My husband has been exceedingly well looked after since his arrival in March 2023. The family and I are very pleased that we made the right choice for him to come to Bourne Wood Manor where everyone is friendly and caring to us all. My husband is happy and realises that he is in a safe environment and

My mother has been at Bournewood Manor for two years and I truly cannot fault the care and love that she has received, from the extraordinarily wonderful care staff, to the thoughtful cleaners and amazing kitchen staff, particularly the chef. My mother has a severe dairy allergy and the chef produces
her delicious dairy-free meals and snacks. The care staff are always so kind and nothing is ever too much trouble. At the end of the day, Mummy feels loved, cared for and secure, what more could we ask!

My mum was a resident with Bourne Wood Manor for a little under a year until she sadly passed away in July. In her last months at the home where she grew more frail every day, the nurses and staff at the home looked after her with compassion and professionalism. The care from the manager and the team
is genuine and although they all work hard, nothing is too much effort. Every time we visited, even with children we were made to feel welcome and it was clear from the other residents and how they interacted, that this is a friendly and caring environment. We looked at a number of nursing homes before choosing Bourne Wood Manor and I'm so glad we did. I would highly recommend!

Bourne Wood Manor is a bright, cheerful and welcoming home. It is modern and has beautiful well-kept gardens to wander around and a lovely bistro to meet and have a coffee and enjoy spending some time together. All the staff are passionate about their work. They are wonderful, caring and are genuinely
approachable and there to help. They have really tried to get to know my mother and are always supportive to her and our family. There is a varied choice of enriching activities, including live music and the staff encourage participation. Key events are always celebrated with enthusiasm and there is always plenty of fun and good humour. Whenever I have taken my mother out, the staff are so pleased to see her on our return and always keen to hear what she has been up to. Most importantly, we have peace of mind that she is being well cared for in a homely environment.

From the first day my sister entered Bourne Wood Manor, she has been carefully looked after, with love and support. The staff are truly 100% caring. Any ups and down's my sister has, the staff are there helping and understanding and calming her down.

My father spent two weeks at Bourne Wood Manor for respite care and had a wonderful stay. All staff were extremely friendly and caring and nothing was too much trouble. The care he received was fantastic and his room was delightful. The food was superb. We would highly recommend Bourne Wood Manor.

We visited our friend who has recently moved into Bourne Wood. We were so impressed! Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! We stayed for lunch with her - the food was really lovely and beautifully presented. The staff are amazing, the home is like a comfortable
hotel with thoughtful ‘homely’ touches. I’m so pleased our friend is being cared for in such a wonderful environment.

I have been made to feel very welcome by all staff at Bourne Wood Manor. It is a very comfortable setting with two lovely gardens and well looked after paths and other seating areas. My room is large with a patio to the pathways and an ensuite wet room is a welcome facility which means that I can shower
independently, although I am confident that I could call on assistance if required. The food is better than I expected and the menu is varied and interesting.

I cannot thank the staff at Bourne Wood Manor enough for their care, compassion and professionalism showed to my late father. Although he was only at the home two weeks before he died aged 92, the dedication of all the carers and staff was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and we as a family
were made so welcome. The other residents were delightful and it was clear that they all enjoyed the activities and friendly, caring environment provided at Bourne Wood. We were able to be with my dad in the days before he died and the staff ensured that we had the time, space and support to ensure he had a lovely, peaceful death in a beautiful, calm environment with superb medical support. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone thinking about care for the elderly. I am certainly booking my place when the time comes! Thanks to all of you.

I enjoyed my two-week stay. The home is well run. The staff are friendly, helpful and supportive. There is a good selection of activities to take part in and we were encouraged to do so. Would recommend this home.

We looked at seven care homes. Some were like hospitals, some very traditional, but Bourne Wood is purpose-built, luxurious and more like a hotel. I am going to put my own name on the resident list! My mum improved during her respite period, proper administration of medication and three meals a day,
made a huge difference to her anxiety and demeanour. I can assure anyone that this is the place to be.

I moved into Bourne Wood Manor Care Home, to help look after my husband who suffered from Parkinsons'. Since he died I am more than happy to stay here as everyone is very kind and looks after me well. I enjoy the food. The way they keep us entertained and feel relaxed about living here.

Mum is very happy here and has lived here for over four years and considers it her home. It's a lovely, friendly place and is getting back to normal after covid, which is lovely. My Mother has been a resident at Bourne Wood Manor Care Home for just over two years and feels so at home that the thought of going back to her old flat has gone completely from her mind. The care of the staff is exceptional and nothing is ever too much trouble. It is so nice to hear my mother laugh

My mother loves it here in Bourne Wood. The staff are genuinely caring and the purpose-built building and facilities are excellent. After 4 weeks of respite here my mother was no longer afraid of moving into care permanently and losing her perceived independence. She was finally able to admit that she
was struggling at home and a danger to herself. The stimulating activities, the tasty food, the social interactions with staff and residents, the respect and the feeling of safety she gets here more than compensated. She was actually really happy to return!

Hello, my name is Annie Russell, and I am the Client Service Manager here at Bourne Wood Manor.


I studied at Godalming College, where I completed A-levels in Sociology and Hospitality. Through my studies, I developed strong customer service skills and consistently achieved high targets. My educational background has given me a solid foundation in understanding people and meeting their needs effectively.


I started working in the care sector due to my personal experience of helping my family find care for my grandparents. This experience has been deeply impactful and has equipped me with the qualities needed to be a trustworthy and compassionate person to speak to. It has also fuelled my passion for providing the best possible care and support to residents and their families.


In my free time, I enjoy spending quality moments with my friends and family. We love going on new adventures, whether it is exploring new places, trying out new activities or simply enjoying each other's company. These experiences have enriched my life and have helped me to become a more empathetic and understanding person.
