Richmond Villages Willaston is a Specialist Dementia Village inspired by the Dutch "household" model and is a sister village to Richmond Nantwich just a mile away.

The Village has six ground floor households, each accommodating six residents (couples are welcome) and features generously sized en-suite bedrooms, many opening out onto secure outside gardens or patios. Each also has a shared lounge, kitchen and laundry with the care and support team known as Household Assistants, on hand to help residents with early-onset dementia to be as independent as possible for as long as possible.

The first floor houses a 35-bed care home for residents requiring more advanced dementia care; here the rooms are generous and have en-suite wet rooms. Many rooms have stunning views across the surrounding fields and countryside and on clear days Beeston Castle can be seen in the distance.

Residents have access to dining rooms and lounges whilst on sunnier days the secure roof gardens can be enjoyed by all.

The village facilities include an urban spa with treatment rooms, a nail bar, a hair salon as well as accessible landscaped gardens, sun terraces and a bistro/café bar. For younger visitors there is a playground to make visiting more exciting; well-behaved pets are also welcome (though it's asked that they are kept on leads).

All household and care home rooms are decorated by a team of specialist interior designers and feature electric profiling beds, a range of furniture, TV, telephone and Wi-Fi access.

Following their sister Village's continued commitment to the local community, Richmond Willaston will be a central hub for Creating Dementia Friendly Nantwich and will strive to be part of both the immediate community of Willaston and those further afield.

Everyone is very pleasant. My husband is now able to see a doctor and other professionals who we were not able to see during Covid 19 restrictions. Two items have gone missing, one pair of blue velvet slippers, and a charger for his electric shaver.

Richmond Village were amazing at providing first class end of life care to my dad who suffered from Alzheimer's.
From the cleaners to the caterers to the care staff and nurses, nothing was too much trouble. They were very caring and compassionate at a difficult time.

My mum moved a month ago into the care floor. She has been much happier and has gained weight. I am very happy with the wonderful care and attention from all areas, from the ladies in laundry, ladies who bring tea and coffee, and all the staff. Thank you all so much. Highly recommend.

My aunt and uncle were welcomed into a household setting in July and have spent the last 4 months at Richmond Village Willaston. The permanent staff are caring and considerate, taking time to deal with my relatives as individuals. The home is spotless and well-appointed with a homely feel.

After enquiring at several homes I found Richmond Villages gave me the answers I needed. The manager gave me all the information which convinced me they could provide all the care that my husband needed for his many illnesses. He was very apprehensive about leaving home but I needn't have worried. He
settled well in the beautiful surroundings and with very caring staff. Would love to go back thanks to all the team. A little expensive!

My mother came to stay for respite care for 2 weeks whilst I went on holiday. Overall I was very impressed with the care that she received. There were only a handful of residents though as the home is new. The food was exceptional and the carers were lovely. On a negative note, 2 items of clothing went
missing, there was no hairdresser and limited activities (this may be because it is not full).

Richmond Village Willaston now has an Activity Coordinator in place and she brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience and lots of ideas for our residents. As our occupancy grows I am considering the position of a regular hairdresser and will be shortlisting very soon, however, in the meantime there is a qualified hairdresser in house and we are utilising her skills!

My husband and I can’t rate the team at Willaston more highly. We are both grateful to know Mum and Dad are safe and getting the highest level of care, having both moved to their new home, which is beautiful and tranquil. The staff have done everything to ensure they are happy and are having all their

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2017

Michelle joined Richmond Villages in February 2017 and started her career at Richmond Villages Nantwich as a Senior Care Assistant. When Richmond Willaston was built in 2021 she decided to transfer and joined Richmond Willaston as Residential Lead.


Michelle progressed her career and became Home Manager in May 2022. Michelle provides support to all the Heads of Department in their roles and helps out as and when needed. She is responsible for maintaining a set budget, future planning for the village and supporting all our residents and their families. Michelle also spends time networking and promoting Richmond Willaston.
