, with really nice rooms and all of the staff are so helpful and go to a lot of trouble to include residents in all the many activities that are organised daily.
When a loved one is no longer able to manage in their own home, it’s nice to know they are being looked after by such caring people.
At Highmarket House Care Home - Care UK we set a high standard for ourselves, so we are very pleased to hear that your experience with us has been a positive one.
The team are extremely professional and compassionate whilst making sure Mum is comfortable and cared for.
As I live some distance away from the home they ensure in my absence Mum has everything she needs.
I would highly recommend Highmarket House to anyone who wishes for a family member to receive top-class care whilst giving you peace of mind.
Hi Alan, thank you so much for your kind words, it really does mean everything to us. We set a high standard for ourselves, so we are very pleased to hear that your experience with us has been a positive one.
I can highly recommend Highmarket House. My mother is 96 and has been a resident for over four years. She initially went to Highmarket for respite care ‘just for a bit of TLC’ as she could not cope at home on her own. She then needed residential care for a couple of years and now, as she is getting older, needs nursing care. All of these aspects of care have been outstanding. Although she is 96, she is still active and enjoys participating in a number of the many activities on offer in the home, as well as often going out on organised trips. The care she receives is outstanding and she is very happy there. All of the management and staff, from the carers, nursing and activities staff to the admin team, housekeepers, chefs and maintenance staff are excellent. They understand my mother’s daily needs and fully meet them in a friendly and caring manner. She is happy and well cared for which gives us the family peace of mind knowing she is still flourishing in her environment and enjoying life.
Hi, we are glad to hear all aspects of your mother's care at Highmarket House have been outstanding. Thank you for leaving such kind words and rating us 5 stars.

Meet the Team (1)

As a Home Manager, I am constantly striving to make the home a better place. At Highmarket House we’re very passionate about supporting residents to live well, whether that’s delivering tailored activities, award-winning food or providing residents living with dementia namaste care, every department pulls together to support residents’ health and well-being.
Having a leadership role is a privilege, making the residents’ and teams' day is important to me. I worked for Care UK for 5 years, Care UK is an excellent care provider to work for, it’s a growing organisation focused on the delivery of quality care.
Knowing I’m making a positive impact on residents' lives is what motivates me. I’m very proud of the way the team delivers exceptional care to residents and their loved ones. It’s one big family at
Highmarket House and that’s what makes it a very special home. I’ve worked in the care sector since 2008 when I was 18 years old. I’ve worked my way up doing different roles, including Team Leader, Trainer and Unit Manager. I joined Care UK in 2018 because I’d heard good things about the organisation, and I’m very proud to be the Home Manager at Highmarket House.
I have a passion for what I do, and I’ve done it for a long time, and I’m always looking to make a difference to the people we care for. Everyone who works at Highmarket House takes a ‘whole home’ approach to caring for residents. Away from work, I like to spend time with my family. I like listening to music, watching TV and going to a good shop!
