My aunty is in a lovely room with an attentive and experienced care team looking after her. The manager and staff always offer a smiley welcome and totally understood how difficult and upsetting it was for me when I finally moved my aunty into the home. Thanks to the manager for the reassuring chats.

I have been visiting my dear friend for the past three years, during very difficult times for all the staff and at all times I have been made very welcome, especially during the months that I was classed as an 'essential carer' and was never made to feel I was in the way or unwelcome. I have never had any doubts about the care that my friend receives and have been happy to give positive reports back to the family after each visit. Grosvenor Manor Care Centre is welcoming from the time I walk through the door and am always greeted with smiles and hello from everyone I meet and speak to. I would have no hesitation in recommending Grosvenor Manor Care Centre to anyone seeking a safe, caring and happy place to live and be cared for.

My mother spent the last 13 months of her life at Grosvenor Manor Care Centre after a stroke stopped her living independently. I count us as truly blessed to have found Grosvenor Manor. Caring is at the very centre of everything they do but also the staff work hard to ensure the residents are stimulated mentally and physically with a variety of activities available and it's up to each resident if they want to join in which means residents still feel in control of their lives.

The staff are polite, helpful and caring in their attitude towards relatives too. Thanks to their intensive care, building on the work done by physios they recommended, mum fought back to achieve mobility which meant a lot to her sense of independence. Sadly at 93, old age overcame her and her final weeks of care were exceptional. Rarely was she alone for long, anything she wanted the chefs would cook for her, the food is excellent, and in her own words she told me how very safe and cared for she felt there. What more can one ask.

My Mother was lucky enough to get a place at Grosvenor Manor Care Centre. This has been the best move for my Mother. She has improved so much, since being a resident. The staff are amazing, helpful and cheery. My Mother now has friends and is eating properly. Couldn't recommend Grosvenor Manor Care Centre enough. I wouldn't mind a stay there myself.

We contacted Grosvenor Manor as a matter of urgency following a crisis with Mum at her home.
From the beginning, they were incredibly helpful and supportive.
Mum has now been a resident for a few weeks and we as a family are more than happy with the care that she is receiving.
The home has a wonderful, comforting atmosphere as soon as you walk through the doors and Mum is settling in nicely.
This is due to all the amazing staff who have shown Mum such kindness, given her constant reassurance and been so patient with her whilst she adjusts to her new surroundings.

We are so grateful to all of them and so pleased that Mum is now happy and in the safest of hands.

I’ve been a resident here for approximately four years and have always been treated with dignity but also treated with real friendship and care. I’ve been encouraged to continue my interests and hobbies, like my painting. The well-being team have an active, busy program which we are all encouraged to attend, which is always full and offers something new and different every day. We do have a daily sparkle coffee morning every day which has given me a purpose, a reason to get dressed up and meet friends.
I’ve been made to feel quite important at times when asked to host the daily sparkle, create and hand painted our garden sign and make our 1st resident's 100th birthday card more recently.

I have also been asked every year on Burns Night to Toast the haggis linking to my family's Scottish roots, proudly wearing my mother’s 100-year-old ancient Campbell Sash and Clan badges. This makes me so proud, sentimental about my mother and happy.

Grosvenor Manor Care Centre was a great find for my wife and I, as we have been looking after her mum for the last 12 years at our own home. Mum has reached a point where she needs a higher level of care than we can manage for her, and we wanted to find a comfortable and high-quality care residence for her. Grosvenor Manor provides a real home-from-home environment with a high level of professional care.

My father-in-law came to Grosvenor Manor for a short stay and after a while, he settled so well that all his family decided it was the best place for him to live. He does suffer from dementia and at times he can be difficult to manage. The staff show so much patience and compassion and always do their best even when they are run off their feet. My mum was a resident at Grosvenor Manor for four years but sadly passed away in the wonderful care of Grosvenor Manor staff just before Christmas. The care, love and understanding my mum received from day one was a massive comfort to me. The pure affection and love given to her at tend of life were touching beyond belief and I will be forever grateful for all Grosvenor Manor staff, who go above and beyond for their family of residents - that is how it truly feels. Thank you and bless you all.

The home was recommended by a close friend in May 2022 when I needed respite for an older friend.
My initial impression was of a well-organised, caring staff who were person-orientated. I loved the daily sparkle and the vibrant atmosphere.
Sadly after a fall, my friend was admitted to hospital for a fracture. Although my friend remained in the hospital for 6 weeks, the home stayed in touch and supported throughout.
Sadly, my friend needed to move on to nursing care, when recovered. As a place could not be found at Grosvenor. My friend was discharged into another home nearby.
I felt that my friend's care was best suited back to Grosvenor and approached them to enquire about nursing care.
The manager was extremely helpful in understanding my situation and sought to find a solution for my friend to return to Grosvenor.

I am very pleased that my friend is back at Grosvenor and cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and support in the care of my friend.

At the end of October, my 98-year-old mother suffered a sudden and significant illness with little expectation of survival. She was rushed to the hospital but after a night in a corridor in A and E, she opted to return home to Grosvenor Manor.
The staff immediately implemented a programme to meet the demands of the illness, under the supervision of the "Hospital at Home" doctors and the District Nurse. She was on oxygen, unable to speak, had difficulty swallowing and was at times delirious. She received intensive and invasive treatment from the doctor, backed up by constant caring from the Grosvenor Manor staff and her life was in the balance for 3 long weeks.
Eventually, my mother surprised us all by responding to the treatment and she gradually regained her faculties. Now she is well on the way to recovery and the staff are adapting her care package once more.

We cannot thank everyone at Grosvenor Manor enough for their exemplary handling of this incident. In a crisis they were superb.
