Montpellier Manor

My mum was happy and seemed relaxed and very well cared for by the staff. Mum is fiercely independent with her dementia and loves to be outdoors. The staff respected this, took her out and were kind, caring and compassionate with her. She looked much better for her stay and quickly transitioned back into her home with no anxiety which indicates how well the staff cared for her physical and mental wellbeing. Delighted with how happy she was.

I have used the words I heard my Mum say as her respite visit will have gone from her memory, but her feelings of happiness will still be with her. Thank you Montepellier.

This was the first time my mum has had to experience residential care. She and I were made to feel welcome, comfortable and confident with every aspect of our experience at Montpellier Manor. From the setting, the rooms, the staff, the attention to detail in all areas we were extremely impressed. The management team, the kitchen team, the carers all work together to ensure every point of my mum's stay was personal to her. I couldn't be more grateful and confident to the home and team and would fully recommend for other loved ones. We will be using this home again.

Monthly meetings with the manager are greatly appreciated. Menus provide frequent comment - some food is very appealing, some not and it is distressing to see so much food binned, considering the high fees we pay.

The review was held in a separate office which allowed us to discuss things openly. The discussion was very detailed and professional. The high level of care and concern for my mother was apparent. I have no concerns for her care at Montpellier Manor. The cleanliness is excellent throughout the building.

The standard of care given to my mother is excellent. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. They are very approachable, friendly and caring. The home itself is fabulous and more like a hotel than a residential home. I feel my mother is in a 'good' place and in good capable hands.

The potential woes associated with relocating any loved one into care is daunting. This was quickly removed by the manner the manager and staff run and operate Montpellier Manor as decorated bricks and mortar is fantastic but it would be nothing without its amazing staff and the warm, caring atmosphere they create whilst looking after those people we love.

Sadly my mother passed away, but we were blessed to be part of such a loving and inspirational home.

He was extremely happy and well looked after. Unfortunately, my brother was very will and in and out of hospital from Jan 19 to Apr 19. The end result was for him to transfer to a home which provided nursing. During this difficult period, the support provided by Montpellier Manor was excellent. Our experience with this home has been a very happy one.

I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Montpellier Manor in Middlesbrough for the way they treated my father whilst he stayed in the home. I cannot praise the home enough for the care provided and the facilities. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone. We viewed many homes and Montpellier Manor by far was the best and in fact, the only one that did not feel like a residential home, but more like a five-star hotel.

My mother was a resident in Montpellier from July 2018 to her death in on March 8th. The care she got was superb, staff were very friendly and she was treated with dignity. The home was very clean and well maintained. The only thing that annoyed Mother was dinner time being 5pm - too early. The chaplain was so very kind to my mother, in fact the staff were kind, chatty and friendly.

My mother was extremley nervous/frightened before coming for a week's respite. Walking in on the first day, you would have thought she was being led to the gallows. However, when we came to collect her, she was like a cheery school girl, chirpy and happy having totally enjoyed her stay. She loves the staff and the fun, caring atmosphere. All the residents were happy which she found marvellous. All her fears have now left her and she is planning regular stays, not to give us respite but just because she loved it.

My mum has said that she has no regrets whatsoever about giving up her home to live at Montpellier Manor. She has a lovely room and feels well cared for and looked after. For me, it gives me peace of mind to know that she is safe and well looked after 24 hours per day. Thank you to each and everyone at Montpellier Manor.

The care, attention and affection shown to my wife during her respite stays have been impressive and effective.

Lovely surroundings and caring staff.

So pleased to be able to get Mum in Law into Montpellier as some of the loveliest, cleanest and well-appointed care homes we have visited. Although her care was a relatively short time she did start to settle and make friends with residents and staff. Felt warm, comfortable and safe. After a very short illness she, unfortunately, passed away as very, very poorly but the home and staff were excellent. The chaplain provided support and when asked, the home provided a lovely buffet after the funeral.

My Mum moved into Montepellier Manor last August after a stressful time looking after her in her own home. The staff were amazing supporting both her and us to help her settle in. Nothing has ever been to much trouble. They helped me find peace and quality time with my Mum something I had lost. Sadly after a stroke this month, where the staff again acted so quickly to get her to the hospital and stayed with her until I arrived, she now has to leave the home to go into a nursing home. I will miss them all.

A big thank you to all for being so professional, kind, caring and consistently excellent.

I would like to recognise the night staff at Montpellier Manor.

My mother in law doesn’t sleep very well and is quite agitated more so on a night than during the day.

The night staff are absolutely brilliant. They are so caring and comforting to my mother, she really feels safe and secure. At times she can be quite needy, but they never tire of reassuring her and getting her a late night snack if she wants it. I really believe that these ladies love my mother in law because she is treated like their own relative.

The confidence and reassurance that we have in her care is second to none. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being such lovely carers.
