Living abroad, we wanted to know mum with her dementia was getting the care/security, meals and dignity she deserved. From the first day I walked through the doors, I felt an amazing upbeat, caring atmosphere as result of the staff interaction with all the residents. At no time did I think of it has
an old people's home but walking into a beautifully presented 6-star facility with wonderful areas for mum to enjoy her days and share time with us and her fellow residents, watching movies, having a drink at the bar, chairobics, charades, homemade cake and tea or just relaxing in the quiet lounge. Meals have been great with the option to stay and enjoy together if booked ahead. Mum loves getting her hair and nails done on site too and its just charged to her account! Lastly, every time I call to speak to mum, the staff always know where she is and put me through to her. Just fantastic Oulton Manor! Hope they can maintain the oustanding staff here.

Oulton Manor is an excellent care home and they take very good care of my mum.
My mum is a very private person and needs a lot of coaxing to mix with other residents, the staff are very good at helping with this. Also, she has become really close to some members of staff.

My experience of Oulton Manor dates from April 2016, when my wife with dementia entered until her death in October 2016. During that time she and I received the utmost care and compassion. We were always treated with respect and friendship from the manager, admin staff, care assistants, cooks, cleaners
and ground staff. An inspection by anyone can vouch for the high quality of all aspects of the home but only personal experience can vouch for the high quality and professionalism of the staff employed. I do that without reservation and can highly recommend Oulton Manor to anyone seeking care facilities.

Lisa Owens

Job Title: Manager

Hi, my name is Lisa and I have worked for Anchor for 15 years but have worked in the health and social care sector for 25 years.


Before becoming the manager at Oulton Manor in December 2022, I worked at Millfield care home in Manchester. During the 14 years I was there, I progressed from team leader to home manager and lead the home successfully for 4 years.


I am very passionate about elderly care and believe everybody deserves quality living. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time hiking, wild swimming and travelling.


I am really looking forward to steering our home forward to achieve its best potential and delivering excellent care to all those who choose to live at Oulton Manor.

I've worked in the care sector for over 16 years and have been an employee at Oulton Manor for nearly 9 years. I started out as a care assistant working my way to team leader and I am now the hospitality manager. The thing I enjoy the most is spending time with the residents and their relatives. I've even been labelled as "the best bar man in the world" by one of the wonderful people who live here.


Outside of work I enjoy travelling and going to the gym. I am an avid Everton supporter and recently slept out at Goodison Park to raise money and awareness of the homeless.
