Windsor Court

Windsor Court is like a family home rather than a hotel. As one of the youngest residents (75), I have had to adjust my perception of living with much older residents and help them, often feeding them, helping staff, washing up, and tidying the lounges. If I do not wish to join in the activities I am perfectly happy to stay in my lovely ground floor room, listening to the radio, reading (big library here), doing puzzles. I also enjoy playing the electronic keyboard. The freedom to go out, have friends in, and going out in an evening (many people think we are curfewed!) I spent my golden ticket on a Microlight Flight! My CofE faith is comforting.

My father has been in respite care at Windsor Court, the staff were excellent, very caring and interested in the individual facilities, food, and activities all excellent.

My husband was admitted to Windsor Court Care Home for respite care at short notice. He was treated with dignity and respect during his stay. All the staff were kind to him. The meals were of an excellent standard and his appetite improved. The kitchen staff work wonders when catering for so many people and deserve recognition. And management were most helpful in letting me know what services are available to us to enable care at home to continue. All in all my husband had a very pleasant experience and we should be happy to use them again.

My mother has been well looked after for several years at Windsor Court Care Home. The staff are kind, caring and professional. The management are very helpful and caring with residents. The food is very good too! My mother has a lovely room overlooking the garden. She spends a lot of time gazing out of the window. Thank you to everyone involved in my mother's care.

My aunt has been a resident for a year. Relatives have told me they don't need to ask how she likes it, they can see in her face. She loves living here. She enjoys the company of the other residents and the many activities the home provides. The staff are helpful, available, friendly and cheerful to my aunt and to us, her relatives. My aunt moved from living independently and has not regretted it. She is now worry-free and enjoys her life.

Excellent all-around care.

My brother was moved to Windsor Court a few years ago. From the very beginning he has always been well cared for and consequently he has always been very happy there. It is very reassuring to know this, to know he is well treated by good staff.

I would always recommend Windsor Court to anyone who asks.

A downside though - he's putting weight on because of the quality of the meals, meaning I'm buying bigger trousers - he loves living there.

Windsor Court have all been superbly kind to my uncle even through all the grimmest aspects of dementia, and the endless changes of lockdowns. The team have been marvellous to all his friends and family, even coping well with staff changes, and after my uncle's death in their excellent care. I've had family in numerous care homes, and Windsor Court is by far the best I've experienced.

It's not perfect but ideal care is certainly the best provider we have found.

The management team are always available to talk about Mum’s needs, which helps me a great deal.

The home often goes above and beyond; her 90th birthday was one such example with the exemplary buffet that they provided on the day for her and her immediate family in a private room so that we could celebrate as a family.

Food could be better.

Mum has been at Windsor Court for coming up to a year now. The staff at Windsor have always been there for Mum when she has been unsettled. Mum has had different family members come to visit, and the management team have put nice food on in the garden room so we could have some private times with them.

I found all the staff to be pleasant and helpful and I have no complaints at all concerning my brother's care. It is a great relief to feel that he is so well looked after especially as I live almost 300 miles away, and I can only visit twice a year.

Very friendly and welcoming. The staff are always helpful and attentive to the residents.

How happy I am to have found Windsor Court for my father! He is now walking again, he is regaining confidence and is regaining his health after a horrendous, life-threatening previous experience at a different home. Windsor Court has changed his life for the better. He is happier now, more comfortable, and with Windsor Court's help, more able to enjoy life. They are kind, compassionate and friendly in a nutshell, they care! As in everything, it is easy to see that this stems from the top. In my experience, the Windsor Court management is open, willing to engage, energetic, supportive and eager to improve residents' quality of life. When they say, 'We really want our residents here to be happy' they mean it and act on it. In 20 short weeks, they have helped bring my father back to his old self. Windsor Court is, for me, the best alternative to my father being in his own home. It is all down to the staff. Long may they continue their good work!

The staff are very friendly and caring. Mum recently had a stay away from the home in hospital but the home management have done everything possible to ensure she could return to the home on discharge and meets mums needs. The personal touch and care all the staff but especially the managers have shown mum and my family has been over and beyond what was expected. Thank you for all your help and efforts.

Always a pleasure to visit even during Covid-19. Pleasant atmosphere, really nice staff.
