Since transferring to Bourne Wood Manor Mum has been looked after Incredibly well. All needs are met, the quality and choice of food on offer is fantastic, the staff are very friendly and know how to help Mum, no matter what her mood may be. The Bistro is a perfect location to take Mum where she can
have a pastry whilst looking out over the gardens. We as a family are very happy with all at Bourne Wood Manor.

My dad moved into Bourne Wood Manor Care Home in September 2022 and has vascular dementia. From day one, all of the staff, whether that be the nurses, carers, chefs, maintenance and the management team, have shown sincere care, kindliness and compassion in the well-being of Dad. As Dad's dementia has
progressed, they have shown dedicated commitment in supporting him and have a deep understanding of his mental and physical changes. Parallel to this, their continuing and increasing support to me when visits are emotionally tough is something that I am incredibly grateful for. Thank you to everyone.

We find Bourne Wood Manor Care Home very welcoming and the staff go the extra mile for residents. They also are sincere in their care and make the world of difference to my father-in-law's day. The building is bright and clean, recently refurbished when we thought it was looking great before. Beautiful
outside space. I love the bistro and the way the restaurant is set up every day. Fabulous entertainment and activities along with visits. We feel very lucky that we are part of this lovely care home.

I actually can’t fault the care home. It really is everything you could wish for in a home. The staff are truly caring and experienced. The food and hospitality is top rate and the activities are wide-ranging. I looked at around 15 or more care homes to find Bourne Wood and it really is the best around
by a mile.

My mum has settled in very well considering her reluctance to go into a care home, but the staff have been extremely welcoming, kind, caring and helpful to her. She has become more involved in the activities and even ones I thought she would never do. She absolutely loves the food and enjoys chatting
with the staff as well as the residents. Everyone is very helpful, polite and caring. Whenever I visit the staff are very friendly and always helpful. It has taken the worry away of her being at home on her own knowing that she always has staff on hand to help her. She suffers from Parkinsons and they are with her every step of the way and treat her with dignity.

From the start, the experience with Bourne Wood has been excellent. This has included the support from the team getting my mother here, getting her settled in and the support that is needed to enable Mum to live comfortably.
The staff are always happy and can be seen to treat residents with great
care and respect.
Having been to see a large amount of care homes, it was very pleasing to see the decor of the dementia floor is at the same level as the rest of the building. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend Bourne Wood Manor Care Home.

My dad has only been a resident at Bourne Wood Manor Care Home for the last three weeks but in this time, he now seems to be thriving under the nursing care, he is no longer in the pain he seemed to be in at hospital or when he lived at home. He has begun to join in activities in the day room and eat
his lunch in the dining room - I never expected him to leave his room! He always seems clean and well-presented when I visit and any issues have been quickly picked up and dealt with via the team on the reception on the dementia wing. So far, all so good!

My wife is happy here and finds all the staff very friendly and helpful. There is no question that her health has improved a lot since she has been here. She appreciates the quiet atmosphere.
One or two musical entertainments have been disappointing.

Dad has been in Bourne Wood Manor Care Home for five weeks. Everything has been organised to make him feel welcome in what must be a strange new world. The staff are all very helpful, and the facilities excellent, with a lovely garden to walk around. All of our requests are dealt with quickly and efficiently,
so we are very pleased with Bourne Wood Manor Care Home and its services.

Six week respite care visit, staff friendly and supportive, physical site attractive and well maintained. All parts of building clean and well decorated, food well presented and good choice. In my view well managed and organised.

Mum moved into Bourne Wood Manor Care Home following a hospital stay, feeling fragile and in recovery.
The home made her welcome with the staff going out of their way to welcome her and ensure she settled in comfortably.
As usual, there were teething problems but these were dealt with efficiently
and supportively.
Since then Mum has by and large settled in well with her care being well provided for. All the staff have a good manner and the residents treated it like a big family.

An excellent care home in a great location where all of the staff are so kind, understanding, patient and friendly. The facilities for both residents and visitors are first-class. Individual bedrooms are a good size and comfortable.
My mother's only negative comments are that the evening meal is served
to early, at 5:00 pm, and that there are no early evening activities to occupy or entertain residents.

The staff seemed dedicated to their assignments and happy to be carrying them out. They showed genuine concern for the people they were caring for, who were suffering from the various disabilities that age and infirmity bring. Nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel as fellow humans.

I recently spent my 3rd respite stay in Bourne Wood Manor. As previously, the care staff and facilities were excellent. I was made to feel welcome, and it was good to see familiar faces. The food was excellent, and there was always someone on hand to assist when needed. I enjoyed walking around the
gardens, albeit slowly, and admiring the lovely planting and flowers in full bloom at this time of year.

Overall, Bourne Wood Manor Care Home is "excellent", in my opinion. There is a caveat in that I have no experience of any other care home.
Rating for value for money is lower since there is no comparative information on company profit or cash flow.

My father came to Bourne Wood Manor Care Home at short notice for two weeks for respite care. Staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming, taking special care to ensure he settled, even for such a short period. The attention to detail was really good - for example it helped dad to settle to
find his name on the door of his room. Dad's room was sunny and comfortable. Catering was of a high standard, and we enjoyed several meals together.

My wife has been at Bourne Wood since December 2022. She is suffering with dementia related memory loss and diabetes. The Bourne Wood staff took immediate care of her medication and her health has improved markedly and she has put weight on again (she was very thin as we could not control her diabetes
properly). Because she doesn't understand where she is and is physically active the Bourne Wood staff have adapted some of their ways of work to make things better for her. All of the staff are attentive to all of the residents' needs and the environment is as near home as it is possible to be. My wife seems to have settled in and is happy.

I studied at Godalming College, where I completed A-levels in Sociology and Hospitality. Through my studies, I developed strong customer service skills and consistently achieved high targets. My educational background has given me a solid foundation in understanding people and meeting their needs effectively.


I started working in the care sector due to my personal experience of helping my family find care for my grandparents.
