My husband was admitted to Windsor Court Care Home for respite care at short notice. He was treated with dignity and respect during his stay. All the staff were kind to him. The meals were of an excellent standard and his appetite improved. The kitchen staff work wonders when catering for so many people and deserve recognition. And management were most helpful in letting me know what services are available to us to enable care at home to continue. All in all my husband had a very pleasant experience and we should be happy to use them again.

My mother has been well looked after for several years at Windsor Court Care Home. The staff are kind, caring and professional. The management are very helpful and caring with residents. The food is very good too! My mother has a lovely room overlooking the garden. She spends a lot of time gazing out of the window. Thank you to everyone involved in my mother's care.

My aunt has been a resident for a year. Relatives have told me they don't need to ask how she likes it, they can see in her face. She loves living here. She enjoys the company of the other residents and the many activities the home provides. The staff are helpful, available, friendly and cheerful to my aunt and to us, her relatives. My aunt moved from living independently and has not regretted it. She is now worry-free and enjoys her life.

Reply from Terri Kidd, PR Executive at Windsor Court

Thank you for your kind words, this is such a lovely review. There is no higher praise than to hear that your aunt is ‘worry-free and enjoys life’, what more can any of us ask for? Windsor Court is a lovely family and we love having your aunt and, by extension, you as part of that family.

I am very impressed with Windsor Court. The leadership team do an amazing job.
The home has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the carers are all very kind and affectionate with my mother.
I am so impressed, grateful, and thankful for the care given both to my mother and myself.
Great thanks also to the lovely member of staff at the front desk.

Windsor Court has really eased the burden of placing my dad in care. The staff are genuinely warm and friendly. He now doesn't like leaving as he really feels at home. They have a real interest in his welfare, and I can't speak highly enough of this home and the staff.

A downside though - he's putting weight on because of the quality of the meals, meaning I'm buying bigger trousers - he loves living there.

Reply from Terri Kidd, PR Executive at Windsor Court

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We understand that there are a lot of feelings involved when moving to a care home, and it is important to us that from your first enquiry; we do all we can to try and support you all. We are sorry about the trousers situation… but it's great to hear that Dad is enjoying the food!

Windsor Court have all been superbly kind to my uncle even through all the grimmest aspects of dementia, and the endless changes of lockdowns. The team have been marvellous to all his friends and family, even coping well with staff changes, and after my uncle's death in their excellent care. I've had family in numerous care homes, and Windsor Court is by far the best I've experienced.

Reply from Terri Kidd, PR Executive at Windsor Court

Lovely staff, very friendly and supportive.
Facilities are excellent and the establishment is very open to families and questions.
Over 4 years we are totally convinced we choose the right care home for Mum.

It's not perfect but ideal care is certainly the best provider we have found.

The team were very supportive in making sure Mum stayed the minimum time in hospital and it really helped to get her back into a family environment.
The care team always show compassion and patience with Mum who has mobility issues and dementia.

The management team are always available to talk about Mum’s needs, which helps me a great deal.

I recently visited Windsor Court to see my mum, who has been a resident there for approx three years. As always, the home was welcoming and friendly, and Mum was happy and smiling. Other residents were also there, and it often seems as though you are visiting everyone in her wing rather than just Mum. Conversation is easily struck up with other residents who are always curious when visitors arrive. We spent some time with Mum in her room before taking her out for a coffee and cake, although chair aerobics was her alternative; she plumped for the coffee.
The home has been a welcome change to the numerous care homes that we visited before settling on Windsor Court; indeed many of the residents, Mum included, often reference the facilities it offers closer to a hotel than a care home. Each resident's room has its own ensuite facilities, flat-screen TV, and comfortable chairs.

The home often goes above and beyond; her 90th birthday was one such example with the exemplary buffet that they provided on the day for her and her immediate family in a private room so that we could celebrate as a family.

Mum has been at Windsor Court for coming up to a year now. The staff at Windsor have always been there for Mum when she has been unsettled. Mum has had different family members come to visit, and the management team have put nice food on in the garden room so we could have some private times with them.

I found all the staff to be pleasant and helpful and I have no complaints at all concerning my brother's care. It is a great relief to feel that he is so well looked after especially as I live almost 300 miles away, and I can only visit twice a year.

How happy I am to have found Windsor Court for my father! He is now walking again, he is regaining confidence and is regaining his health after a horrendous, life-threatening previous experience at a different home. Windsor Court has changed his life for the better. He is happier now, more comfortable, and with Windsor Court's help, more able to enjoy life. They are kind, compassionate and friendly in a nutshell, they care! As in everything, it is easy to see that this stems from the top. In my experience, the Windsor Court management is open, willing to engage, energetic, supportive and eager to improve residents' quality of life. When they say, 'We really want our residents here to be happy' they mean it and act on it. In 20 short weeks, they have helped bring my father back to his old self. Windsor Court is, for me, the best alternative to my father being in his own home. It is all down to the staff. Long may they continue their good work!

The staff are very friendly and caring. Mum recently had a stay away from the home in hospital but the home management have done everything possible to ensure she could return to the home on discharge and meets mums needs. The personal touch and care all the staff but especially the managers have shown mum and my family has been over and beyond what was expected. Thank you for all your help and efforts.

My father moved to Windsor Court in August 2021 when it was becoming too difficult to meet his care needs at home. He had been living with dementia for over 10 years and had associated and escalating physical frailties. After a successful 2 week respite stay in June he moved full time to Windsor Court 6 weeks later.
The home is comfortable and the facilities and range of activities are excellent. More importantly, the ethos is open, warm and welcoming. We have nothing but praise for the care that my father received. The staff and the care plans that they devised took full account of my dad's preferences, needs and also his wishes for the future. This included an expressed wish to avoid being readmitted to the hospital (if possible) in the event of a deterioration in his health.

In October his health deteriorated. The home worked closely with the primary care team and at all times consulted us and kept us informed. He received skilled and sensitive end of life care. The staff were fantastic.
