Birkdale Tower

A very happy place.

This is everything that my mum requires. I feel now, with the help of the staff, she is now interacting more. Thank you.

After being assessed and considered to be eligible for the home after 3 days we were informed that they could not meet his needs and he would have to move. In general the day staff were great but found the night staff to be very uncaring and inpatient. I found my partner in bed with his day clothes on and soaking wet at 8am when i visited him early 12 times out of the four weeks he was there. Within the first week his glasses were lost and found the following day, and his hearing aids were lost never to be found. A large poster was placed in his room to indicate that his family would be doing his washing and no item of clothing was to be removed. Half of my partners clothes still went missing. When I complained his tooth brush was not being used as it was bone dry every morning i was told it had been recorded on his notes that his teeth had been brushed. I would never recommend this care home to anyone who wanted compassion and genuine care for their loved ones find somewhere else.

Nowhere is like home but Birkdale Tower Lodge comes as next best.

Outstanding care home. The staff are amazing. Friendly, caring and knowledgeable. The facilities are also really good. Both my parents were residents and they received such good care. I could not recommend enough.

The staff and building are exceptional and there is always something to be involved in should he wish to participate. The lodge is cleaned to a high standard and it does not feel like a traditional care home but more like a hotel on occasions.

Always found staff helpful and polite. Just problem in evening returning, no one on reception.

As a family, we cannot thank the staff enough for the care, involvement and friendship shown during his time there - I'm looking forward t a time when I can stay too!

I have had a few issues with laundry items going missing even though my name has been sewn in all items. Also could clothes by hung up or folded when back from laundry as my daughter has to tidy my clothes.

I am delighted to find myself in a residence where I am completely contented and happy. I can find no aspect that could be improved upon. The staff are tremendous and give one a great feeling of well-being.

I find communication to be excellent whenever there is a need. It is very reassuring knowing that Dad is happy and well looked after.

My father-in-law is very well looked after and happy at Birkdale Tower Lodge. The staff are absolutely lovely and so caring. He enjoys taking part in many of the activities offered. Family and friendly are always given a warm welcome.

From day one, the staff have been first-class. They food selection, the cleanliness are both faultless. My mother is a very happy person.

My mother came here initially as respite care but it quickly became apparent that the care she was receiving was beyond our expectations. All the staff have shown a fantastic, caring nature and have made her feel she is at home. I cannot fault all the staff, they are just fantastic. Birkdale Tower Lodge has taken a huge stress off our shoulders in my mother's transfer to a care home.

Great staff. They deserve a Christmas 'thank you' meal at a restaurant.

My mum was admitted to hospital with a nasty chest infection from home. It was clear that there were new needs in hospital and I needed urgent respite for my mother. I called Birkdale Tower Lodge - they assessed her the next day and agreed to her going to the Lodge immediately. This took a lot of stress away from me. My mother really enjoyed her stay and decided she did not want to go back to living independently. We are so pleased that she is very settled and happy. Thanks.

I have been at Birkdale Tower Lodge on respite care for four out of the last five weeks and have found the quality of the home, my room, the staff and the food to be very good/excellent.

My dad has been here a couple of times for respite and now is staying here permanently. I could not find a more caring, kind or better-run place for my dad to live. He is always complimentary about the care he receives and the fabulous food! I am more than happy that he lives here and couldn't want for anywhere better.
