My mom and step father stayed for one weeks respite whilst house was adapted for mom. Carers are amazing. Food delicious. Mom settled in very easily nothing was too much trouble for carers. Mom only joined in one activity but really enjoyed it. The whole process was easy from start to finish....

My mum was a resident at Graysford Hall during the above dates. (She passed away on 28/04/26). The carers are outstanding, providing the very best care that they can without a full complement of staff. Residents are often left alone in the lounge/dining room due to low staff levels, certainly a safe guarding issue. Management is very poor in the time mum was there there were in excess of six managers and often no manager at all. Promises were made to improve but they didn't.

I was sorry to read your concerns regarding staffing levels and management changes during your mother's stay. We understand how this may have impacted your experience. Since then, we have welcomed a permanent Home Manager and Deputy Manager, providing greater stability and continuity for residents, families and staff.

We were all very sad when Dad's dementia made it impossible for him to remain in his own home, but we could not have asked for a nicer new home for him. From first contact right through to his death over 2 years later, he was treated like a family member by all the staff. He was always comfortable, well cared for, well fed and encouraged to join in with activities. We were given regular updates on his care and frequently called if we had any concerns or special requests. The kind and caring staff at Graysford made Dad's last 2 years as comfortable as they could have been, and they treated him with the ultimate dignity and respect in his last few days. It was touching to see how close so many members of staff were to him, it really felt like he had been with family and friends rather than 'away from home'.

My father does not mix with other residents so one of our concerns is lack of stimulation and the care team are aware. Management of the home has had its challenges and there have been 3 managers to date, which is difficult for staff & carers. Previously, there have been issues with weekend staffing, particularly management, but I understand this is being addressed. Personal care has been good & they have been very kind to my father.
