Hallmark Henley Manor

my mum went to Henley Manor for respite while I was away on holiday. She thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She really enjoyed the food, having a patio door in her room looking out onto the garden and loved it when the carers pushed her around the garden. the carers were so kind and caring and I know she would have returned for another stay had time allowed. (Mum passed away October 2022).

Quite sorry to leave.

I came for two weeks respite and it was perfect. The staff are caring and attentive. The activities are often outstanding and the rooms and bathrooms excellent. Meals are varied and delicious and well presented. The garden allows exercise and space to breathe fresh air.

Mum's room looked out onto the garden, and she said that she spent lots of time outside, which she loved. She had her hair and nails done and looked very well when I came to take her home. Mum enjoyed the many activities, including the exercise classes and church service. Thank you to everyone.

All the team are happy and content.

The whole team within Henley Manor creates a positive, friendly, caring and professional environment for the residents and I have no hesitation in recommending Henley Manor most highly.

My father has been a resident of Henley Manor Care Home since June this year following an initial respite stay. The care and comfort he receives is nothing short of exceptional. It’s like a 5-star hotel with nursing care as well. All the staff are so helpful and kind and nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing and they have gone above and beyond to make my father feel at home. His room is very comfortable and very much his own space. There are often events for him to join in with if he wants and everyone is always so welcoming when visiting. I cannot recommend Henley Manor Care Home more highly!

Very caring.

At the end of June 2021, we moved our mum to Henley Manor from another care home. She needs dementia nursing care. A week later we moved our father in. He is 89 and had been living alone visiting his wife twice per week. They have separate rooms at Henley Manor next door to each other and the facilities in terms of the bedrooms, decor, furnishings, shared dining and living rooms are first class. Mum has settled in very quickly partly due to seeing her husband every day but also due to the amazingly attentive and caring staff. Dad is struggling to adapt to his new home but the Henley Manor staff are doing everything they can to make him feel at home by keeping him occupied with various activities and most importantly arranging for him to spend as much time as possible with his wife. Before we moved Mum and Dad to Henley Manor we visited several other homes and we are absolutely delighted with our choice. All the staff at Henley Manor so far have been absolutely excellent and we cannot fault their care and support.

I have been in discussion with the staff at Henley Manor for over 18 months about transferring my mum (with dementia) from her care home. Mum was then admitted into hospital whereby I decided that it was the right time for mum to move. I cannot praise the team highly enough at Henley Manor, from the assistance they gave me with the transfer and with the subsequent care that mum is now receiving - nothing is too much trouble and mum is so much brighter in herself. I would have no hesitation in recommending Henley Manor.

Looking to consolidate my wife’s recovery from a hip fracture operation, I was fortunate to be able to book her in for a short convalescent stay at Henley Manor. Newly built, this is a bright, clean, well equipped and welcoming care home. All my enquiries were dealt with promptly and courteously. My wife’s health and medication details were carefully assessed by video call before admission to make sure her needs could be met. She was given a spacious room overlooking the well-kept garden. The staff are delightful, giving the impression of being happy in the work they do, unfailingly caring, patient and responding promptly to any call for assistance. For lunch she was offered a choice of two starters, mains and desserts. Tea included a delicious piece of cake. My wife’s opportunity to enjoy the excellent amenities and daily activities was necessarily restricted by the fourteen-day Covid quarantine requirement. But all in all, we were very pleased with our choice of Henley Manor.

I find the home relaxing and we are encouraged to take part in activities not forced.

From what we have been able to see, this is a lovely home, very light and fresh, with lovely staff and a proactive approach. We are fully confident that, as covid restrictions are lifted and visiting is resumed, Mum will settle very happily into her new environment.

My mother was keen to choose a care home in the area if she had to move into one, as she has lived in the area for many years and it meant that family and friends could visit. We have been so impressed with the staff who are extremely helpful and friendly and have helped my mother settle in. Nothing is too much trouble, and they respond quickly. The home is light, airy and well equipped and there is a range of activities on offer including a small cinema. My mother found the Remembrance Day Service especially moving. It was really good that my mother could take a few items of small furniture and pictures into her room and these were delivered in advance and put in her room, helping the transition and making it more personal when she arrived. It has been a big adjustment for my mother and the family, but the staff have been very sensitive to this, understanding and welcoming.
