I have been so impressed by the staff and care at Wellington Vale. From the outset, meeting the Home Admission Advisor to discuss my uncle’s needs and to see if Wellington Vale was the right place for him, it has been clear that the staff are professional, caring, and trustworthy. These are important
when you are looking for somewhere for your loved one. The staff have gone over and above what I expected and nothing is too much trouble. The facilities are excellent and there is a very nice atmosphere every time I visit.

My parents used the Respite Care service.
The high quality experience started before my parent's admission. After making an initial inquiry we were contacted back promptly and the admission team (admin and medical) was extremely professional and empathetic. The need was very short notice but they pulled
out all the stops to get them in as quickly as possible whilst ensuring the care packages were set up for their needs ahead of arrival.
The family were made to feel welcome and included. There were nice touches, such as setting up a 'private' dining area for them, demonstrating how they treated their residents as individuals.
Wellington Vale had a wonderful feel; everything looked fresh and clean, the corridors were wide giving a spacious feel and the common areas were beautifully appointed. The gardens were beautiful too.
Their greatest asset was the staff, friendly, professional and committed. An unexpected bonus is that the support continued even after they left.

Ever since my nan became a resident at Wellington Vale we’ve been so happy with the way all the staff from the cleaners to the management treat and look after every resident. They’re all so loving and caring and there’s never doubt in my mind my nan is not taken care of and enjoying living there.

My grandmother enjoyed the most wonderful respite stay at Wellington Vale from May-July 2023. Wellington Vale itself is beautiful and always looking it’s best with attractive gardens and stylish interior.
Every single member of staff was friendly, welcoming and attentive to not only my grandmother
but us as visitors as well. The wide array of good quality activities, and resident lounges available to my grandmother both indoors and outdoors really made her respite enjoyable. The singing performers and “keep fit” style activities were firm favourites.
All areas of the home were always absolutely spotless and my grandmother’s room was bright, airy and very comfortable with large windows to watch the world go by.
Meal times looked and sounded like a treat with beautiful dining rooms and quality food and service.
Thank you to all at Wellington Vale, you have a care home to be proud of!

My mum was in Wellington Vale on a respite period from April until July. When she went into Wellington Vale, she was pretty poorly and underweight. The care she received from the staff was remarkable. Absolutely outstanding. She gained 7kg in weight thanks to the professional approach and dedication
of the staff. The care home is spotless and well-maintained. The staff are amazing and always friendly and polite. My mum loved all the activities on a daily basis especially the keep fit. She made some great friends and thoroughly enjoyed her stay. Her health improved 100%. She was sad to leave. I would fully recommend Wellington Vale to anyone looking to place their loved ones in a home. I am so grateful to Wellington Vale.

A few weeks ago I had an accident which prevented me from looking after my wife who has advanced Lewy Body dementia.
I am her sole carer and it was necessary to have respite care until I was capable of caring for her again.
There has been quite a bit of negative reporting of some care homes so I
took some time to select what I thought would be the best for us.
I chose Wellington Vale, Waterlooville, in Hampshire and I needn’t have worried.
The staff were excellent, couldn’t be faulted. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation was spacious and the food was good. There was a full programme of activities for those who wanted to participate and beautiful gardens to wander around.
I am very grateful to all the staff who instilled a level of enjoyment and even on occasions fun, which I really hadn’t expected.
Having returned home now I shall miss them.
I highly recommend Wellington Vale.

When we found Wellington Vale Care Home for my brother and had a look around, we were blown away with how lovely everyone was. The home itself is very impressive, it feels more like a hotel than a care home. We knew straight away this would be the right place for all my brother's needs. Nothing was
ever too much trouble for any of the staff. From top nurses all the way through to the Chef. The attention and care he had there went far beyond what we expected. We knew everyone and for the brief time he was there they became part of our family, even now we keep in touch, feeling comforted just to know they are there. For us, Wellington Vale was a beacon, a light in the darkness. We love you all, thank you from the bottom of our hearts and treasure the memories of the time spent there, precious memories that you all helped make dignified and done with such love and care. My mother has a diagnosis of dementia and moving her to a care home and leaving her home was a big step. We received excellent support to help with this transition into her new living environment. Mum has settled well and receives excellent support to meet all her needs. Staff are friendly and efficient.
We have also been pleased with the access Mum has had to a GP when needed. Communication with us has been good from care staff. With support from the Zing team, Mum has greatly enjoyed accessing some of the activities on offer. Mum likes her room and she enjoys to walk in the well-kept gardens. I have also been impressed with the cheerful welcome you always get from reception staff on arrival at the home.

Wellington Vale is a real home from home for Mum. The staff are caring and attentive, the activities are amazing, diverse and fun, keeping her mind active, and she is so happy.
The food, I must say, looks amazing, and the menu has a great variety of choices.

We have been very happy with the care Mum has received from Wellington Vale. She settled in very quickly and is very well looked after. Could not be happier that our loved one is here. The staff could not be any better, they take the time to speak to the clients by name and nothing is too much trouble. They have wonderful events every day, on-site hairdressing, the food and the general ambience of the place are like being in a 5-star

It was a difficult process trying to find a care home for Mum after realising that she could no longer look after herself at home but after discovering Wellington Vale we could not be happier with the level of care that she is receiving.
Her room is like a home from home and we are fully assured of
her safety and well-being at all times.
The staff are very attentive and caring and the daily activity schedule keeps all the patients as active as possible, even stretching to outdoor visits which she really enjoyed. The food is also excellent and varied.
To sum up, Wellington Vale is an excellent care home that I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone seeking top-level care for a dementia patient.

I found Wellington Vale Care Home when looking for respite care for my father in October 2021. What a lucky find it was. I had to rely on reviews because of Covid restrictions.
Dad was a bit reluctant at first but needed a base close to the hospital for regular visits. He stayed for four weeks but
didn’t want to leave.
Without exception, the staff have been absolutely fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. It has such a friendly and positive atmosphere, lots going on if you want it and plenty of quiet places if you don’t.
It’s spotlessly clean everywhere and smells fresh so it’s more like a hotel than a care home.
Communication with me is excellent for all of Dad's needs and I feel reassured that they will sort out anything he requires.
It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for and it’s worth it.
The captain's table was a great idea. More frequent, please.
I rarely write reviews and had to rely on reviews to find Dad this amazing place. I hope this helps others help loved ones.

Respite care for Mum, I wondered how she would get on. We were made very welcome on moving-in day. All staff across the board were helpful, kind, friendly and cheerful, introducing themselves to Mum by name. The lounges, dining and cinema room are bright and welcoming and films, books and games around.
Mum tells me the food was good, and plentiful, with snacks and fruit available all day. Captain's Dinner (the chef I believe) evening was a hit too.
The room was comfy, with an ensuite, Mum needed a different pillow, changed happily with a smile. The view and tree full of birds were an awesome bonus.
Varied activities daily - visiting pets, days out, hairdresser, nails done, all enjoyed by Mum. Walks in the colourful well-tended gardens, chats in the coffee shop... friends were made. Thank you, Wellington Vale, for making her stay a happy experience.

All the staff from the manager to reception, all care staff and admissions are so kind, caring and helpful. From the first day, my mother was made to feel welcome at Wellington Vale. The rooms are comfortable and to a high standard. The activities are fun and varied for all the residents to enjoy. There
are quiet, lovely lounges to sit and for family members to visit. Also, a lovely seating area overlooking the well-kept gardens during the summer. The food provided is excellent too. It is a really lovely relaxing care home with friendly and caring care staff available at all times.

What I Do:
As the general manager I am responsible for the day-to-day management of the home. I support and lead every department and team member to ensure we deliver quality care and the best home experience we can to our wonderful residents. It is also very important for me to be available for our residents and their families, to remind them my door is always open, and they are welcome!


My Experience:
I have had the privilege of working in care since the age of 17. My very first role was as a care assistant and then I worked hard to gain the qualifications and experience to become a registered nurse specialising in Orthopaedics. I have always had a passion for working with our elderly population and transitioned over to the social care sector.


I have worked within both large and small organisations and have been in a variety of roles including 'Head of Care and Operations Director’. After a career change joining Hampshire Constabulary for a period of 6 years, my heart took me back to working again with the elderly which I love.


About Me:
My out-of-office activities have included obtaining the rank of Captain in the Territorial Army, something I am very proud of. I really enjoy keeping active in various sports including boot camp and I am currently training for a 100-mile walking challenge. I very much look forward to meeting you at Wellington Vale.

Job Title: Home Admissions Advisor

What I Do:


As the Home Admission Advisor, I am the main point of contact for new residents and their families. I guide and support them through the decision process of choosing a care home by providing them with information on the choice of our care options, facilities, and the expertise of our team. The best way for residents and families to ‘feel’ our beautiful home is to tour it, so I love to show them around and give them an opportunity to see for themselves everything we have to offer and to meet our incredible team!


My Experience:


I returned to the UK in 2012 after working in Ibiza & Italy in the Tourism sector for 14 years. On my return, I joined the music and entertainment industry, managing DJs and acts from home before venturing back out into the workplace and joining the Wellington Vale team.


About Me:


I live locally with my husband Tim, my son Luca, stepchildren Harry and Lucy along with my brother-in-law Matt and 15-month-old grandson Caspian. Our beautiful 4-year-old collie called Sox completes our crazy but happy family life!

Job Title: Head Chef

What I Do:
As the head chef at Wellington Vale, I am responsible for providing a healthy, well-balanced variety of meals and snacks to our residents every day. My amazing team and I enjoy creating seasonal and themed menus on special days of the year which our residents love! It is important to me that every resident looks forward to mealtimes and their meals are packed with nutrition and include any special dietary requirements.


My Experience:
I have been lucky to work in some beautiful restaurants, in particular Head Chef at ‘The Canteen’, Chef de Partie at ‘The Briny’ (AA Rosette 1 star) and Sous Chef at ‘The Elsted Inn’ in the heart of the South Downs.


About Me:
I have a great passion for cooking and love to bring a restaurant standard to Wellington Vale. I am really looking forward to implementing my ideas and creativity in the future. I love to sing and dance around the home, and I really enjoy getting to know each resident. I am a family man and have a beautiful daughter Ivy.

Chloe Billing

Job Title: Activities Coordinator

Joined: 2021

What I Do:
My role is to compose activities and events for the residents that are inclusive, enjoyable and exciting. I liaise within the local community, arranging community group visits within the home and to outside events too – this helps to promote a social network for our residents. My role includes creating activity plans based on well-being, mental stimulation, physical well-being and, of course, the most important ingredient: fun!


My Experience:
I started at Wellington Vale in January 2021 as part of the care team. Every day I always took pride in ensuring that I always left residents with a smile on their face. This helped me to make the easy decision of joining the activities team in May 2023. Exactly a year later to the day I started my role as the Activities Lead and I am still making sure there are lots of smiles and laughter too!


About Me:
I live locally in a shared house with my lively housemates. During my time off I like to crochet, and go for nice woodland or beach walks. I have many lovely and kind friends and family that I’m so grateful to have in my life!

Cindy Burns

Job Title: Head Housekeeper

Joined: 2017

What I Do:
I am the head housekeeper here at Wellington Vale. My role is to manage the housekeeping team effectively so that the whole home including resident rooms and communal areas is kept clean and tidy. It is also my responsibility to ensure the laundry service that we provide to our residents is of a high standard.


My Experience:
I started working for Cinnamon Care at Wellington Vale not long after it opened in 2017. My dedication and hard work as a general housekeeper were quickly noticed and I was promoted to head housekeeper within a few months. I have enjoyed watching the team grow and now have a wonderful team of seven working alongside me.


About Me:
I am a very sociable person and love to walk in my spare time. I also enjoy supporting my granddaughter with her doggie day care business.

Peter Adams

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

What I Do:
My role involves maintaining the upkeep of the building to ensure everything is to Cinnamon Care standards for safety and decoration. It is great to be able to provide a luxury home for our residents to enjoy.


My Experience:
I have worked mainly in the hospitality industry for the past 30 years as a maintenance manager and before that worked on building renovations.


About me:
I live with my partner and two mad labradoodles. I taught karate for many years and achieved a 3rd dan black belt. In my spare time, I love to have a blast out on my motorbike or chill out fishing on my boat.

Sabrina

Sabrina Webber

Job Title: Administrator

Joined: 2018

What I Do:


As the Home Administrator, I support residents and families with all things finance during their time at Wellington Vale. I also manage the friendly reception team and support the home with payroll, budgets, suppliers and rota management. I work closely with Sandy, our general manager to ensure all financial aspects of the home are managed effectively.


My Experience:


I started at Wellington Vale in 2018 as a part-time care assistant, then a few years later moved into the role of receptionist. My knowledge and experience of how the home operates soon grew, and in 2021 I accepted the opportunity of progressing to home administrator whilst completing my level 3 in business administration. Previously to Wellington Vale, I worked as a supervisor in retail and also became a fully qualified hairdresser.


About Me:
I live locally with my son Oliver who is 10. We enjoy spending time together as much as we can and we love travelling over to the family holiday home in Spain.
