I have nothing but praise for Montpellier Manor.
The fabric and facilities are exceptional as one would expect of a new build but the ethos of care, friendliness and indeed love goes beyond bricks and mortar and permeates the establishment from top to bottom.
The care, attention and affection shown
to my wife during her respite stays have been impressive and effective.

So pleased to be able to get Mum in Law into Montpellier as some of the loveliest, cleanest and well-appointed care homes we have visited. Although her care was a relatively short time she did start to settle and make friends with residents and staff. Felt warm, comfortable and safe. After a very short
illness she, unfortunately, passed away as very, very poorly but the home and staff were excellent. The chaplain provided support and when asked, the home provided a lovely buffet after the funeral.

My Mum moved into Montepellier Manor last August after a stressful time looking after her in her own home. The staff were amazing supporting both her and us to help her settle in. Nothing has ever been to much trouble. They helped me find peace and quality time with my Mum something I had lost.
Sadly after a stroke this month, where the staff again acted so quickly to get her to the hospital and stayed with her until I arrived, she now has to leave the home to go into a nursing home. I will miss them all.

The Unseen Heroes.


I would like to recognise the night staff at Montpellier Manor.


My mother in law doesn’t sleep very well and is quite agitated more so on a night than during the day.


The night staff are absolutely brilliant. They are so caring and comforting to my mother, she really feels

safe and secure. At times she can be quite needy, but they never tire of reassuring her and getting her a late night snack if she wants it. I really believe that these ladies love my mother in law because she is treated like their own relative.


The confidence and reassurance that we have in her care is second to none. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being such lovely carers.

My mother moved into Montpellier Manor in May. She was looked after with love, care and devotion. Nothing was too much trouble even when the family visited we were welcomed with love and always felt at home ourselves. Mum became very poorly and sadly passed away in July but we know she was cared for
with the utmost dignity, almost as if she was their own Mum. The Manager and staff are wonderful, the whole place is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The rooms are bright, modern and comfortable. I would recommend this home to anybody looking to place a loved one to be cared for as you would yourself.

A beautiful set up akin to a 5 star hotel.
The main drawback is access to the building from the car park. The distance from the car park to get to the main door will be problematical for the residents esp in winter. Gaining access into the building and leaving can be a problem if you can't find anybody
to let you out.

My mother came in to Montpellier Manor for respite care following time in hospital, she was treated with dignity and great care. The manager was very encouraging as this was Mam's first time visiting a care home and we were very apprehensive to how it would work out but she and her team of excellent
carers ensured Mam settled in very well. They followed Mam's normal daily routine allowing her to feel at ease. We will definitely return.

The home is absolutely fabulous, brand new, with wonderful bedrooms and communal facilities. It provides a very relaxing environment in which to spend time whether inside the building or in the lovely garden area.
The activities on offer were a little limited during my father's stay, as there were
only a few residents at that time. This should improve in quantity and variety as numbers grow. The home would also benefit from having a member of staff stationed in the coffee bar area, as access for visitors and returning residents can be frustrating, particularly during the evenings/weekends.
Staff were friendly and keen to provide a positive experience for residents.
I was particularly impressed with the manager who was extremely helpful and professional and more than happy to go the extra mile to communicate with residents and with family members.
My father had an excellent time at the Manor and would be very happy to return should he require respite in the future.

My mum needed respite for a few weeks and very tentatively we took her to Montpellier. We were soon at ease with the warm welcome she was given. The staff soon realised how important her daily walk was to her so made sure she had a lovely stroll every day. Her special diet needs were no trouble to the
chef who would check it was OK. As beautiful as the home is it is a secondary bonus to the staff, so welcoming, happy and caring. Lots to do there too, mum painted, did arts and crafts etc. She was kept interested and encouraged to be as independent as she could be by helping the carers. She had the help of the Chaplin that visits with emotional support again important to mum. All of us including all my aunties, uncles, cousins, mum's friends were made very welcome on visits getting together with mum in the beautiful garden or coffee lounge for a catch-up. Great place all our worries of mum going into a home disappeared we would just like to thank all the staff for your help and care.

A beautiful first impression when I initially visited my grandmother.
The home manager along with my grandmother's named carer introduced themselves to me and updated me on my grandmother's progress to date within the home.
Facilities within her room were lovely, and the activities available on
a daily basis were made clear in a weekly bulletin and were all catered for dementia patients.
