Mum has settled very well and enjoys her life at Woodlands Lodge. Everyone is very caring and it is run to a very high standard and everyone is approachable. It is the activities that make it outstanding in our view. It's just lovely to hear Mum say 'you will never guess what I did today'. How brilliant is that!

We were so pleased that Woodlands Lodge was able to offer our mother a room on the ground floor facing the garden.

She has settled in very well. The staff are very friendly and caring. We as a family are happy with the care she is receiving.

We were delighted to be offered a ground floor garden facing room so soon after looking around Woodlands Lodge. Mum has settled in very well and all the staff without exception are kind and caring. As mum is nearly 102 we do not expect her to partake in many activities.

Reply from Maxine Nichol, Home Manager at Woodlands Lodge Care Home

It is always pleasing to hear when a resident has settled and made Woodlands their new home. I will, of course, pass on to care staff these positive comments

We cannot fault Woodlands Lodge in any way.
The improvement in my aunt's condition and morale after 8 weeks respite care has been incredible.

No surprise then that she has decided to make Woodlands Lodge her permanent home.

We admitted our elderly aunt in a very poor state.
With the love and care at Woodlands Lodge, she has put weight on and now looks her old self.

Can't thank the staff enough.

It is a pleasure to care for your aunt here at Woodlands Lodge, she is an adorable lady who has made friends with everyone and joins in all the activities that take place. I first attended an "open" coffee morning to look for long term care for my mother-in-law. She is difficult to please and was delighted at her reaction on the day.
She loved it, at that time she was still living at home.

When her (private) carers arrived later that day, she told her how lovely Woodlands is. She is now a full-time resident, the family are so relieved she is now receiving 24/7 care. The staff are absolutely dedicated and we couldn't wish for better care.

The staff at Woodlands Lodge provide a high standard of compassionate care to my mum who has settled well into the care home environment whilst living with dementia.
They have strong relationships with all the local health professionals and are very responsive and caring in the few emergency situations we have had with mum falling.

The facilities are first class, modern and spotlessly clean. The standard of food and catering is very good.

Reply from Maxine Nichol, Home Manager at Woodlands Lodge Care Home
Thank you John for these positive comments. We are aware that it can take some time to settle within a new environment and happily mum appears very settled and happy in her new home.

I will pass comments on to staff and chefs will be pleased to hear your comments regards the meals provided.

My mother-in-law was admitted to hospital following a fall at home. We made the decision to move her to Woodlands Lodge because we felt she would have a better chance of rehabilitation there. From the outset, the staff were positive and encouraging and I do believe they would have succeeded in getting her back on her feet. Unfortunately, her health deteriorated and she died within two weeks. The staff, clinical and non-clinical were wonderful to her and to us. They liaised appropriately with the Gp and the district nurses to ensure that she was settled and pain-free.

They treated her with respect, dignity and gentleness during her last days and supported us as a family.

Thank You.
