Over all time Wellington Vale Care Home has 173 reviews.
We have been very happy with the care Mum has received from Wellington Vale. She settled in very quickly and is very well looked after. She is enjoying the food and all of the activities that are on offer. The staff all seem very friendly and caring, and Mum seems very at home. Nice facility as well.
Thank you for taking the time to review Wellington Vale. Mum really does enjoy the activities, and we love Mum being part of our family!
Could not be happier that our loved one is here. The staff could not be any better, they take the time to speak to the clients by name and nothing is too much trouble. They have wonderful events every day, on-site hairdressing, the food and the general ambience of the place are like being in a 5-star hotel. Can't rate this place highly enough.
Thank you; it has been a pleasure welcoming Mum to Wellington Vale and, of course, your wonderful family too!!
Her room is like a home from home and we are fully assured of her safety and well-being at all times.
The staff are very attentive and caring and the daily activity schedule keeps all the patients as active as possible, even stretching to outdoor visits which she really enjoyed. The food is also excellent and varied.
To sum up, Wellington Vale is an excellent care home that I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone seeking top-level care for a dementia patient.
Thank you for this excellent review! Mum has certainly settled in so well and is enjoying every day!
Dad was a bit reluctant at first but needed a base close to the hospital for regular visits. He stayed for four weeks but didn’t want to leave.
Without exception, the staff have been absolutely fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. It has such a friendly and positive atmosphere, lots going on if you want it and plenty of quiet places if you don’t.
It’s spotlessly clean everywhere and smells fresh so it’s more like a hotel than a care home.
Communication with me is excellent for all of Dad's needs and I feel reassured that they will sort out anything he requires.
It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for and it’s worth it.
The captain's table was a great idea. More frequent, please.
I rarely write reviews and had to rely on reviews to find Dad this amazing place. I hope this helps others help loved ones.
Thank you for taking the time to write this fantastic review. I am sure this will help future families make the difficult decision of choosing a quality care home.
The room was comfy, with an ensuite, Mum needed a different pillow, changed happily with a smile. The view and tree full of birds were an awesome bonus.
Varied activities daily - visiting pets, days out, hairdresser, nails done, all enjoyed by Mum. Walks in the colourful well-tended gardens, chats in the coffee shop... friends were made. Thank you, Wellington Vale, for making her stay a happy experience.
Thank you! It was a pleasure looking after Mum whilst you were away - you could say Mum went on holiday too - to Wellington Vale! Hope to see you both again before Christmas for a hot chocolate or mulled wine!
I'm happy here - well looked after, met a lot of new people and excellent staff. So well looked after.
Thank you for the excellent review! It is great to see you making so many new friends since living here at Wellington Vale!
Everyone has been amazingly kind and caring. I will miss you all until my next stay. Thank you.
We can't wait for your next stay and neither can our residents! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review!
All the staff from the manager to reception, all care staff and admissions are so kind, caring and helpful. From the first day, my mother was made to feel welcome at Wellington Vale. The rooms are comfortable and to a high standard. The activities are fun and varied for all the residents to enjoy. There are quiet, lovely lounges to sit and for family members to visit. Also, a lovely seating area overlooking the well-kept gardens during the summer. The food provided is excellent too. It is a really lovely relaxing care home with friendly and caring care staff available at all times.
Thank you for sharing this review. I will never forget your Mum's face when Rod Stewart welcomed her to Wellington Vale!!
Excellent support and attention both in medical and communication elements. The focus of attention is centred around the residents' well-being and social interaction to promote their mental awareness. Excellent environment to be in!
Thank you for your kind words! Everything we do is for our residents' individual needs to ensure they are having the best day, every day! Social interaction is so important and we certainly offer that here at Wellington Vale!
I am very happy here. I love both gardens and the care I receive.
Thank you for taking the time to share your love of Wellington Vale, we are happy you are living here too! We love watching you enjoy walking around the gardens every day!
trying to find care homes for elderly parents, and knowing how they vary, I was very encouraged by what I found even just from initial phone calls to Wellington Vale. Everyone was very efficient, but also warm and friendly and this continued throughout my stay.
The buildings are modern, purpose-built and don't feel 'institutional' with welcoming communal spaces indoors and outside, as well as spacious comfortable individual facilities. Activities are varied and thoughtful to suit a range of people.
The staff are kind and treat people like individuals - even when they are very busy - and it felt like nothing was too much trouble. Families and visitors are made to feel welcome and it feels safe and secure.
I would highly recommend it here!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of staying with us here at Wellington Vale. It was a pleasure being there for you when you needed support!
My wife and I have taken part in several events that have been organised, i.e. charity walks, coffee mornings and litter pickings!
We have built up a good rapport with the Admissions Manager, who guided and helped us from the beginning when we first made the initial enquires about getting her into Wellington Vale and the whole process was made easy for us by them. It is reassuring that we are able to speak to her about the care/issues etc. that we may have.
Thank you for taking the time to review Wellington Vale and an even bigger thank you for all the support you and your wife give to us as a home! Our events wouldn't be the same without you - Summer Fair next!
Nan was made to feel very welcome when she moved in and is very happy. She always gives positive feedback about the staff and the facilities which is reassuring for the family. I follow Wellington Vale on Facebook and I love seeing what events they are celebrating and activities they have been up to - it shows that it’s never a dull day at Wellington Vale! An all-round 5-star service.
Thank you for this 5-star review! You are right, there is never a dull moment here and Nan loves being a part of that!
Such a wonderful care home, from the accommodation to the staff. Thank you to everyone and especially the home admissions advisor for all your guidance, help and care! I really am impressed and feel safe in the knowledge that my dear friend is in the best place.
Many thanks for taking the time to write this wonderful review!
Thoroughly happy here, excellent care! This is my home!
Thank you for this excellent review! It is lovely to hear how happy you are!
Absolutely delighted. Love it here.
We love you being here too! Thank you for taking the time to review us!
Wellington Vale is very nice, everything you could wish for is here.
Thank you for this wonderful review! It is lovely to hear that we provide everything you wish for in a home!
To see the difference in Mum's appearance and well being is incredible, she has really come out of herself and enjoys the banter with the team at Wellington Vale.
Its decor is inviting and there is always something going on and even if Mum doesn’t always join in, she can sit back and watch, the food is amazing and Mum's bedroom is beautiful.
All in all, I wouldn’t want Mum to be anywhere else.
Thank you for looking after my mum, Wellington Vale.
Thank you for this lovely review! I remember the day I helped Mum move in, she has settled in so well and really is part of our family here at Wellington Vale!
It is my great pleasure to write a review for Wellington. I chose to use their respite care service following a major operation, due to home circumstances. It was without a doubt a good choice. The care, food, sensitivity and dignity I was afforded was touching. Although a large environment, it was friendly, homely and a professional place to be. The staff were amazing, gentle and kind, while professional. If you are considering this as a place for yourself or a loved family member, visit and see for yourself.
Thank you for this wonderful review! It was a pleasure to take care of you during your recovery, helping you to gain the strength to go back home to your amazing husband! Thank you also from all of the team for the fabulous poem you wrote to us all.
I definitely recommend this home to anyone who requires residential care.
A great review - thank you so much! It is so important to us that families have trust and confidence in our home and the team that take care of your loved ones so thank you for sharing that with us!

Meet the Team (5)

As the Interim General Manager, I am responsible for the day-to-day management of the home. I support and lead every department and team member to ensure we deliver quality care and the best home experience we can to our wonderful residents.
It is also very important for me to be available for our residents and their families, to remind them that my door is always open and they are welcome!

What I Do:
As the Home Admission Advisor, I am the main point of contact for new residents and their families. I guide and support them through the decision process of choosing a care home by providing them with information on the choice of our care options, facilities, and the expertise of our team. The best way for residents and families to ‘feel’ our beautiful home is to tour it, so I love to show them around and give them an opportunity to see for themselves everything we have to offer and to meet our incredible team!
My Experience:
I returned to the UK in 2012 after working in Ibiza & Italy in the Tourism sector for 14 years. On my return, I joined the music and entertainment industry, managing DJs and acts from home before venturing back out into the workplace and joining the Wellington Vale team.
About Me:
I live locally with my husband Tim, my son Luca, stepchildren Harry and Lucy, along with my brother-in-law Matt and 15-month-old grandson Caspian. Our beautiful 4-year-old collie, called Sox, completes our crazy but happy family life!

As the head chef at Wellington Vale, I am responsible for providing a healthy, well-balanced variety of meals and snacks to our residents every day. My amazing team and I enjoy creating seasonal and themed menus on special days of the year, which our residents love! It is important to me that every resident looks forward to mealtimes and their meals are packed with nutrition and include any special dietary requirements.
My Experience:I have been lucky to work in some beautiful restaurants, in particular Head Chef at ‘The Canteen’, Chef de Partie at ‘The Briny’ (AA Rosette 1 star) and Sous Chef at ‘The Elsted Inn’ in the heart of the South Downs.
About Me:I have a great passion for cooking and love to bring a restaurant standard to Wellington Vale. I love to sing and dance around the home, and I really enjoy getting to know each resident. I am a family man and have a beautiful daughter Ivy.

As Recruitment Administrator in our home, I oversee the recruitment journey—from carefully reviewing CVs and selecting candidates to ensuring smooth onboarding and induction. I also maintain both physical and digital staff records, ensuring everything is current and compliant.
My ExperienceWith a rich administrative background spanning packaging, marketing, and healthcare, I’ve held roles from personnel administrator to PA in a design and marketing agency and account executive for pharmaceutical clients. This diverse experience has honed my organisational expertise and attention to detail.
About MeI find joy in a balanced, simple life—cherishing time with family, sharing meals and laughter with friends. These days, you’ll often find me on a walk or at an exercise class, and I always make sure there’s a holiday or two on the horizon.

My role as Wellington Vale’s administrator is to support the home with finance management, which includes payroll, supplier accounts, budgets and working closely with resident families regarding their monthly accounts. I also support James, our home manager and the reception team daily.
My ExperienceI have been part of the team at Wellington Vale for six years, starting my journey as a carer, then senior carer, before supporting our deputy managers as the care co-ordinator. I am now enjoying my new role as the home administrator.
About Me
Outside of work, I enjoy playing darts, which definitely brings out my competitive side. I also love shopping and finding a good bargain—even if I don’t really need it!
