Woodlands Lodge Care Home

All staff extremely kind and always helpful. I have been happy here in the 9 weeks I was here (but as always I am one of the people who want to go home) but all staff and patients have been told I will visit soon and often.

Woodlands was impeccably clean. The staff were excellent. Very kind and caring nothing too much trouble. The rooms were very large, modern, light and airy. Excellent en-suite wet room. The quality and presentation of the meals were of an extremely high standard. The activities programme was very extensive and the staff very good at encouraging participation. My mum really enjoyed her stay there.

My husband has been well cared for. The staff are very caring, friendly and helpful. I felt I could leave him there for respite and go away and not worry that he was not being looked after with care and compassion.

My Mum in Law has been resident since February 2018. A few teething problems at first due to establishment being so new. Now I couldn't recommend more, the place is spotless. Staff are fantastic. The entertainment/social element is so good. The diary is full! Mum has made so many good friends. A big thank you to all at Woodlands Lodge.

My grandma has really enjoyed her stay. All staff have been fabulous, very caring and attentive. The activities have been excellent and grandma has enjoyed all the food. The bedrooms are beautiful and bright and extremely clean. All staff have been very welcoming to visitors. Thank you for making my grandma's stay so easy for our family.

Questions/concerns are always answered and addressed.

Woodlands Lodge feels more like an assisted living establishment than a care home. The building is bright and exceptionally clean it offers easy access to dining room, garden etc for residents with compromised mobility. The staff were courteous and kind and I liked the fact that visitors could be taken to a private comfortable room where we were offered tea and cake. I would recommend theWoodlands Lodge to anyone making the transition from their own home to a more secure and caring place to live.

Extremely impressed with every aspect of my visit. Staff were friendly and helpful, the building was clean and really nice atmosphere about the place.

Very friendly and approachable both management and staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Very accommodating especially at short notice. Service users treated with dignity and all needs met taking into account likes/dislikes. It means a lot to know my father is safe and well cared for while I am away. This is a high quality all round service.

Generally everything fine, prompt support when needed, friendly staff. The food, although I'm sure appreciated by most residents is not really to my taste. Homemade soup very good but I miss REAL bread not cheap sliced. Have made suggestions to the chef but not really acted upon. Same side dishes every day, very salty crisps and coleslaw. Diabetic puddings or fruit (have been buying my own) would be appreciated. The timing of food difficult, breakfast 8.30-9.00, lunch 12 noon, evening meal 4.30-5. My time's breakfast 9.30, lunch 1.30 and evening meal 7-7.30.

Clean and comfortable environment. Friendly and caring nursing staff. Flexible visiting times. In-house kitchen using fresh produce.

Beautiful brand new facility but more importantly caring and dedicated staff.

From the moment I entered the home I just knew it was correct with all that was written about it. The Manager and every one of her staff all work together and make it a lovely place to relax in and get you on your feet again. Cheerful and happy and a lovely smile on their faces. I don't think you could get anywhere better, wherever you look. Thanks for the memories (as Bob Hope would say). God bless you all.
