Right from the initial phone call to enquire about respite care for mum I just knew we were talking to the right people. From start to finish mum's well being has been at the centre of everything - the organisation of care was so straightforward and everyone was so welcoming, kind & caring. We can't thank you enough for helping mum get her confidence back.

My wife is currently in Beechwood receiving respite care after spending a week in hospital following several falls. She is being cared for on the dementia floor. I cannot praise Beechwood enough. The care staff are wonderful - nothing is too much trouble for them. The activities are varied and of high quality run by a great team, which keep the residents stimulated. My wife has improved incredibly in the 2 weeks she has been there. The whole atmosphere is one of kindness, friendliness, professionalism and good humour. As I go in each afternoon I immediately feel uplifted. Well done Beechgrove!

Our relative's stay at Beechwood Grove, for the last six months of his life, was a happy experience because all the people who cared for him were fabulous and tried their hardest to make him feel comfortable and appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble. When I was visiting, most days, our relative always uttered something positive about his carers "He is a good man," "She is lovely!" He showed his appreciation "I love her/him"; they found what our relative liked, were able to converse with him, even when he lacked words. The staff kept us regularly informed, were kind to his visitors. We have nothing but praise for Beechwood. Thank you!

Beechwood Grove is excellent, providing a very homely environment for my elderly Aunt. You can see all the staff care, and you can feel it, by their interaction with residents, visitors and colleagues. From every angle within the Care Home there is a beautiful view of the South Downs, rooms are spacious and well-furnished and the variety and quality of food is excellent. Their activity programme is fantastic and my aunt has no reservations in either joining in, or sitting quietly among the group. Nothing is too much trouble and my Aunt is very well-cared for, and within one week is relaxed, comfortable and happy. And as family, we thank you, all of you.

I have just returned from a forum for family and friends of residents of Beechwood Grove, and never cease to be surprised how their wonderful staff, besides giving their residents, care and comfort, find "ever changeing" ways of making life interesting and fun. A short while ago I visited to find myself among preparations for a "photo shoot" the place was "humming" with activity, gentlemen looking "sauve" and ladies being "coiffed"" and delving into the "extras" box, full of silk scarves, bows, tiaras earings etc. The idea was to photo those who wished, to picture with them in a setting of work that they had undertaken for most of their lives..ie. Design, health service, music etc. I watched a lady resident in the Hairdressing Salon, deftly handleing a hair dryer & brush whilst being photoed, all great fun. This week its Tennis & Football. Surprisingly, well attended.

After an exploratory visit to Beechwood Grove because of failing mobility and severe back pain I decided to take a 4 week respite break. This was organised at very short notice, but the management were incredibly helpful and supportive, even providing a wheelchair taxi at the last minute to help with my admission. The home runs like one big extended family and the care is provided in a very kind yet professional manner. Moving away from home isn't easy, but the entire team have worked tirelessly to make me feel welcome and safe, and to offer support whenever I needed it.

Overall the care home offers everything I could want for mum. It's certainly within the top 3 care homes in the area, and while the other two are significantly larger, they lose the personalised, family feel that Beechwood Grove captures. There is very little staff turnover, which is essential for the memory floor and reflects how staff members are treated and acknowledged for their care and hard work ethics. Everyone is charming and welcoming to visitors, from the front reception, chefs, housekeepers, management and the staff directly involved in mum's care. The care home manager has a fun playful side but also listens well to any concerns that may arise or suggestions for improvements that could be considered. Again, unlike other care homes BG''schedule of daily activities is varied and all residents are encouraged to participate. BG is more similar to a 5* hotel, and does not have the pungent smells so ofter associated with care homes. I'm happy to recommend.

My mother has received really excellent care and support since she arrived in Beechwood Grove in March, and particularly during her recent illness. The kindness of the staff and their timely medical interventions have made all the difference to her ongoing health and recovery. Mum says 'I feel cared for and safe here', and that means the world to us as a family. Thank you Beechwood Grove.

My family and I am very happy with the level of care my father receives in the dementia floor at Beechwood Grove. Without exception, all staff are kind and considerate, cheerful with a good sense of humour. The home feels buzzy and friendly. The communication, both internally within the home and to the relevant family members, is also excellent. We feel our loved family member is in good hands. The meals are thoughtful and beautifully prepared. We feel very lucky that our father is at Beechwood Grove.

Dad has been a resident on the Nursing Floor at Beechwood Grove since December 2024. Sadly he is now unable to take part in all the lovely activities but he is very well cared for by all the wonderful staff. From the moment you walk through the main entrance the receptionists, the Management, Admin team, Carers, Lifestyle Team, Maintenance staff and Cleaners are all very warm and welcoming. It is lovely to chat to the residents in the Bistro on arrival. My sister and I are really very happy with the care Dad receives and we are so glad we found this home and would highly recommend Beechwood Grove. Thank you to you all.

Mum, who lives with dementia, moved into Beechwood Grove in August 2025.
The home is unlike any other that we visited. It is more like a hotel than a care home. The decor and furnishings are very relaxing and welcoming.
The food is excellent, Mum has put on weight and as well as the 3 meals a day, The Bistro is always available with refreshments for residents and visitors alike.
The activities are second to none- not just a boring round of quizzes everyday, but baking, arts and crafts, musicians, dancers, people giving talks, the Beechwood Olympics was the noisiest event I have witnessed with residents joyfully winning medals for curling, darts, and basketball hoops. There are games and puzzles as well as word games played. Also quiet events like Knit and Natter.

What makes this place so special however, is the staff. No words can describe how great they all are, from housekeeping, activities, care, and admin. Nothing is too much trouble. I am so glad Mum is here.

From my initial contact and tour, I cannot fault every one of the staff I cam into contact with. Nothing was too much trouble and I knew my husband was in excellent care, which put my mind at rest after he had a bad fall and needed respite and nursing care after leaving hospital. Very grateful to everyone and would definitely recommend Beechwood Grove, and would not hesitate to use them again if necessary.

I took delivery of a mobility scooter recently, and the whole ethos of the care home itself. Help, support, and interest from every department. Maintenance helped confirm how to use it and enabled storage. The dining room and kitchen staff held back my delayed lunch. All other staff showed interest and encouragement. Just like a family which is so appreciated, when decisions have to be made, it instils confidence.

Walking into Beechwood Grove is like walking into a friends house, you are welcomed with a friendly greeting and a smile from everyone you meet regardless of their role in the home. Hot drinks and snacks are available if needed in a sociable meeting area. There are many activities planned for the residents to suit a wide variety of tastes and needs. The property is brilliantly maintained, regularly redecorated and the staff work tirelessly to keep everything spotless. The home has also adopted many green issues, like solar panels, recently. There are regular opportunities for both the residents and families and friends to attend meetings to find out what has happened and is planned for the future. Truly a great place where my mother is treated extremely well. Well done Beechwood Grove.

From the moment we contacted one staff member in particular at Beechwood Care Home, we knew it was the right place for Mum, who has Alzheimer's. The warmth, happiness, and genuine care from staff stood out immediately.
The move-in process was seamless, and the team was incredibly supportive during what could have been a very emotional day. Mum settled in quickly, formed lovely friendships, and takes part in all the amazing activities, including fun trips out. Seeing her smile in the regular social media updates brings us such joy.

The home is spotless, the food is excellent, and Mum always looks well cared for and happy - she even enjoys a G&T in the evenings! Alzheimer's is a cruel disease, but Mum now has quality of life, and we have peace of mind. Beechwood Care Home is exceptional, and we couldn't recommend it more.

I started my working journey 30 years ago in the hotel & restaurant industry, I mastered the art of fine dining and hospitality management.

After 10 years I decided on a change and moved into the private care sector, where I have stayed for the last 20 years. During this time, I have worked in a variety of roles and most recently as Head of Hospitality. I have the belief that every single employee plays a huge role in the success of the home, so I feel that team work is a priority.

I have gained an in-depth knowledge of care home management and hope to be able to bring my skills to complement the established and excellent team at Beechwood Grove Care Home.

My biggest accomplishment was leading a team to win the coveted National Association of Care Catering Award for Care Establishment of the Year.

My favourite activity in my spare time is making memories with my family. We enjoy playing board games, going out for walks and cooking together on the BBQ! I also like to raise funds for charities close to me. I love to hold dinner parties for friends and family and I have a passion for collecting vintage red wine!
