More comfortable with some carers than others. More activities outside the home would be great Overall, a pleasant and comfortable environment. Medical requests sometimes confusing
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such open and honest feedback. A variety of views help us to continually improve the experience we provide for everyone living within our home. I have just sent you an email as I would very much appreciate the opportunity to discuss your comments...
My mum, Jean, has been a resident at St. Lauras since April 2026. The staff give wonderful care and support to her, it makes me very happy that she is cared for with such kindness, patience, dignity, and compassion. Whenever I visit St.L aura's, the staff and management always greet me with a smile and a warm hello and are always on hand to answer any questions or concerns I may have about my mum
We are thrilled you are happy with the decision you as a family made for your mum to be a permanent resident with us here at St Lauras. We value your feedback, input, suggestions and time. You work wonderfully with us to make Mums care and care plan be personalised around 'her', the love and...
All the staff and very professional, friendly and really go the extra step to help my mother feel welcomed and most importantly safe.
There are daily activities and often trips outside of the home.
It feels more like a hotel than a care home with excellent facilities.
We are pleased mum will be staying with us on a more permanent basis. We have enjoyed getting to know her and settling her into our home. Thank you for taking your time to write this review, we really appreciate your feedback. We are often referred to as a hotel, 'Hilton' - eat your heart out!
She always looks sparkly and clean and has even put some weight on which she needed to do.
It's lovely to see her engaging in activities and the staff are all very caring and kind.
It's so good to know she is in a safe environment with all her needs being met.
We understand that the decision to move your mum into full-time care was an incredibly difficult one for you and your family, so we are delighted to hear that you are happy with the care...
The staff are like one big family, excellently led by Eme. All staff work as a team and they interchange floors on a daily basis working alongside different team members. All staff were always smiling and friendly towards the residents and always gave them time. Their dedication to the job was amazing.
The activities are very well planned and varied led by charismatic staff who encourage residents to participate to keep them physically and mentally stimulated.
I was there 24//7 so saw how the home worked day and night. I cannot fault the home at all.
I am delighted that you were happy with the room...
My mother has been a resident of StLaura's for more than three years and has always received outstanding care from the staff. As she is now over 100 and requires increased support, the team continues to meet her needs with remarkable professionalism and heartfelt attentiveness. Their commitment to her wellbeing is truly appreciated
Mum, you and your lovely wife have truly been a cherished part of our family. The journey we have shared over the years has been incredibly special, and she is a remarkable woman. One hundred years filled with laughter, kindness, warmth, and a beautiful spirit that has touched so many lives. I...
I visited friends staying in St Laura's today. Having had dealings with other care homes I can only say how impressed I was. The facilities are excellent and the staff very caring and professional. It stands head and shoulders above anything else I've seen. A very well managed home with excellent staff and facilities.
It was a pleasure to have you in our home and we thoroughly appreciate your lovely feedback. We are glad we made a good impression on you and hope you will be back for more tea, coffee and company in our home!
We have always felt included in their lives at St Laura's and the wide range of activities. The menu has always been very varied, even though 'sausage Saturday' has been a mainstay.
As mum's dementia progressed, her level of care adapted as required. She passed a year ago and the staff supported Dad and the family with sensitivity and love, even hosting the reception at St Laura's.
As with any care home, staff come and go and I am pleased to see that Eme leads a team who consistently demonstrate a high level of care and professionalism.
I heartily recommend St Laura's. It demonstrates excellent value for money, a warm caring environment and an excellent home for Dad, who is 97.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a lovely review. It was an honour to be entrusted with the care of your mum and dad, and we are sincerely grateful for the confidence you placed in us when they moved. We will also remember your dear late Mum, we now focus on Dad and letting him shine....
Even when he is being tricky, he is supported sensitively. It must be difficult for him not knowing where he is several times in the day - but I am reassured knowing that he is safe and well cared for.
Getting to know each...
So glad we found St Laura's - this is an incredible care home . All the staff really do care . The staff are constantly helping and interacting with the residents. The needs of the residents are met consistently and they are stimulated and engaged leaving everyone feeling happy, busy and fulfilled. It is a lovely positive welcoming environment. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and I always look forward to visiting . Lovely food and drink is always available. I feel so happy that I found this wonderful place for mum .

A heartfelt thank you to Eme, Claire & Angela for making Mum feel welcome and valued.
Their confidence in supporting residents through different stages of dementia gives me real reassurance that she could remain there long-term as her needs progress.
In what has been a very difficult journey, St Laura's gave us hope. I would highly recommend contacting St Laura's if you are looking for the very best care home for your loved one.

I asked for a cup of tea which came in a couple of minutes and every member of staff I encountered could not do enough to help me during the couple of hours I spent there.
Well done everyone
Kind regards
Tony

I hope the cup of tea was made to your liking and that you got a biscuit to go with...
From Spring of 2025 it was clear that mum (94) could no longer cope at home. I began to look at care homes and found St Laura's on a friends recommendation. His mother has been a resident for 3 years. I visited and was very impressed with the manager and staff. After a stay in hospital after yet another fall mum was transferred directly to St Laura's. It's only been a few weeks but I've been very impressed. All the staff seem very caring and go out of their ay to treat the residents as individuals. Mum has been involved in lots of activities photos of which often appear on the homes social media page. All in all I'm delighted with how the first few weeks have gone.
My mum has been a resident at St Laura's for 18 months. She has dementia and spent the first year on the top floor before her dementia deteriorated and was moved to more specialist care on the middle floor. The staff at St Laura's are so caring, fun and respectful of my mum's wishes. Her LPA is adhered to and they communicate with me really well. Mum is safe, and well cared for. St Laura's staff create a kind and friendly atmosphere and do activities with mum that are appropriate to her needs. Eme the manager is very approachable and is a great advocate for mum and staff. I'm so glad mum is living here. Although it is sad to see my mum living with advanced dementia, St Laura's is the best place for mum to be.
We are truly thrilled with this review and it is great to be able to share this with the team. We thank you for trusting our judgements and working closely with us over the past year and a half to make the move within the home for Mum smooth and positive. We value your support in us as a home and...
What really sets St Laura's apart is the dedication of the staff. They are consistently friendly, kind, and genuinely caring, creating a safe, home-from-home atmosphere where respect for older people is at the heart of everything. Families can feel reassured that their loved ones are not only well cared for but also treated with dignity and compassion.
Overall, St Laura's combines excellent professional support with a warm community spirit, making it a wonderful place for my mother
Thank you for your wonderful review and thoughts on St Lauras we value your thoughts and feedback on our home and the care your mother receives. It is most important to us that our homes cleanliness and appearance is too the highest of standard and fitting for all care needs to be met. Our staffs...
The hygiene and cleanliness standards are very high at St Lauras. A special mention must go to members of staff and of course none of the above would be possible without the leadership from St Lauras Manager.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your lovely words. It has been a pleasure to have her here with us and watching her familiarise herself with the team and other residents, even calling it 'home' the other day. Mum has brought many laughs, fun and games to our home and we are thankful to...
From the first moment I contacted St .Laura's, my family and I have received first class personal service and communication from the Manager. The manager has gone over and above to ensure the placement of this resident and their approach to his care has been entirely based around his particular needs, personality, likes and dislikes. Staff are available to discuss any issues and his placement there is going very well. Understanding the need for different approaches to different individuals is first and foremost.
Wow, what a complimentary review to us as a home. Your loved ones admission into St Lauras has been a extra special one, from the phone call from enquiry to now - it has been a journey and a lovely one at that. Seeing your loved one on their dementia journey has understandably been a challenge and...
Sr Laura's has been such a breath of fresh air for our Mum, the atmosphere is positive and kind. Every single member of staff is welcoming and warm. There always seems to be a smile and activities happening. The place is so well managed by the manager and standards are very high regarding cleanliness and systems . Mums support has been so wonderful. Carer and her team have made sure she has felt safe and welcomed not to mention trying so hard to improve her quality of life. There are so many thoughtful touches to the place . Mum feels really settled.
Caring for your Mum has been a delight over the past few weeks. I am so pleased our paths crossed and you chose to move her into our care and of course thankful you put your trust into me and my amazing team to care for her. Mum has brought us a barrel of laughs and has certainly put her own stamp...
My husband stayed for nine days (respite care). It was his second visit and he was warmly welcomed by the manager and two carers. His room was spotlessly clean and when I collected him, all his clothes were freshly laundered. All the residents look happy and content and trips out are regularly arranged. They seem to be kept busy but the atmosphere is relaxed. When I collected him, he didn't seem to want to come home!
It was again the upmost of pleasures to have your wonderful Husband stay with us, we already look forward to his next stay here at St Lauras. We hope you enjoyed your holiday, especially knowing that he was in safe hands. Remember to come back to join in with any of our activities and to have...

Meet the Team (1)

I started my career within the care sector at the age of just 19. I have undertaken almost every role within a home - from Domestic and Kitchen Assistant, to Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant and Engagement Lead. Through doing so, this has cultivated my storied success, as well as my appointment to Home Manager at St Lauras Care Home in Kings Langley. From this, and as I tell all of my staff, there are no limits to progression: from responsibility and personal development, to training and further education - I empower the people around me to be the very best that they can be, regardless of their age, health or confidence. And by doing so, they in turn deliver the exceptional care that the home continues to pride itself on.
At St Lauras, the highest standards of care, kindness, compassion, empathy, and person-centred values are at the heart of all we do. With open arms, we welcome you to join our ever-growing family.
