Very friendly staff who go over and beyond when it comes to keeping their residents happy and safe. They have thought of so many ways to keep their residents in touch with their families during the pandemic, including videocalls, videos of everyone so their relatives could see they are well. They are

I would like to thank the wonderful staff at Oak Manor for the high levels of professional care and consideration they show to all residents, nothing is too much trouble and the care and support my dad receives is outstanding. In the current difficult situation when relatives are not allowed to visit
care homes, I have total confidence in the way the home is managed and know that everyone is working hard to ensure the safety of residents is a priority. More than ever, balancing this with meeting the varied needs of residents, keeping everyone happy and in their daily routines takes a lot of skill and dedication. We moved our dear mum to Oak Manor in 2018. She had been in a previous care establishment but her needs were gradually changing due to her illness. Mum has Alzheimer's disease and Oak Manor was able to provide the care and support she needed.
This home is purpose-built which provides outstanding
facilities for all its residents. There is a unit specifically for residents who are suffering from Dementia which is on the ground level and has easy access to a lovely garden.
The home is lead by a fantastic management team that ensure that the home is run smoothly and efficiently, whilst ensuring that every resident is given individual care and support depending on their needs. All staff work well together and are a fantastic hardworking team that also helps and supports resident's families.
Over the last few months, there have been some fantastic changes that have benefited all residents. There are even more daily activities and events taking place and improvements inside and outside areas.

From the moment we visited this home as a potential option for my mother, we were impressed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, it was spotlessly clean and there was a real buzz of activity. The facilities are excellent and the programme of events and activities are brilliant. Since my mother has
arrived, we have found the staff to be very caring and respectful. They create a very happy atmosphere, and my Mum has settled in very quickly. She has benefited from the socialisation and personal care that is provided. She says the food is excellent and she enjoys sharing her mealtimes with others again. The single most important benefit that Oak Manor has for my Mum, is that it is faithbased and she can access the services and chaplaincy that is available. We are extremely grateful that our Mum, Grandma and Great Grandma are safe and closer to us and this is especially important at this present time. A huge thank you to all the staff at Oak Manor.

A lovely care home, all of the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. My mum has now been there since November 2018 and settled almost immediately. The home is very modern and always clean, especially her room. There are many activities if anyone wishes to join in. Overall, it is of great comfort
that when I leave Mum, I have no worries. At the present time, with no visiting due to the coronavirus, we are able to keep updated with videos through social media which is a great help. All of the team under the circumstances are brilliant and well-led by the manager.

My mother has been a resident for nearly 18-months. It was a big decision moving her from South Wales to be closer to us. It was the right decision. Oak Manor has proved to be a great place. Although suffering from dementia, Mum has been very happy there. We have found all staff to be very dedicated
and caring. It’s put our minds at ease that she is well looked after.

When my friend came to you she was very depressed and confused although not perfect she is now much better. Her tidiness is still not good but then it never was! I think it is good for her to have company and for her to have someone to keep an eye on her personal hygiene.

My mum was moved to this complex when it opened and I have nothing but high praise for its staff and facilities. Mum is now 90 and we had a lovely get together with all the residents and family, she has never been happier and as I live on the other side of Bradford/Leeds, this is a comfort to me as
I have now retired and find the travel harder. Her granddaughter lives nearby and can visit much more than I can.
Every time I arrive, I am always greeted with a smile and offers of tea from the staff, they are so dedicated to caring it's nice to see.
Mum always has something to occupy herself and if she wishes, can just rest in her room.
The last visit it was the music room and loved it, she also enjoys sewing and crafts.

The care my mum received was second to none. Nothing is too much trouble. All the staff were very kind and really cared for all the residents.
My mum loved every moment of her stay and at the end, there was always someone to hold her hand.

In July of this year, I applied to be a volunteer and was accepted. I live close by and am a pensioner. I love visiting at least once a week and hopefully to build up to more. I have enjoyed my visits and have come to know the residents and staff (and they me). My previous work has included working
in retirement homes and I was overjoyed to see how wonderfully this care home is managed. I hope to be visiting a long time.

The first time I stepped into Oak Manor I was taken aback, bright (real) flowers in the entrance hall, staff were very welcoming, clients bedrooms amazing, dining room lovely, table setting lovely. I said to a member of staff, it's like a hotel. My neighbour is happy, with staff being so pleasant the
atmosphere is quite uplifting. I know, I've been in other care homes.

Mum moved into Oak Manor at the beginning of December and has been made to feel very welcome. The staff are very warm and friendly and always have time to talk.
It seems to be a very caring and happy environment and I'm sure that mum will settle in very well.

What a wonderful welcoming atmosphere Oak Manor Care Home provides. All management, staff and carers never fail to greet you with a cheerful smile and the environment is light and bright, spacious, decorative and spotlessly clean everywhere. The family feel our mother is so very fortunate to be living
there. Her needs are met appropriately, caringly and kindly, relieving us of any worries that inevitably develop with a 97 year old parent.
I would like to particularly comment upon the Christmas period. Oak Manor was so beautifully decorated both inside and out. Everywhere oozed with sparkle, brightness and festive cheer, including the staff who instilled the Christmas spirit with enthusiasm among everyone. Choirs, carol singers, school children were all a part of spreading Christmas cheer in the home. Marvellous! Upon asking our mother if she had enjoyed Christmas, she replied, “Oh yes, it has been really lovely.” What more can we say?!

My mother-in-law has had the most excellent care at Oak Manor. The staff are always so cheerful and welcoming. The care home has a personalised approach that responds to its residents in a highly individual way. Enrichment activities are excellent. The care home 'birthday party' was an absolute highlight,
with residents, staff and family members dancing, laughing and having fun. A real family atmosphere!
