Very impressed with the welcome to the home. A very friendly greeting. Any questions answered and no problem being shown around. Any requests dealt with. All staff very friendly. Visits always a pleasure.

In my opinion, all of the staff have been extremely helpful and friendly. The home is modern and clean, with lovely lounges and a balcony area to sit. The area for morning coffee creates a nice area to mingle, and the gardens are always well kept with lovely garden furniture to relax in.

My visits since the day my dad came here have always been very pleasant. All the staff can't do enough for me, even during the very difficult times of covid. All the staff who care for my dad do so in the most respectful way. I can't speak highly enough. The reception staff are so helpful, informative, and caring. Overall it puts our minds at ease as a family whilst my dad is here.

I enjoy a wonderfully close relationship with my Grandfather who was diagnosed with dementia. I also work in advocacy/social work and when we realised we couldn't keep him safe at home anymore, did a lot of research into care homes in the area. I wanted him to have the best we could find. He went in for respite/trial. Within a week he was telling me he didn't want to go home. 8 months on, he's gone from looking confused, vacant, withdrawn, and lost, to being the bright, sunny and shiny chap we thought we'd lost to dementia. He's a regular feature on their social media page, and will tell anyone that'll listen, that the staff are wonderful, the food is lovely (he's put on a stone!) and he has made friends. His well-being has improved more than we ever dared to hope and he's so so happy. Other family members have seen this improvement in him and placed their relative in there too. It's the staff that make it, they are another breed of wonderful. It's like he's come back to us.

I have visited many care home facilities over the years but Avon Valley at Kingswood, Bristol is undoubtedly the best! An excellent modern facility with good rooms, lounges, cafe bars, hairdressing salon, library, patios, and a sun deck lounge. The staff are very friendly and attentive and, with most of them being from the local area, they also relate well with the residents. We couldn't have chosen a better place for my wife's uncle.

Value - I guess it is but increase to around £5,000 per month is big.

Avon Valley Care Home is like a 5-star hotel. My mother-in-law was unsure about residential care. She loves everything about Avon Valley. She settled in within days and constantly sings the praises of everyone. Thank you for giving such excellent care.

The care that Mum received at Avon Valley Care Home was excellent. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. They encouraged her out of her room to join in a variety of lovely activities on offer. The food and meals were all very nourishing. The rooms are lovely, clean and bright. There is a beautiful garden to sit in. We cannot thank all the staff at Avon Valley Care Home enough for all their hard work and care for residents during this difficult year with Covid. They made the last two years of mum's life comfortable and enjoyable as it could be. We would highly recommend.

The pandemic has been extremely challenging but the staff have tried very hard to help with visits once they were allowed. They are always really helpful and friendly. Mum often feels very ill although it's not clear why and I feel they give her very good and compassionate care. I would definitely recommend the care at Avon Valley for someone you love.

Since my grandmother moved in her she has been taken care of well. Contact and communication are good, if I want to speak/visit it is made possible. The room and surroundings are lovely. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

Professional, polite and caring team. Covid secure. The environment is so clean, modern and has a happy vibe about it always.

I find the staff very friendly and helpful and they look after my mother very well. Mum is very happy here and it's the sort of place I hope I will find myself in one day. It's a lovely building and gardens, all in all, it's a fantastic place to be in. Thank you to all the staff.

My sister and her husband have been here almost two years and the care they have received is amazing. The staff are so caring and patient and treat their residents and families and friends with great respect. Cannot fault Avon Valley.

The care and attention given is second to none. Mum has been happily living here for the past two years, and thanks Avon Valley is now her home. Lovely staff that give all they can to the residents and make them part of the family.

My mum moved in 5 months ago and has received the best care, love, and attention we could have hoped for. Not only is the care 1st class but the environment is absolutely amazing! Not at all in line with my pre-conceptions - absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend Avon Valley Care Home for anyone's loved ones.

It has been a difficult time for everyone over the last year, however, the whole team have done a difficult job with care, love and understanding. My mum receives the best of care delivered with love by each member of the team. Avon Valley has not only looked after my mum but always extend their care to the whole family. Over the Covid pandemic, even when it hit the home, I never doubted for one second that the standards had dropped or that my mum was being given the best care I and my brother could ask for. All staff have been brilliant during the lockdown. The home is clean, tidy and a happy atmosphere. Mum was well cared for when she was unwell. Sometimes communication could be better. The only negative has been the issues with the activities after two people left there was a lot of new staff that were not suitable for the role.

Arranging for friends of ours to be two of the first residents at Avon Valley was a welcome relief in terms of help given and the quality of the Avon Valley Care Home. Since then we have been extremely impressed with the care, consideration, professionalism, patience and help shown by all of the staff at Avon Vally, thus making our lives and those of our friends so much better as we and they know that they are in very safe hands.
