Lovely place with excellent care from all staff. My father has been well looked after and the home is brilliant in responding to his changing needs. There is a great activities team who have provided a good range of activities in very difficult times.

After a hospital discharge my mum was placed here, staff are so caring and the communication has been outstanding. They have kept the communication open regards to her physical and mental health.
I was unsure of where my mum was being placed and all I can say is that "this home is fabulous".

Thank you for all that have done throughout this pandemic!

My mum was admitted into Grosvenor Manor last May after a stay in hospital, she has dementia. The care she receives is amazing and my mum is really happy there. We, as a family, totally trust all the staff looking after her, and can’t thank them enough,

My mum has been resident for circa 2 years now; initially in residential and latterly under nursing care. Throughout that time we have not had cause to be anything other than delighted with the quality and level of care that has been afforded to her by the Grosvenor Manor team. Aside from the facilities, (which are 1st rate by the way) it is the care and professionalism of the team that strikes home. Throughout her time at Grosvenor Manor my mum has been treated with respect and dignity, and crucially with genuine affection. It cannot be anybody's wish to see the people that they love most needing to transition into a care home environment, however once that becomes a necessary truth it is difficult to imagine an alternative that improves on Grosvenor Manor.

My mother has been a resident at Grosvenor Manor for just over a year now. The care has simply been outstanding during that time. With Coronavirus restrictions and requirements, the staff have been amazing. They have made every effort to keep the standards high and at the same time, kept the residents' spirits up by engaging, chatting, exercise and activities, helping with anything they can and much, much more. No one would have thought that care staff and residents would have had to endure such an awful time but Grosvenor Manor has excelled and saying they have gone the extra mile, really is an understatement. Thank you all.

My aunt has been a resident at Grosvenor Manor for almost three years now and I can honestly say that from the day she moved in, the quality and standard of loving care has been exceptional. Staff frequently go the extra mile to ensure her happiness, well being and dignity. The work, care and attention to detail for her 107th birthday last year (during lockdown) was amazing. They organised a fabulous party for her which was so lovely as relatives and friends were unable to visit due to the pandemic. The staff show nothing but kindness to both my aunt and me (as her next of kin). I have no hesitation in recommending Grosvenor Manor, it’s exceptionally well managed, the atmosphere is warm and friendly and all staff, reception, catering, caring and nursing are just lovely.

The staff at the care home are looking after my mum with great care and support. They have made Mum feel welcome and really looked after. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff treat my mum as part of the care home family. My mum has said they are all looking after her and she feels special in their care. I cannot fault Grosvenor Manor and highly recommend to others who have a relative needing care.

The quality of care provided by Grosvenor Manor is second to none. The care and consideration that they have shown towards my mum over this challenging period have been superb. They treat their residents as if they were their own. They have made the home as covid secure as possible, yet have maintained a quality of life for the residents throughout, with a host of activities and entertainment, all provided by the staff, to keep everyone going. They have responded to the undoubted impact on my mum's dementia from the covid restrictions, giving her a superb level of consideration and care, and have kept in touch and kept me fully informed at all times. They always have a smile and a chat when you drop something in for her. They have enabled safe visits within the bounds of what is practical and possible. I can't thank them enough. My mum could not be in better hands.

This is my ninth visit to see my Dad at Grosvenor Manor. On every occasion, I have been delighted by the kindness shown to both Dad and those of us visiting, and I’ve felt incredibly reassured and encouraged by the level of care my Dad is clearly receiving. Dad is so much healthier now than when he arrived, and the main thing is that he’s so happy; his happiness is my top priority, and I’d say that it’s Grosvenor Manor's top priority too. Residents’ genuine happiness proves the home to be excellent as happiness cannot be bought or faked, and happiness for my Dad means happiness for his loved ones, so we are hugely grateful.

I was very well looked after by the carers. The room was very comfortable and everything was very accessible. The bathroom and shower were excellent. There was plenty to eat and drink and lovely homemade cakes and frequent cups of tea on offer. I made many friends and enjoyed the very full and varied programme of activities. All staff were extremely kind.

Since my mother-in-law moved into Grosvenor Manor almost two years ago, the care and support she has received has been excellent. The staff are lovely, kind, caring and empathetic and treat everyone as individuals. The environment is superb, more like a hotel than a care home. To summarise, Grosvenor Manor is outstanding.

A superb care home, always spotlessly clean, and full of experienced, caring, enthusiastic and energetic staff for whom nothing is too much trouble.
The facilities are excellent, with lots of varied activities, good food, and they are very relaxed about relatives visiting at any time.

The quiet internal garden is brilliant, the frequent visits from local children make the residents so happy, and we love the regular appearances of the petting animals - dogs, shetland pony, parrots etc.

Anne
Anne Job Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2020

I’ve worked as a nurse for over 40 years in a variety of roles. I thoroughly enjoy working in care homes. As a nurse, you can build relationships with the people you’re caring for and their families in a way that’s just not possible in a hospital setting where people come and go. I love the fact that we’re making a big difference to people’s lives, and we get to see the evidence of that. It’s a privilege to be working for an excellent provider in Grosvenor Manor Care Centre, Lovett Care. I’m passionate about delivering high-quality care to each resident and supporting the staff in their careers within the healthcare sector.
