The staff are very good. The quality of food and the way it is prepared is poor. Security needs to be reviewed. We regularly walk in unchallenged.
Thank you for taking the time to review. We will ensure we address your concerns.
Lambwood Heights Care Home is very luxurious and the staff are caring. No real complaints! Just that residents are left every day placed in a lounge in front of the TV so they all sleep while staff sit around. Staff problems like everywhere, especially weekends. Repetitive entertainment and food. They do their best!
Thank you for taking the time to review. We will be responsive to your comments.
My mum has been a resident since April 2022. It is never an easy decision, but our worries and concerns were put to rest after mum's short stay for respite on two occasions had been such a help to both mum and myself. When the time came to consider permanent care, Lambwood Heights was our first choice. The staff are very caring and committed as is management too, and are always willing to help with any matters you wish to discuss. Mum is happy and content which gives us peace of mind. I would not hesitate to recommend Lambwood Heights to those looking for the best care for loved ones.
Thank you for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights, we are delighted to have your mum living at Lambwood. Your comments are much appreciated by all the staff.
The care given to my wife is excellent. The staff at Lambwood work very hard not only for the residents but also for the relatives. The atmosphere within Lambwood is a credit to all the dedicated people that are employed there.
Many thanks for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights. It is our pleasure to care for your wife. Your comments will be appreciated by the whole team.
From what I have seen, the home is caring for my mother very well. At first, she was very reluctant to join in the lifestyle activities and make friends with the other residents, but with the staff's encouragement, she is now participating in most of the entertainment and social programme. The carers are very friendly and attentive to my mum's needs and are always helpful to visitors. The management has invited residents' families to give their ideas and views on improvements, which is good.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our service, and we are delighted your Mum has started to enjoy life at Lambwood Heights!
Warmly walked through a visit at the home by the client's relationship manager. Took my mum's needs and concerns with compassion. Every member of staff has been above and beyond expectations. She often remarks, feeling like she is on holiday! I could not have asked for a better outcome for my mum's happiness and care. The costs are higher than average, but the standard of care is second to none.
Thank you for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights - your comments will be appreciated by the whole team. We are delighted mum comes back regularly for a respite say or to help out.
Parking could be a problem.
Our mum enjoyed visiting your hair salon.
The home always appeared clean and tidy.
All the staff were friendly and approachable.
Thank you for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights, your comments are appreciated. We look forward to welcoming your mum again in the future.
It's like a home from home. Would highly recommend.
Many thanks for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights, it has been our pleasure to have your sister back with us again for a respite stay and we look forward to being of service again in the future.
All the staff were extremely attentive, knowledgeable and helpful in looking after my mother for maybe fifteen months. During the difficult Covid times, their attention to all required protocols was always up to date and communication of such was first class. Many thanks, Team.
Many thanks for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights, it was our pleasure to have your Mum staying with us and we sincerely hope she continues to stay well and happy.
The staff at this home have treated my wife with considerable professionalism as regards her care and medication, but also with much-unaffected kindness and encouragement. One sees this extended to other residents too, and she has blossomed after prompt admission in September when two other nursing homes had to decline her admission.
The facilities are very well designed, each floor and wing having its own individual and appealing character, and residents' rooms are furnished to a high standard. The catering and hospitality are exemplary: several of my wife's relatives have visited from far away, and have been able to share a fine meal with her. An `excellent' rating throughout is not given lightly: the improvement in her condition since admission is enormously encouraging.
Many thanks for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights. Your comments are appreciated by the whole team and we hope your wife continues to thrive.
I am very happy with the care my husband is receiving. The home is warm and welcoming with excellent facilities and varied activities. The fact that he has seen a GP on several occasions is an added bonus.
Thank you very much for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights, we are delighted to have your husband living in this lovely home and welcoming you on regular visits.
An excellent care home. Very good facilities, spotlessly clean and very well presented. A lot of thought has gone into the sign. The staff were very professional and had a better understanding of my mother's needs than I did. They kept her side safe. They are very good at managing the covid situation, facilitating the visiting, and going beyond what was required of them. The food was excellent and I was able to have a meal with my mother which wouldn't have been possible in most homes. My mother had a beautiful en-suite room which was better than her room at home.
Many thanks for taking the time to send a review, your comments are much appreciated. It was our pleasure to care for your mother and we were all saddened to hear of her passing.
Was initially worried about putting mum into a care home for respite having a fixed idea of what they might be like, but Lambwood Heights is like a five-star hotel. The care, staff, facilities and activities were excellent during her two-week stay - the second time we've used their respite option.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are delighted to have welcome your mum twice already for a respite stay and very much look forward to seeing her again soon.
This is a review of Lambwood Heights Care Home. I looked at quite a few care homes in the local area and was very impressed from the start and continue to be from my first meeting with the Client Relations Manager. We were shown all around this lovely home. The bedrooms are large and airy and of high quality fixtures and fittings. I like the art deco design throughout. The staff are kind. It is very hard for any person to leave their own home but on arrival to my mother's room there was a welcome bunch of flowers, chocolates and a card. These touches are very nice. They celebrate as much as they can different events and will always try to insure the resident is happy. I would have no hesitation in recommending it here.
Thank you very much for taking the time to send in your review. Your comments and observations are very welcome and we are delighted to have your Mum living with us, it's our pleasure to care for her.
Lambwood Heights Care Home is like a 5-star hotel. I will be forever grateful for the care and respect given to my mum in her last few weeks on the nursing floor. We had wonderful quality time with Mum, secure in the knowledge that she was being given the best care and that she was safe. With love and thanks to every single member of staff.
It was such an honour to care for your mum and keep her as comfortable as possible. Thank you for taking the time to review and the whole team will appreciate your comments.
Such caring staff who are so patient and kind to my dad. They take time to get to know what he is able to do and what he needs help with, also his likes and dislikes. They help him keep as much independence as they can while keeping him safe. The room is very spacious and kept spotless, and the bathroom (ensuite) allows Dad to have daily showers again! They also take time to listen to my concerns, and having a doctor visit weekly, gives me great peace of mind.
Many thanks for taking the time to review and for your positive comments. We are always keen to feedback from relatives and have an opportunity to rectify any issues as they arise. Your kind comments will be passed onto all staff.
I found Lambwood Heights Care Home to be a warm, friendly environment and the carers and facilities were good. The standard of hygiene appeared excellent and dad was washed/showered daily. It was handy to have the hairdresser onsite and dad enjoyed the quiz socials. There was poor flexibility with regard to main meal times as the timing didn't work well with dad's dialysis schedule and on these days and he wasn't given a substantially balanced meal in the evening.
Many thanks for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights, your comments are very welcome and have been noted for future visits. It was our pleasure to have your dad stay with us.
What a difference! This new building has a hotel atmosphere, distant from any institutional ambience. The main difference is the staff they make every floor a joy and a happy place to live.
Many thanks for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights, we are delighted your brother-in-law has settled well and is happy.
The facilities and care staff are very good. Most of the staff are very caring, but often there seems to be a shortage of staff, and therefore, slow response times when needed. Response from management to written concerns is slow. Food is served late lunchtimes - often 1.30 or later, so desert sometimes carrying out 2.45 or after, which is too late I think.
Many thanks for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights, it was our pleasure to care for your Mum.
The service that the care home offers is really something else and even though it's not cheap it's worth every penny. You can't take the money with you and if you want to give the best final years to your family member then there is really no hesitation to go for the best you can afford. Every member of the staff goes far above the expectations we had and it offers something for every elderly person no matter their condition.
Thanks very much for your kind review, the whole team really appreciate your kind comments and opinion.

Meet the Team (4)

I started my journey in Health and Social Care over a decade ago; since then, I have worked in a variety of different areas, such as Physical Disability, Learning Disability and Residential Care. I am proud and passionate to work at Lambwood Heights as General Manager, and my primary aim within my role is to create and lead a people-centred function team that delivers the best possible experience for our residents, ensuring they continue to lead a happy and purposeful life.

I began my nursing career in 2005 after qualifying as a Registered General Nurse. Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of roles across both community and acute hospital settings, with most of my positions involving leadership or management responsibilities. I pride myself on maintaining high clinical standards and always focusing on compassionate, person-centred care. I love being part of the Lambwood Heights family, and I thoroughly enjoy working here.

I have been in the Health and Social Care Sector for 30 years, reaching my ambition to become a Registered Manager. I joined Oakland Care in October 2019 and have worked in various roles throughout this time and settled as the homes’ Client Relations Assistant.
Every day I walk through the door, I still get the wow feeling, thinking how lucky we are to have Lambwood Heights as a place to call home for our residents and a beautiful place to work. I thoroughly enjoy this role and meeting people as they begin their care journey and supporting them in discovering that we see it as a new chapter to be enjoyed to the full.

I joined Lambwood Heights in February 2020 and bring a lot of experience and knowledge to my role as Head of Hospitality at Lambwood Heights having previously worked at Village Kitchen, La Sala and Chigwell Hall.
We pride ourselves that the daily menu has enough variety for residents to enjoy something different each day. It’s important to get regular feedback from our residents on their likes and dislikes whilst ensuring their dietary and nutritional needs are met.
We often have themed days such as Caribbean Day and always have Fish and Chip Fridays! I like to ensure residents have their favourite meals too and our milkshakes are very popular.
When not in the kitchen I enjoy spending time with my son Antoni and long walks with my dog.
