We are very happy with all aspects of care of our 99-year-old mother. She is frail and has not been well but the care of her at Weald Heights has been amazing. Good food, warm environment, a new building and above all, kind and gentle staff. Well ahead of two other care home we have tried. Thank you

The care that my mother receives is delivered with kindness, consideration, dignity and humour. Furthermore, the staff are happy to discuss her care and address any concerns we may have on medical matters. The activities are excellent and the residents are encouraged to join in. I visit my mother every three months, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. All the staff, including those who must be fairly new, cheerfully greet my mother as we wheel her through the home. The staff contact me whenever there is a problem, and I am happy that I am kept informed about developments.
There
always seems to be plenty of activities happening at the home and in the local area that residents can participate in, even where they have mobility difficulties.
The only minor issue is that the turnover of staff, although I suspect this is a problem in the entire sector. The key staff that I deal with have not changed over the last year, which is helpful.

Weald Heights has been a home for my mother for the past 2 years. She has been cared for extremely well and with great kindness. Transferring from a home you have lived in independently for many years to a care home is very hard for all residents. The staff helped to make that change as easy as possible
for my mother although she finds the loss of independence and privacy quite hard even now. The size of the home is perfect for her, not too vast and daunting and although she suffers with mobility problems it’s easy to get from A to B. The activities in the home are great and provide an opportunity for the residents to mingle and make friends. The staff are always friendly when you visit and very approachable if you need to discuss anything at all.

My dad has been in Weald Heights for 2 years and it is now his home. The care he receives is wonderful and everybody treats him with respect and he is shown such kindness. My mum would love to look after him herself but as this isn't possible this is definitely the best option. There is a positive cheerful
feeling when you enter and we are always greeted by the lovely reception staff. Not only do the carers look after my dad but also my mum when she visits on her own. Everyone is so friendly. Dad's room is always spotless. I can't recommend Weald Heights enough.

My Mother has been a resident for 2 years having lived independently until widowed.
It was a huge change for her to move to residential care and as a rather shy person, it was a challenge for her to integrate with a new community. This has been achieved to a large extent due to the personal interest
shown by the care staff, the thoughtful and responsive management and of course the proximity to her immediate family. She has been able to maintain her privacy while still enjoying communal meal times and her choice of the very varied activities on offer. The relaxed and informal atmosphere facilitates unrestricted visits from family and encourages a sense of belonging for all. The facilities are fresh and attractive and often draw comparisons with a 5-star hotel! Overall our family has been very satisfied with the choice of care for our lovely Mum.

My mother has been in Weald Heights for two years with Alzheimer's diagnosis but able to function and enjoy life at Weald Heights. It took some time for her to settle as she was very frightened of everything. The staff have been amazing throughout, I cannot speak highly enough about the team on the
first floor. The home is spotless, the cleaners are polite and know all the residents. The care team are kind, sympathetic to my needs as well as my mothers and treat everyone as an individual. Nothing is too much trouble. Dining with dignity and able to care for the unique needs of my mum.
Naturally, it has taken some time to establish the staff teams from new beginnings but being well lead by the home manager always gave me the confidence that she would ensure an excellent home, and she has. I have been a full-time carer for my parents in the past, it is easy to criticise others when you finally have to make the decision to hand over the reins. Don't hesitate, it really is brilliant.

Weald Heights has provided excellent care for my mother and father. The staff are genuinely concerned for the welfare of the residents. My father was only here for three days before he passed away. He came from another care home which did not offer nursing care. The nurses and all of the staff here were excellent, not only to my father but to the family too. They made his passing and death a peaceful affair for us all. My only regret
- not bringing him here months ago.

Having seen the treatment my wife received in her final days, I had no hesitation in asking the management to ensure a room would be available for me as soon as I needed it. No complaints about the building but few rooms get much sunshine. Staff appear to have all been recruited because of their caring,
their kindness and their courtest. One still reads of care homes having serious problems, mainly about staff/patient attitudes but no such problems could apply to Weald Heights, only to places where management is poor.

Whenever I visit my friend at Weald Heights I am always greeted warmly by the staff and made to feel very welcome. My friend is well cared for and she enjoys the activities offered, especially pampering and music. There is always a 'buzz' around the home and something to do. I would recommend Weald

Weald Heights has provided excellent care to my mother and father. My father received attentive end of life care with our family at his bedside.
My mother has received very good dementia care from a carer and activities team that has quickly understood my mother's needs. Their warmth and enthusiasm

I feel very lucky that a room was available for my husband when he was discharged from hospital. The staff are helpful, friendly and so very caring, not only to my husband but to me also. Whilst I am very sad that I am unable to care for my husband, I know that at Weald Heights he is getting the best

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2016

I’m a registered nurse by training and have worked in older people’s care for 25 years. Before joining Weald Heights in 2016, I had managed a large care home for ten years. I’ve been at Weald Heights since before it opened its doors. I’m delighted at the way my team and I have made it a home with a first-class reputation.


I believe in setting the standard, rather than following, and we take an innovative, personalised approach to resident care. When residents said they fancied learning a new language, we set up Spanish lessons and joined with a local parent and toddler group so that the generations could learn together. And when a gentleman, who is a keen musician, wanted to visit the Royal Albert Hall for his 90th birthday, we worked with his family to make it happen and to give him an unforgettable day.


I was delighted with our ‘good’ rating from the CQC, which we gained in September 2018. I’m now looking forward to continuing to work with my skilled and passionate team to go one better. Our aim now is to become an ‘outstanding’ provider of great care for older people in Sevenoaks, and across Kent and the South East of England.
