Montpellier Manor

The carers and support staff are lovely with my mum. Giving the care and attention she requires. The rooms ate a good size and Mum is lucky to have a patio which she uses on sunny days. There's always plenty of menu options and will do special orders as and when required. It's only a pity the lockdown has caused all the visiting restrictions, but things are now improving slowly.

On arriving from the hospital the staff welcomed me. They were patient, kind, compassionate and understanding. During my time with you, I found all staff on all levels were caring people. I give a 5-star rating.

Further to this, my mother was complete against 'being put into a care home' though having decided that she could not care for herself, she conceded and has been delighted with the care she has received.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff in this current climate for the care, their resolve and dedication, turning up day after day to care for my wife and all the residents. I will always hold them all dear to my heart. Thank you and God Bless you all from myself and all the family.

The manager of the home went out of her way to offer respite for my mother-in-law when we needed it most at the start of the Coronavirus lockdown. She has been a previous resident of this wonderful home and we are so pleased that she is safe and very well cared for.

I would just like to thank the Manager as I needed to get my mam into the home for respite at very short notice. My request was dealt with in a very responsive and quick way. I was so relieved to get mam a bed in the middle of all the chaos of Coronavirus. I cannot thank the Manager enough for looking after my mam and would highly recommend.

My mother was made very comfortable and was well looked after in very nice surroundings.

I stayed at Montpellier Manor for 1 week for respite care. The home is fabulous, lovely rooms, the staff are caring and I felt like I was on holiday. I did not take part in any activities so I cannot comment on those. I was not entirely happy with the food, but this was my fault as I made the wrong choices and did not tell anyone that I wanted something else. I have already booked up for September.

This was her fourth visit, and we're more than happy for her to return again.

My aunt stayed for a week's respite care. Her stay was excellent. She was very happy with everything but the food, which she said was cold. Staff were very friendly and we were so impressed that she is booking in for a stay later in the year.

The experience was extremely positive, due to staff, support, ambience, activities and contact with other people in similar situations and would be happy to go again.

I have been surprised and pleased by how well my mother-in-law has been since she moved into Montpellier Manor. She has been treated with dignity and respect since she moved in in November 2019, but the care and companionship of staff and residents has improved her quality of life beyond all my expectations - I cannot praise the staff enough. As a visitor, I feel welcome and am never treated with anything other than complete respect and friendliness. I could not have imagined a better home for my mother-in-law at this stage in her life.

Montpellier Manor, I found to be first-class, having worked in most care homes in the area as a flooring expert, this home must be one of the best and in a great location with good parking and easy access.

Cannot speak highly enough of the care provided to my mother and the support given to me by all the staff and management.

If I could, I would give them so much more than 10 out of 10.

Mum has been a resident for 15 months and we are so grateful she got to live in Montpellier Manor. Mum became terminally ill very quickly and the staff have all been wonderful, their care has been very compassionate and nothing was too much trouble for them. Not only have they looked after mum so well, they have supported the family through this difficult time too. A massive thank you to MHA for creative such caring homes.

My father has dementia and moved into Montpellier Manor last month. He has a spacious ensuite room and really enjoys the food and variety of activities (including weekly music therapy). He also enjoys meeting residents from different floors in the Garden Cafe area, which provides a lovely space for residents and their visitors to relax and socialise. He is looking forward to using and helping with the beautiful gardens in the Spring. All the staff are kind and patient with him. The chaplaincy is a great asset to the home and has played a big part in helping us both feel welcome. We visited several other homes before choosing this one which, in my opinion, is exceptionally good.

Apart from the first week, when we could not access the home due to the norovirus, everything as been excellent. The staff are absolutely fantastic, hardworking and very caring, nothing is too much trouble. They deserve much more credit than they get.

My mother was in the care home for just a month before she died in December. During her time there she was treated with care, dignity and respect. They cared for her until the end in a respectful and professional manner, always respecting her needs. Staff were professional and caring towards family members also.

The facilities are very good. The home is always kept very clean and tidy. The staff are helpful and friendly and a lot of thought has gone into individual care. The staff at the home take individual needs very seriously. The entertainment each day is fun and social. The meals are good variety and excellent quality.
