Very good, superb service. Can't fault.
I came in only able to walk from my bed to the ensuite. But yesterday I walked from my room to the dining room. Big achievement.
Very good in all instances.
A very favourable impression with this facility.
First class service from initial contact and has continued since mother-in-law became a resident in early March.
Everyone at Wellington Vale made my mother most welcome from day one. Nothing is too much trouble. My mother has been a resident for a very short time and is showing an improvement in both her health and demeanour.
My Mother-in-Law moved into Wellington Vale Care Home as a permanent resident, two weeks ago. Prior to moving, she was assessed in hospital by a member of the care home staff, and her family had plenty of access to the home for visits and meetings with the care team. We were all treated with respect and dignity. The transition to the home was made very easy and welcoming and she has settled in happily. All the staff are friendly, caring and address her every need - and have made the wider family welcome to their community. It has been a huge relief to see her happily settled in a loving, safe and friendly environment.
Unfortunately, my mum passed away on Christmas Day.
I would recommend this care home because it's like being in your own home with 24/7 support. A fantastic environment that makes you feel part of a family.
Would highly recommend Wellington Vale a very new, modern home with excellent management and staff giving great care support within a lovely environment.
The food is freshly prepared daily and all diets are catered for. The menus are appetising and offer plenty of choices.
The staff work as a team and there is always someone on hand to answer any queries. The staff are attentive to detail as well as to residents and their visitors.
The establishment looks like a 5-star hotel rather than a care home and offers very pleasant and homely surroundings to those who both visit and stay.
There are many activities for residents if they wish to participate.
The establishment engages with the local community and often invites them to join in events. For example, the Christmas carol service in 2016.
Highly recommended for respite stays for both residents and their carers.
Mum has been in Wellington Vale Care Home on a 2-week respite period. She is quite happy to be able to do exactly as she wants, ie. get dressed, stay in her room and have visitors anytime. She is now staying for another week.
Wellington Vale provides an exceptionally spacious and comfortable home for its residents. We have seen that the staff have very friendly and professional relationships with residents, families and visitors at all times. We have bene very impressed by the service offered by this care home since it opened almost 3 months ago.
The staff include an Activities Co-Ordinator (read as head of fun !) who provides regular interesting activities for residents including film shows, bingo, musical entertainment etc.
My cousin had her birthday recently and the Care Home arranged a birthday party including buffet food and an excellent external entertainment lady with games. Quizzes etc. Excellent.
Food choices are wide with food quality excellent.
Carers are experienced, genuinely caring and cannot do enough for the residents. They are all friendly with both residents and visitors. The home is led by the superb manager who is very efficient, approachable and good humoured.
Heartily recommend.

Meet the Team (5)

As the Interim General Manager, I am responsible for the day-to-day management of the home. I support and lead every department and team member to ensure we deliver quality care and the best home experience we can to our wonderful residents.
It is also very important for me to be available for our residents and their families, to remind them that my door is always open and they are welcome!

What I Do:
As the Home Admission Advisor, I am the main point of contact for new residents and their families. I guide and support them through the decision process of choosing a care home by providing them with information on the choice of our care options, facilities, and the expertise of our team. The best way for residents and families to ‘feel’ our beautiful home is to tour it, so I love to show them around and give them an opportunity to see for themselves everything we have to offer and to meet our incredible team!
My Experience:
I returned to the UK in 2012 after working in Ibiza & Italy in the Tourism sector for 14 years. On my return, I joined the music and entertainment industry, managing DJs and acts from home before venturing back out into the workplace and joining the Wellington Vale team.
About Me:
I live locally with my husband Tim, my son Luca, stepchildren Harry and Lucy, along with my brother-in-law Matt and 15-month-old grandson Caspian. Our beautiful 4-year-old collie, called Sox, completes our crazy but happy family life!

As the head chef at Wellington Vale, I am responsible for providing a healthy, well-balanced variety of meals and snacks to our residents every day. My amazing team and I enjoy creating seasonal and themed menus on special days of the year, which our residents love! It is important to me that every resident looks forward to mealtimes and their meals are packed with nutrition and include any special dietary requirements.
My Experience:I have been lucky to work in some beautiful restaurants, in particular Head Chef at ‘The Canteen’, Chef de Partie at ‘The Briny’ (AA Rosette 1 star) and Sous Chef at ‘The Elsted Inn’ in the heart of the South Downs.
About Me:I have a great passion for cooking and love to bring a restaurant standard to Wellington Vale. I love to sing and dance around the home, and I really enjoy getting to know each resident. I am a family man and have a beautiful daughter Ivy.

As Recruitment Administrator in our home, I oversee the recruitment journey—from carefully reviewing CVs and selecting candidates to ensuring smooth onboarding and induction. I also maintain both physical and digital staff records, ensuring everything is current and compliant.
My ExperienceWith a rich administrative background spanning packaging, marketing, and healthcare, I’ve held roles from personnel administrator to PA in a design and marketing agency and account executive for pharmaceutical clients. This diverse experience has honed my organisational expertise and attention to detail.
About MeI find joy in a balanced, simple life—cherishing time with family, sharing meals and laughter with friends. These days, you’ll often find me on a walk or at an exercise class, and I always make sure there’s a holiday or two on the horizon.

My role as Wellington Vale’s administrator is to support the home with finance management, which includes payroll, supplier accounts, budgets and working closely with resident families regarding their monthly accounts. I also support James, our home manager and the reception team daily.
My ExperienceI have been part of the team at Wellington Vale for six years, starting my journey as a carer, then senior carer, before supporting our deputy managers as the care co-ordinator. I am now enjoying my new role as the home administrator.
About Me
Outside of work, I enjoy playing darts, which definitely brings out my competitive side. I also love shopping and finding a good bargain—even if I don’t really need it!
