From the first day my sister entered Bourne Wood Manor, she has been carefully looked after, with love and support. The staff are truly 100% caring. Any ups and down's my sister has, the staff are there helping and understanding and calming her down.

Kind and helpful staff. Great having the bistro (helps getting auntie out of her room!). Exercise class and communion service are much appreciated. Food really good, lovely room and a beautiful garden (interesting to walk around).

We visited our friend who has recently moved into Bourne Wood. We were so impressed! Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! We stayed for lunch with her - the food was really lovely and beautifully presented. The staff are amazing, the home is like a comfortable hotel with thoughtful ‘homely’ touches. I’m so pleased our friend is being cared for in such a wonderful environment.

Thank you!

I have been made to feel very welcome by all staff at Bourne Wood Manor. It is a very comfortable setting with two lovely gardens and well looked after paths and other seating areas. My room is large with a patio to the pathways and an ensuite wet room is a welcome facility which means that I can shower independently, although I am confident that I could call on assistance if required. The food is better than I expected and the menu is varied and interesting.

I cannot thank the staff at Bourne Wood Manor enough for their care, compassion and professionalism showed to my late father. Although he was only at the home two weeks before he died aged 92, the dedication of all the carers and staff was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and we as a family were made so welcome. The other residents were delightful and it was clear that they all enjoyed the activities and friendly, caring environment provided at Bourne Wood. We were able to be with my dad in the days before he died and the staff ensured that we had the time, space and support to ensure he had a lovely, peaceful death in a beautiful, calm environment with superb medical support. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone thinking about care for the elderly. I am certainly booking my place when the time comes! Thanks to all of you.

We looked at seven care homes. Some were like hospitals, some very traditional, but Bourne Wood is purpose-built, luxurious and more like a hotel. I am going to put my own name on the resident list! My mum improved during her respite period, proper administration of medication and three meals a day, made a huge difference to her anxiety and demeanour. I can assure anyone that this is the place to be.

Mum is very happy here and has lived here for over four years and considers it her home. It's a lovely, friendly place and is getting back to normal after covid, which is lovely. We have just spent a lovely afternoon with Mum, celebrating the queen's jubilee. The staff worked very hard to give everyone a good time.

My Mother has been a resident at Bourne Wood Manor Care Home for just over two years and feels so at home that the thought of going back to her old flat has gone completely from her mind. The care of the staff is exceptional and nothing is ever too much trouble. It is so nice to hear my mother laugh her way through the day with the staff. As a relative, I am always made to feel so welcome and the reassurance that my mother is happy, safe and well cared for gives me total peace of mind. Thank you, to you all.

My mother loves it here in Bourne Wood. The staff are genuinely caring and the purpose-built building and facilities are excellent. After 4 weeks of respite here my mother was no longer afraid of moving into care permanently and losing her perceived independence. She was finally able to admit that she was struggling at home and a danger to herself. The stimulating activities, the tasty food, the social interactions with staff and residents, the respect and the feeling of safety she gets here more than compensated. She was actually really happy to return!

My mother is very happy at Bourne Wood Manor. All the staff are wonderful with her. They seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. They are so patient, kind and thoughtful. There is a lot of laughter!

My mother is very fussy with her food and she loves the food. My sister and I went for lunch with my mother and it was excellent, as good as a restaurant! Thank you.

Mum has been a resident since the beginning of January. She was quite nervous and unsure about moving here, but has settled in really well over the 2 months. All of the staff have been very kind and supportive. Due to this, Mum is becoming increasingly involved in the group activities that are put on each day. She seems very happy interacting with all of the staff and residents.

Bourne Wood provides an excellent care setting with hotel standard accommodation. They do their utmost to tailor the care experience to the individual resident. Overall the level of service is excellent and my uncle is as happy as he can be in a care setting.

My dad arrived at Bourne Wood in February 2018, it became his home as my mum passed away in 2019. Since he arrived he has had excellent care over more than three years. I was away on holiday when my dad passed away. The staff were amazing with communication to both myself and my son. As well as now missing my dad I am also missing going in and chatting with staff. They have become like family!
