Mum has been in the home for a couple of months following the move from another home due to care needs. The staff made mum and us very welcome.
Activities are varied and well run - a big thank you to the team and special thank you to Helen who regularly takes Mum on a walk in the beautiful gardens.
We feel Mum is well looked after but would like to see more check ups on mum while we are around, not sure if they rely on us while we are there.
Rooms are well presented, regularly cleaned, decent size with en suite and very bright and light.

Overall would definitely recommend.

Every single employee we had contact with was a fine example of dedication to their profession. So many went above and beyond on a daily basis, and not just for Dad, but the whole family. I wonder if each staff member gets verbal recognition/praise regularly from the management team? They deserve it - daily, from the fab chef to the laundry to the carers. It is their hard work that made Dad's care such a positive one. Yes the facilities are lovely, the security excellent, but it was the people on the ground that makes this care home outstanding. It is impossible to name even 20 individuals for specific praise; it really is all of them. Please do something to recognise that from us.

My wife has been a resident in the home for some 18 months and during this time she has received first class care. The staff are dedicated, compassionate and make a huge effort to ensure that the residents are involved in the various activities, but also recognise that not everyone wants to join in and cater for this accordingly.
I have been really impressed at the ease of communication with the staff and their willingness to be open about any problems- such as falls- this really does inspire confidence.

As far as I and the immediate family are concerned she is in the best place getting the care that her complex needs require.

My mum has been a resident on the care floor for just under a year. After experiencing rehab care in other setting's, we were worried about mum going anywhere long term.
After searching we were lucky to get mum a place at RV.
The care mum receives is excellent. The nursing staff are brilliant and always listen. If I have any concerns they have normally already picked this up and already acted on them.
The staff ratio is really good and the carers work really hard. Everyone is really friendly and I have often seen staff sitting and talking to the residents and holding their hands as if they were their own grandparent. Their kindness is so reassuring. I know that mum is safe and well cared for.
The entertainment team, well what can I say, mum just loves all the entertainment especially the singing.

I am eternally grateful that mum is there and cant thank all the staff enough.

I am happy to say a few words to pass on our recommendation. You never plan for this journey as it's uncharted waters. From the first telephone call, Clair held our hands to ensure it was the right place for Mum. Mums are like precious stones and we have been blessed that the whole experience has been wonderful! The environment, the warm, caring welcome we have received from all at Richmond has been outstanding. The standard of furnishings, cuisine, attention to detail has surpassed our concerns without hesitation. First rate.

Richmond looked after Mum for over 4 years on the nursing floor. She received the best care which was sometimes very difficult to give because of Mum's complex needs. The staff never gave up and never left her unclean or hungry, constantly monitoring and fulfiling every need, even as her condition resulted in sad decline. The whole team, including reception, senior nurses, carers, admin and the wonderful people who do the laundry and maintenance all work together to provide a facility which does really try to be someone's home even in the worst of circumstances. We never ever wanted Mum to be in a care home, but having no choice, this was the best place she could have been. Thank you to everyone.

My husband arrived on the care floor over two years ago, following a lengthy stay in hospital. The care he has received has been excellent, largely due to the experience and dedication of the nursing staff. The nurse to resident ratio is very good, and each member of staff works tirelessly to ensure good care. Carers' work is physically demanding, moving heavy mobile chairs and hoists and making every effort to get residents out of bed each day. This allows residents to make use of the outdoor spaces and patios. Staff receive ongoing training and are knowledgeable about dementia. Residents are encouraged to participate in activities regularly. Any concerns raised are addressed promptly.

The receptionists are welcoming and provide additional support.

Dementia nursing care in any nursing home is expensive, and although Richmond Village Willaston is one of the more expensive homes, in my experience , the staffing numbers and quality mean it is also one of the best.

Mum stayed for three weeks of respite care whilst we were on holiday.

We were impressed with the staff from our very first visit. The wonderful reception team, who were excellent ambassadors and who we felt made a real effort to get to know Mum and make her feel welcome, along with all the care team. Our interactions with the administration staff were also excellent, prompt responses at all times, combined with friendly and welcoming communication.

The home itself is lovely, very welcoming and as well as somewhere nice for your relative to stay, it's a pleasant place to visit. Mum had a lovely room with patio doors to the garden, which she and her visitors enjoyed.

We are very grateful to all the team at Richmond Village Willaston for making Mum feel so welcomed and cared for. For the first time ever, we actually think she was reluctant to leave!

We hope to bring Mum back on regular basis to enjoy the dementia friendly cafes.

My Mother is on the care floor and the level of care she has received to date has been absolutely first class. I couldn't have asked for more from the whole RV team.

RV offers a wonderful, warm, and friendly environment. It genuinely feels like a 'home from home'. The staff I have interacted with have gone above and beyond, and nothing is too much trouble. It is such a pleasure to visit, as we always feel welcome. The residents are well looked after, and I often see staff interacting with them with kindness and affection.

I would not hesitate to recommend RV to anyone seeking top-tier nursing care for a loved one.

Richmind Village in Willaston have delivered outstanding care for my mother who has Parkinsons and dementia. It's a great relief to me to know she is well looked after and that the nursing care is so good. The small things, like seeing her dressed nicely with her hair done make such a difference. The nurses are very diligent with making sure her medical needs are reviewed and met. The dementia journey is a difficult one to navigate, and the family are very grateful to the staff for looking after her so well. Thank you.

In 2022 my sisters and I were faced with the devastating decision to place our amazingly independent Mother into nursing care. This followed a stroke which caused right side paralysis.

Although diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2018, the symptoms of the disease were mild and she was still safe and well enough to live at home. The stroke changed all that and we reluctantly accepted that, despite our best efforts, we had neither the medical experience nor facilities to keep Mum at home. Placing in Mum in Richmond Willaston was the best decision we could have made. The staff across the board have been wonderful. They are caring, professional and welcoming. Requests or questions are dealt with promptly and we are absolutely secure in the knowledge that Mum is looked after to a standard that we ourselves would set with the added benefit of excellent nursing and personal care. My sisters and I are also made to feel welcome and listened to. Thank you all so much.

My mother has been resident on the Care Floor for more than 2 years. She continues to be very well cared for, which puts our minds at ease. We know she is looked after now that we are no longer able to provide the level of support she needs. Despite her advanced dementia she enjoys the activities offered and seems content. The staff are friendly and engage with residents, and with their families. I am very grateful for the kindness the staff show my mum and other residents.

Richmond Village Wistaston Nantwich offers an excellent service for families and their loved ones. Care needs are thoroughly assessed and regularly reviewed to ensure the best possible care for its residents. There is a good variety of daily activities for the residents to take part in. The staff are extremely helpful, professional and patient. Managers and staff communicate well with family members about ongoing care needs. Family members are fully involved in care reviews. I would wholeheartedly recommend RV as a first class professionally managed care home.

Mum has been a resident at Richmond Village Willaston for about 14months now. The carers are fantastic with mum, were very quick to get to know her likes/dislikes, the seniors are very attentive with mums care and provide the family with updates on mum on each visit.

More recently the number of carers available to the residents has been reduced however, which has made a noticeable affect on their morale in general. Despite this the carers are always very professional, attentive and caring towards residents.

The rooms/accommodation is always extremely clean and all personal care is professionally undertaken and with exteme dignity.

I no longer worry about mum, knowing she has the support, care and comfort she needs. I would ask the facility to not cut any more carers and to look for savings elsewhere if increasing costs are becoming an issue, especially as residents costs increase each year.

Carers are very compassionate and caring towards residents. Staff are very welcoming to visitors and make you feel comfortable. If I have a query, it is dealt with pretty quickly and a resolution is normally found quickly. I do feel that there are not enough carers to help residents at times. My Mum feels that she has to wait quite a while sometimes when she needs assistance to go to the toilet. Also, there needs to be more care and attention to residents needing dentistry, foot care and eye care. My Mum has been at Willaston for nearly two years and has still not seen a dentist. I had tried a couple of times to ask for her to see one but still it has not happened.

Overall, lovely place to live and I feel comfortable and reassured that Mum's needs are being met.

The staff and care at Richmond Willaston is fantastic. In my experience the staff show care to the whole family when we visit, in addition to the outstanding care shown towards my husband who is a resident in one of the households. The difficult decision to put my husband into a care home has been made much easier when I can see that the specialist care he is receiving has made him happier than when he was at home. All in all I think that the staff, from the carers and managers to the receptionists do an amazing job.

As a family we have been very lucky to have found a place at Willaston for Mum. It's the nearest thing to her living in her own home. The carers are skilled at encouraging her to mobilise, socialise and eat - all important for those with dementia. The admin and reception staff are reassuring to residents and are always welcoming and ready to offer moral support to visitors after difficult visits. The maintenance team, cleaners, caterers, entertainment staff and gardeners are dedicated to creating a safe and pleasant environment. Finally the senior carers and managers are always available and ready to help sort out issues, even the tricky ones using their extensive experience. I would unhesitatingly recommend Richmond Villages Willaston.
