I loved the riverside cafe and all its homemade cakes and biscuits.

My husband spent 2 months in Henley Manor, Henley-on-Thames. The care he received was excellent, and everyone was so kind and helpful. I can't speak highly enough of the staff; they are a joy. My husband is currently on the waiting list for permanent care.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that your husband received excellent care during his stay and that our team made such a positive impression. We look forward to welcoming your husband back when a permanent place becomes available.

My mother is very well cared for and I'm very pleased with the way the home have managed her MS, stabilised her medications and improved her quality of life.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words. It truly means a great deal to our whole team to know that you feel your loved one is safe and well cared for.
Very happy. Feel we couldn't have picked a better home. My husband has settled in very well.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We're truly grateful for your trust in us to care for your husband .
I am of the opinion that this is because of the leadership. The girls at the desk do anything for us with a smile! The team of carers are gentle, sympathetic, and professional, while it is difficult to keep food appetising and appealing when they are catering for so many different tastes and ailments. The chef makes the food look attractive, and we can have snacks at any time. The activities are varied and sometimes need all our imagination and sense of fun. Overall, a super place!
We're so pleased to hear your feedback. Your kind words mean a lot to the whole team. Carig for you and all the residents and making sure you all feel at home is at the heart of everything we do.
I have always felt confident right from the first phone call to reception. "How can I help you?" are the first words you hear. "We can send you a brochure if you would like".
Having visited several care homes, Henley Manor proved to be the most suitable.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. It means so much to us to know that you feel happy, comfortable, and supported here. Your kind words remind us why we do what we do.
Lovely care home - highly recommend.
We are so grateful for your wonderful review. It's great to know that you are having a positive experience with us .
So friendly & helpful. The gardens & home are looking amazing since this member of staff has arrived. We could not be happier with the kindness they have shown Mum.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. We're delighted to hear that you and your loved one having a positive experience with us .
Thank you to all the staff at Henley Manor for helping my Dad transition into the home. Even before we arrived the customer relationship manager has been excellent showing us around, helping with all the necessary paperwork and being very responsive to all our questions. On arrival all the staff (and many residents) have been very welcoming, treating Dad with respect and dignity and encouraging as much independence as possible whilst also wanting to understand his preferences. He is still settling in, but I am hopeful that this will be a positive move for him. Many thanks again!
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. It has been a pleasure to assist you with moving Dad into Henley Manor and we are delighted to have him as part of our family.
My parents stayed at Henley Manor for just over 2 years before they passed away within 3 months of each other. Having contacted other care homes in the area, Henley Manor stood out, especially with the warmest of interactions, the range of activities on offer and the high quality of catering. Looking back, I can add outstanding care and an especially homely environment to this. The care and empathy towards the end of the journey was also notable. We made the right choice and I would unreservedly recommend Henley Manor.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. Having Mum and Dad join our Henley Manor family was a genuine pleasure, I miss hearing Dad talk about cars! Your kind words are very much appreciated by the whole team.
My mum was in two homes before Henley Manor and I am so pleased Henley Manor had space as I can't fault the care of my mum. How do reception staff remember all of the residents and visitors?!
Thank you very much for your kind words and for trusting in the team to look after mum. I will be sure to pass your comments on to the wider team as I know they will mean a lot to them.
The super team were so supportive in every way, both to him and us.
They are so professional & caring. Dad made many friends there (as we did too), he enjoyed the activities which were very varied and always of a high standard. We enjoyed spending time in the garden too, which is perfectly set out with plenty of benches and seats to rest awhile.
In short, I believe that Dad received the best care possible in his final months at Henley Manor.
It was a great relief to know he was so well looked after.
Thank you so much Kim for your kind words and for trusting us to look after Dad. I have said it before but I will say it again, he was a very special man with very special daughters.
From the moment we first visited and were met by the customer relations manager, we knew Dad would be in safe hands.
This is a really special place, the staff on the dementia floor are outstanding, residents are consistently treated with respect and kindness. We visited Dad very regularly so we witnessed a lot of interactions.
The home manager is very hands-on and very receptive to feedback - she is always keen to hear how things can improve further.
Activities are thoughtfully planned - from themed days to visiting performers, farmyard animals, musicians etc. - and regular bingo, quizzes, sharing newspapers etc.
Families and friends are welcomed warmly as are dogs which was another reason the home worked so well for my dad. The open cafe area is lovely.
Henley Manor provided outstanding care for Dad until his passing.
Dear Liz, thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. It was pleasure to get to know Dad and a real honour to be trusted with his care. He was an amazing man with amazing daughters!
Although my father's respite fell through the experience afforded and extended to me was absolutely amazing. I was lost when I contacted and visited Henley Manor, like walking in concrete. The welcome, support, guidance and passion for excellence totally surpassed my expectations and also evaporated my concerns and difficulties placing my father into respite. The team and the building is a taste of paradise. Congratulations to all your colleagues at Henley Manor. Thank you.
It was a pleasure to be able to assist you while you were looking for respite care for your father. Thank you for your kind words.
The food is outstanding. The socialising areas are big and roomy. The garden is very well set out for wheelchairs and walkers. Every detail has been well thought out. I love it.
Thank you for your lovely feedback! I will be sure to pass your kind words on to all the team, I know it will mean a lot to them to hear such lovely feedback.

Meet the Team (2)

I joined Hallmark family in November 2020 as the General Manager of Henley Manor Care Home. I have worked as a nurse for over 20 years and the past 10 years I have specialised in elderly care and working with people living with dementia. My philosophy is to provide person-centred care that embraces holistic and meaningful care for residents. I pride myself in leading a team that provides high-quality support in a culturally healthy environment.

I have worked in the care industry for over 30 years and have enjoyed every role I have done, from Kitchen Porter to Home Manager.
However, my role as the Customer Relationship Manager here at Henley Manor is very special to me. Searching for the right care home for a loved one is one of the most important decisions we may have to face, because of this, it is also usually one of the hardest decisions we have to make.
As the Customer Relationship Manager, I am here to ensure this stressful and sometimes difficult process is as easy as it can be. By sharing my wealth of knowledge, I strive to help prospective residents and their families during this difficult time.
So, if you are looking into care for yourself or for a loved one, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be only too happy to show you around our lovely home and assist in any way I can.
