My Dad was cared for with kindness & compassion throughout the 11 months he lived there. His medical needs were also met in the same way & with very high professional standards. I cannot fault the care he recieved & would highly reccomend this Care Home to anyone thinking of becoming a resident or looking for a Care Home for a family member. Once again I will use the word 'kindness' as that epitomises the Care that my Dad receievd.
Thank you for your kind words regarding the care and compassion we showed your wonderful dad. Sharing your experience will certainly help other families at that difficult time when considering care for their loved one. Take care and know you are always welcome to pop in anytime you are nearby!
The staff are all amazing. They are friendly, hard-working and provide outstanding care for the residents. I cannot thank them enough for the care my mum received. She left hospital very weak, but left Wellington Vale after respite stay, stronger, healthier and happier. Thank you all so much.
Thank you for this fantastic review! Mum really did benefit from the respite care we offered on discharge from hospital, and it was great to see her strength and zest for life come back!! Remember to pop in for a coffee with mum soon as we all miss her!
Wellington Vale Care Home is an outstanding facility. From the minute you walk in the door the attention to detail and professionalism of ALL the staff is obvious. Everyone from the chef to the senior nurses are welcoming, friendly and absolutely on top of their job. The decor, public spaces and individual rooms are all bright and airy and well designed to meet the needs of the residents. I cannot fault the care given to my father in law and throughout his 11 month stay was repeatedly surprised (and grateful) for the level of care and the effort put in to ensure all his needs were catered for. Despite having advanced dementia he was happy and settled. The management staff are completely approachable and always available to discuss any queries. I doubt there is a better Care Home out there.
Thank you for sharing your experience of Wellington Vale and the care we gave to your father in-law. We pride ourselves on the person-centred care we offer as we know it makes such a huge difference to our residents daily lives. Thank you again for this wonderful review, it is sure to help other families at a difficult time.
My mother-in-law has settled in so well to Wellington Vale, having moved in just before Christmas. She had been reluctant to take the step but has actually enjoyed letting go of all the day to day problems running a house entailed. She loves the garden, especially the wild life that can be seen from her penthouse and the fact that someone else cuts the grass and hedges! She's made good friends there and the nurses, carers and activities team are dedicated and very understanding of her needs and wants. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, whether that is planting flowers from her old garden, having a chat whilst cleaning her room, sorting out a sticky door or booking her in for a hair cut.
Thank you for this excellent review! It has been wonderful to see your mother in-law slowly settle in and now really enjoy everything Wellington Vale has to offer.
The team at Wellington Vale have made Mum very welcome since she moved in. Although feeling uncertain about the home, she has been very well cared for and now loves her new home. She has made new friends and loves the staff who care for her. She loves the meals and has put weight on since relocating. She enjoys most of the activities, especially the balloon volleyball and trips out.
The facilities are amazing and the staff so welcoming, engaging and helpful, both to Mum and us.
Thank you for taking the time to share this fantastic review. Mum really has settled well and makes the most of everything we offer at Wellington Vale. We really enjoy your visits and hearing that you always feel so welcome is important to us too!
Excellent care, staff attentive and accessible at all times. The home provides many activities and encourages all residents to participate. Menus - excellent, multiple choices. No hesitation in recommending Wellington Vale.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience of Wellington Vale and recommending us to other families in need of support. Mum has a wonderful character and has made some really special friendships here which is beautiful to see. We look forward to seeing you during your next visit.
The team at Wellington Vale are outstanding. I cannot recommend this care home enough. Upon entering it is like a 5-star hotel, so welcoming from the start. All the staff are amazing, so kind, caring, well trained and knowledgable. They all respect their residents, treating them as individuals, preserving their dignity and promoting a wonderful sense of self-worth. The ratio of staff to residents is evident every time we visit, all staff are cheerful, never seem to be in a hurry so they have plenty of time to attend to the needs of individual residents without having to rush them. The meals are awesome, homecooked and well thought out with plenty of choices. I am pleasantly surprised that my mum has settled in so well, she feels safe, secure and part of a large family at Wellington Vale. The Home Admissions Advisor and team certainly exceed all expectations. Thank you to everyone.
Thank you for this outstanding review of our wonderful home and our amazing team!! It has been a privilege to welcome and care for your beautiful mum at what was a difficult time for you all. To see Mum nicely settled and know your family are content with the care we offer here is very rewarding for all of us. You are all very much part of the Wellington Vale family!
My mother-in-law always dreaded going into a care home, we were so pleased when we found Wellington Vale. The members of staff are lovely, caring, approachable, great at keeping the family updated and asking for our input. We've been to a few events here the best was the carnival on bule Monday, it was such fun, the residents were dancing, laughing and smiling. Those in bed could see the float as it passed by their door and they had visits from the various members of staff in fab fancy dress, it was a joy to watch and be part of. Well done everyone and thank you.
Thank you for sharing your experience of our wonderful home! Your support at our recent Carnival was invaluable, and the photos were great - thank you for joining in the fun!!
I always visit my Grandad at Wellington Vale and it shows a real difference in his personality. He's met so many new friends, and so many new stories to tell. He's well looked after and seems so much happier.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience of Wellington Vale. We have loved getting to know your grandad and listen to his wonderful stories!! Your grandad is a popular character amongst his new friends and our team, and it is fantastic that you can see the benefits of him joining us here at Wellington Vale.
The team at Wellington Vale cared for my dad in the last few days of his life. I was overwhelmed by the level of care that he received. The staff were friendly, respectful, very knowledgeable and above all incredibly caring. I will be forever grateful that we were able to find a room here and cannot recommend Wellington Vale highly enough. Wonderful. Thank you all.
Thank you for sharing your experience of our team here at Wellington Vale. We feel privileged to have been able to support not only your father, but yourself and family during such a difficult time.
What an amazing place Wellington Vale is! There is a fantastic atmosphere as soon as you enter; vibrant, friendly, and fun with a definite 'buzz' about the place! My 95-year-old father moved in three months ago and loves his new home. The management and staff are already like family. Dad loves the daily activities, delicious meals and professional thoughtful care he receives. His room is beautiful, the place is more like a five-star residential hotel than a care home. It's a game changer for me living 5000 miles away knowing he is safe, happy and enjoying his new lifestyle!
Thank you for sharing your experience of our wonderful home and team. It makes us feel very proud to hear that even though you are so far away you are confident and content with the love and care we show your adorable dad. We love forward to seeing you on your next visit.
Wellington Vale is a fantastic care home, there is always a buzz of activity and all the staff are super. There is a real feel of all being a big family. They make everyone feel welcome from the very first minute you arrive!
Thank you for this wonderful review of your experience of our home and team. We do have lots of fun here and love you all to feel a part of that as the Wellington Vale family.
I have always found Wellington Vale Care Home very helpful and friendly. The residents are lovely.
Thank you for sharing your positive experience of our wonderful home. Our residents absolutely love your visits!
The home is managed professionally, friendly and is always welcoming.
A very big THANK YOU for all the support you have given to Wellington Vale over the last 6 years. Our residents love it when you visit, you give them your time and care which is admirable. Thank you for sharing your love of our home!
Both my parents were resident at Wellington Vale for several months for end-of-life care. It was the worst time of our lives but we honestly couldn't have got through it without the exemplary care of the staff and nurses at Wellington Vale. I know both my parents were as happy as they could be under the circumstances. The place is beautiful and more like a boutique hotel but the nursing and care staff make this a safe humane, caring place to be. They went above and beyond for us.
Thank you for sharing your experience of our team's compassion and care here at Wellington Vale. We remember your family fondly, it was such a difficult time for you all. Knowing that you and your parents felt deeply cared for at that time in their lives makes us all at Wellington Vale feel very proud and privileged to have been part of your support network.
What a lovely home with a lovely atmosphere. The was clean and inviting. All the staff were so welcoming. Every time we visited we were made to feel so special. The home is well-managed and the attention to detail is next to none. Can't recommend this home enough. Thank you all at Wellington. Look forward to seeing you all soon.
Thank you for this wonderful review of our home! It is great that you were able to see how happy our residents are and how much fun they are having too!! We look forward to your next visit.
I recently visited my Nan and would just like to say just how lovely the experience was. The home is beautiful and feels like being in a hotel. The staff were all so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble and assisted when we were in the seating area getting a hot drink. It really does not feel like a care home and is very clean.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience of Wellington Vale when you visited your nan. It is really important to us that family members feel welcome and confident in the care we are giving their loved ones. We look forward to you visiting again!
Right from the initial visit and meeting with the manager I felt confident about Wellington Vale. Professional and friendly, information was shared that covered all the important details. My dad's room was attractive and clean, and we were invited to bring things which would make him feel at home. An important point for us was that he be encouraged and supported to be independent and move regularly - all of which happened. Everyone we met from the office team and nursing staff, to those who planned the menu and activities were helpful, genuine and supportive. 100% recommend.
Thank you for sharing your experience with our amazing team here at Wellington Vale. We really enjoyed getting to know Dad and it was a pleasure looking after him. I will ensure I let all team members know what a fantastic difference they have made!
My mum gained strength and zest for life after a few days in their care.
She loved the food and they went beyond to accommodate her dairy-free diet.
Thank you for sharing your family's experience with the team here at Wellington Vale. We have thoroughly enjoyed supporting your lovely mum and getting to know all of your family. We will miss Mum but are very happy and proud that after our care Mum is strong enough and ready to move closer to her friends.
My husband was in respite care for 4 weeks and I must say how well he was looked after. All staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our wonderful home. It was a pleasure getting to know your husband and taking care of him during his respite stay with us.

Meet the Team (5)

As the Interim General Manager, I am responsible for the day-to-day management of the home. I support and lead every department and team member to ensure we deliver quality care and the best home experience we can to our wonderful residents.
It is also very important for me to be available for our residents and their families, to remind them that my door is always open and they are welcome!

What I Do:
As the Home Admission Advisor, I am the main point of contact for new residents and their families. I guide and support them through the decision process of choosing a care home by providing them with information on the choice of our care options, facilities, and the expertise of our team. The best way for residents and families to ‘feel’ our beautiful home is to tour it, so I love to show them around and give them an opportunity to see for themselves everything we have to offer and to meet our incredible team!
My Experience:
I returned to the UK in 2012 after working in Ibiza & Italy in the Tourism sector for 14 years. On my return, I joined the music and entertainment industry, managing DJs and acts from home before venturing back out into the workplace and joining the Wellington Vale team.
About Me:
I live locally with my husband Tim, my son Luca, stepchildren Harry and Lucy, along with my brother-in-law Matt and 15-month-old grandson Caspian. Our beautiful 4-year-old collie, called Sox, completes our crazy but happy family life!

As the head chef at Wellington Vale, I am responsible for providing a healthy, well-balanced variety of meals and snacks to our residents every day. My amazing team and I enjoy creating seasonal and themed menus on special days of the year, which our residents love! It is important to me that every resident looks forward to mealtimes and their meals are packed with nutrition and include any special dietary requirements.
My Experience:I have been lucky to work in some beautiful restaurants, in particular Head Chef at ‘The Canteen’, Chef de Partie at ‘The Briny’ (AA Rosette 1 star) and Sous Chef at ‘The Elsted Inn’ in the heart of the South Downs.
About Me:I have a great passion for cooking and love to bring a restaurant standard to Wellington Vale. I love to sing and dance around the home, and I really enjoy getting to know each resident. I am a family man and have a beautiful daughter Ivy.

As Recruitment Administrator in our home, I oversee the recruitment journey—from carefully reviewing CVs and selecting candidates to ensuring smooth onboarding and induction. I also maintain both physical and digital staff records, ensuring everything is current and compliant.
My ExperienceWith a rich administrative background spanning packaging, marketing, and healthcare, I’ve held roles from personnel administrator to PA in a design and marketing agency and account executive for pharmaceutical clients. This diverse experience has honed my organisational expertise and attention to detail.
About MeI find joy in a balanced, simple life—cherishing time with family, sharing meals and laughter with friends. These days, you’ll often find me on a walk or at an exercise class, and I always make sure there’s a holiday or two on the horizon.

My role as Wellington Vale’s administrator is to support the home with finance management, which includes payroll, supplier accounts, budgets and working closely with resident families regarding their monthly accounts. I also support James, our home manager and the reception team daily.
My ExperienceI have been part of the team at Wellington Vale for six years, starting my journey as a carer, then senior carer, before supporting our deputy managers as the care co-ordinator. I am now enjoying my new role as the home administrator.
About Me
Outside of work, I enjoy playing darts, which definitely brings out my competitive side. I also love shopping and finding a good bargain—even if I don’t really need it!
