I attended the charity coffee morning and received a warm welcome from the staff and residents. I was very impressed with the facilities and the way everyone was treated as individuals, nothing was too much trouble. I know that when the time comes for me to look for a home this is where I would want to live.
Thank you for coming to join us at our coffee morning, and taking the time to share your wonderful impressions. We are absolutely delighted to hear about your experience. You words are humbling and we are honored that you would consider us for a future home should the time come. I will share your feedback with our team.
We would like to thank all the staff for their loving care for both aunts.
Thank you for your review, and taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted that your aunts were well cared for and had such a positive experience. I will pass on your thanks to our staff team.
Mum loves living at Hartfield House Care Home. She feels at home. The carers are sensitive and kind. They are endlessly patient they treat Mum with dignity and respect. Any concerns I express are dealt with promptly and efficiently by the management. I observe the staff being respectful and sensitive to all the residents and visitors. The atmosphere is pleasant and Mum loves the music and the dancing. She loves the food too! Thank you.
We are delighted that your mum enjoys living with us at Hartfield House, and is at home. Such positive feedback that I will be sure to share with our team. It is fantastic to get positive feedback about so many different areas. We certainly also enjoy the music and dancing!
I visited a very close friend who is currently receiving respite care at Hartfield House Care Home. There was a warm professional welcome from a staff member and she organised a taxi for me for later in the day. Lunch was good, hot and tasty. The facilities are excellent and, without exception, all the staff I met were polite, kind and happy to help in any way. They know everyone's name and speak politely to the residents. My friend is receiving excellent care and both of us would recommend this spotlessly clean home to anyone requiring care.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your visit, and that your friend is also enjoying her stay with us. We are really proud of our home and it is great to read such feedback, which I will share with our team.
I feel at home and have since arriving at New Year.

Hartfield House Care Home is absolutely amazing! It’s nothing but a first class care home with wonderful people working there. The manager is outstanding and has transitioned my mother from the community into the care home with love and care. Also the staff member who’s often on the front desk is amazing and nothing is ever too much trouble. It’s so very sad when a loved one has Alzheimer’s but this care home is faultless!
The care and well-being of every resident is our number one priority and it is rewarding to have such positive feedback. Thank you...
Felt very happy and well looked after. The food and attendance of staff were very good and the public rooms inviting. My bedroom when occupied and attention to detail very good, particularly over night. This is my second visit to receive care as lonely at home when my daughter goes on holiday.
Thank you for taking the time to review Hartfield House and we are delighted you chose to stay with us again. It's wonderful that you felt very happy and well looked after. We are extremely proud of our dedicated staff and will be sure to pass on your kind words.
As a new resident, I have been made to feel very welcomed by everybody and have a lovely room and overlooks the garden. The management team are approachable and supportive and have made sure I am comfortable and relaxed in my new surroundings. The care and support from the staff has been kind and friendly and they go the extra mile to make sure that I am well cared for and take the time out for a chat. I have enjoyed the activities and being able to get together with other residents has helped me make new friends. The food has been lovely and the cakes are delicious!
Thank you for your amazing comments and such high praise for the team. We work hard to exceed all expectations and the team will be thrilled to receive this feedback. When you walk into Hartfield House you are immediately welcomed into a bright friendly environment. It is more like a boutique hotel than a care home. Residents congregate in the bistro area where activities are organised. My father enjoyed doing jigsaws with the other residents I always looked forward to visiting, joining in with tea and delicious cake. The staff are very helpful and attentive. I was so comforted that my father passed away peacefully in their care.
Thank you for your amazing comments and such high praise for the team, especially under such difficult circumstances. It was our pleasure to have been entrusted with the care of your father, he is missed by all of the team here at Hartfield House.
I was welcomed to this care home after having spent a lot of time on my own in my home where my daughter had become my carer. I was given a very nice room but it was a bit of a long way from where things take place, however, I was moved to another room which was great. I am very happy in this care home - everyone is very friendly, the food is great and I am being very well looked after.
I will be sure to pass on your wonderful comments to the wider team as I know they will be extremely grateful!
I got a very good feeling as I walked in the door all the staff were professional and welcoming. I was worried about getting my mum to accept care as she was adamant that she wanted no care. She has dementia. I brought her in and she has not asked to go home and is very happy at Hartfield House Care Home. I am surprised and delighted by that. I cannot say how pleased I am to have found this home having seen so many which are not good.
Thank you so much for your glowing review. We were delighted that your mum has settled in at Hartfield House and we thoroughly enjoy spending time with her. I'll ensure I share the wonderful comments with the rest of the team. They will be delighted!
Mum arrived in July and, from the first day, has been met with friendly, helpful, caring and respectful staff. Everyone knows Mum (and all the residents). The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, with the "Bistro" a central focus. Mum's room is spacious and comfortable, with doors opening onto a little terrace - perfect in the summer. We are so happy that Mum is being so well cared for.
Thank you for your incredible comments. We work hard to exceed all expectations, and the team will be thrilled to receive this feedback. The care and well-being of every resident are our number one priority, and it is rewarding to have such positive feedback.
My Family and I have been looking after my Aunt for many years, and it was a difficult decision to suggest to her that she consider respite care. We had looked at several care homes in her area, and Hartfield House was definitely the best for her in every way. So, in November my Aunt was warmly welcomed by the team into the most beautiful courtyard room at Hartfield House. We feel that she settled in as quickly as she has because of the attention and compassion shown to her by everyone at the home. The Home Manager always meets us on our visits and regularly spends time chatting with my aunt, who felt so settled that she asked to stay longer, particularly as she enjoys her weekly visits to the hairdressing salon and is now looking forward to all the Christmas arrangements. Hartfield House is beautiful with superb facilities, but it is the care and consideration shown to her that makes it feel like a real home to my aunt. Thank you to the manager and your team for everything.
Thank you for your amazing comments and such high praise for the team. It's wonderful that you have taken the time to acknowledge the attention and compassion shown to your aunt by everyone at Hartfield House. It's something everyone at Porthaven takes pride in.
We work hard to exceed all expectations and the team will be thrilled to receive this feedback.
This is my opinion. The finest place for me to live in since January 15th 2022. This home has every facility for continue good health and happiness. This also includes comfortable sleeping facilities in a beautiful setting looking through my window daily, excellent. Food is provided. Beautiful gardens in which safely i can "work" at leisure. This is a pleasure when family and friends are welcomed by wonderful, hardworking, patient staff.

Hartfield House is a lovely, cosy home which doesn't feel like a care home. Everyone seems very caring and concerned and genuinely worried about the residents.
What wonderful praise - thank you so much! I will be sure to share your feedback with the team; they will be delighted.
Hartfield House was one of two recommended by friends on the basis of a lot of experience by several individuals and families. I visited them both and immediately was sure Hartfield House was the right choice for us, even though I had not seen more than a fraction of the facilities there by that time. The welcome and evident competence and sympathetic understanding of the manager was completely reassuring, and typical of what I learned to expect from all the care staff I subsequently met.
Sadly, my wife was only able to benefit from the care provided at Hartfield House for a short time. But in that time I could easily make a sound judgement of the home and its facilities, having had considerable top quality care support for my wife at home over a long time.
Thank you.
Thank you for your wonderful review and such lovely comments, especially under such difficult circumstances. It was our pleasure to have been entrusted with the care of your wife during the latter stage of her life, she is missed by all of the team here at Hartfield House. I will ensure your...
I am writing to say an enormous thank you to you and all your team for the superb care you have given my wife over the last three and a half years. I distinctly remember the first day in January 2019 when I moved her into Hartfield and she was enveloped by a team who made sure she felt welcomed, safe and secure. The inevitable deterioration in her condition as the early-onset Alzheimer’s took its toll was managed and dealt with by the team with genuine concern and care for her well-being. I cannot recall any point in the time she was at Hartfield, when I ever had any concern that she was getting anything but the best looking after. When it came to her final few days, again all the support and attention that she was given was unbelievable. The warmth and depth of feeling was visible on all the team's faces. I cannot express in words what will this has meant to me. You are a group of amazing people – thank you!

I have been in Hartfield House Care Home for over 3 years and it is to me a home from home. I have nothing but praise for the management staff and dedicated team of workers who work tirelessly to provide the residents with excellent care. There is an extensive selection of facilities to enjoy, lots of activities, outings by minibus, exceptional food prepared by expert chefs with a variety of menu options to suit individual medications and requirements. I would highly recommend Hartfield House Care Home for respite or permanent care.
I will be sure to pass on your wonderful comments to the wider team as I know they will be extremely grateful!
Thank you again.
