Having undergone a semi-serious operation, I needed somewhere to stay as I was enough to look after muscle for some weeks. I chose Bourne View and was glad I did so. A beautiful well-furnished building, friendly staff, good food - what more did I want? Highly recommend.
From the first contact with reception through to nursing care, the whole experience was one of professionalism and kindness.
On behalf of my wife and I, we can say without any hesitation that the choice of Bourne View for my Mum's care has been one of the best decisions we have ever made. It is easy to be inspired with the overall look of a building, it's decor and the comfort of resident's rooms (which Bourne View enjoys in abundance) but what really makes the Home stand out is the exceptional atmosphere created by the staff. At every level from Manager to Nursing, Care and support staff we are always humbled by the kindness and caring ways shown by the staff looking after Mum. If any matters are raised by us they are dealt with promptly and nothing is too much trouble.
For us the magic ingredient will always be about staff and attitude. The staff at Bourne View are simply the best we could ever have hoped for and it is they who keep my Mum happy and content - and us too!!
I came straight from hospital after a knee replacement for three weeks. The care was excellent and would return if necessary. Certainly, I will recommend the lovely building to anyone.
During a very difficult time with Covid it has been a comfort to me to know that mum has been cared for to an extremely high level. Special praise should be given to the clinical team; those who ensure mum is entertained; the receptionist who is always so knowledgeable and friendly and to the carers. So pleased that mum and I decided that Bourne View should be her new home.
A caring and beautiful home.
I will always be grateful to all staff, carers, nurses, cooks, cleaners, gardener, office staff, etc, for their wonderful care of mum, even during Covid-19. They truly loved Mum as was clear throughout her time there, but even more so when we shed tears together at Mum's passing on Monday. Thank you so much, Mum was happy with you.
Nursing help very good. My leg improved and the staff are wonderful and their food is delicious.
I am very happy to say I am looked after by a very dedicated team of carers who have given me total support, not just in the daytime, but throughout the night, when necessary, which is so reassuring. The home has a lovely atmosphere and the staff make this a very loving and caring place to live in.
The staff have been very friendly nothing is too much trouble. I have been here two weeks and it has been perfect. At the present time, I feel safe and well looked after by the staff.
Staying in this rest home is more like a five-star hotel. No worries, being looked after 24 hours a day. Plenty of activities to join in. I cannot fault this home.
Following surgery, I recently spent 4 weeks recuperating at Bourne View. The care I received was exemplary and I have nothing but praise for the professionalism and caring attitude of the management team, nurses, carers, chefs, dining room, entertainment and housekeeping staff who make Bourne View so special. The building is light and airy and the ensuite bedroom comfortable and tastefully furnished. The common areas, dining and sitting rooms are stunningly furnished with beautiful fabrics and artwork and include a hair salon and nail bar. Above all the level of care is not only in terms of help and assistance but is given with love and from the heart. I would have no hesitation in recommending Bourne View to anyone in need of recuperative or long term care.
I found the staff all the staff absolutely delightful at all times without exception. I enjoyed the food, there was plenty of choices and plenty of it. I joined a few of the activities and found all of them well run, light-hearted and fun. Overall my stay has been lovely and exceeded all my expectations.
There's a good choice of food, sadly I can't eat much.
There is always someone around to help, all the carers are fantastic. I have felt very safe.
From day one my Father has experienced such great care. The staff have been amazing. They could not do enough to make my father's time at Bourne View any more f a nicer experience. The carers have been amazing. The chefs have gone out of their way to help my Dad 's dietary requirements. All in all my Dad has enjoyed his stay enormously.
What a lovely home this is. Lovely staff. All very friendly. My friend's room was lovely and she seems very happy. My first visit and I was very impressed. Happy that my friend is living in such a lovely place.
My friend had only been at Bourne View for a month, so this was my first visit. I was met by a lovely member of staff with a big smile. There was a lovely homely feel. My friend's room was beautiful. The staff were always around to see if she was OK. My friend said the food was lovely and she was settling in well. I felt happy when I left my friend. This is a lovely place to live.
A high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the home and family are always felt very welcome!
It is my pleasure to write this review. The ambience at Bourne View was warm and welcoming. The beautiful decor, facilities and amenities were quite amazing. Each aspect designed for the comfort and wellbeing of residents. Activities were varied and interesting. All put together with enthusiasm to enforce one's enjoyment of life. The cuisine was varied and delicious and of course, the most important part of my stay was the kindness and caring. Without exception, the staff were attentive, caring and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. I could not have asked for more. Bourne view exceeded my expectations. I would have no hesitation in recommending it in the future.
The staff have been so good at supporting my treatment, my speech and memory.
My family have really noticed a positive difference and they have been brilliant.
