Overall Experience

The staff have been extremely helpful in helping get my mother into the home at very short notice. I can't, unfortunately, give a first-hand report on the home as unable to visit due to the control measures for Coronavirus. However, from what I've seen on the website and facetime sessions, it looks fantastic, and can't wait to visit once restrictions are lifted. My mum seems to be settling well. Thank you all.

Overall Experience

During dealing with the staff at the care home, I found them to be: friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. What struck me was the understanding and importantly for me the transparency of what would have been a difficult process. The home, though it was in the final stages of completion, had excellent facilities and would be clearly a comfortable place for my uncle to stay.

Meet the Team (1)

Roxanne Walsh
Roxanne WalshJob Title Home Manager

Before becoming a Manager, I was a deputy manager at Deewater Grange, and before this, I was a unit manager and a carer. I was keen to develop professionally, so I jumped at the chance when I was offered the opportunity to progress.

Working in my role, you need to be approachable, understanding, empathetic and patient. What we do here is important; seeing residents happy and fulfilled is a constant reminder of this. We all work together, and it makes me proud to be part of a team that provides great care.

I chose to join Care UK for the extra attention to detail it provides. As well as building purpose-built homes, they provide all the support needed to ensure residents (and colleagues) have an environment and lifestyle in which they thrive.

My life outside of work revolves around dogs, dogs, and more dogs! My idea of perfect downtime is finding a dog-friendly café. I also enjoy catching up with family and friends over meals.
