All staff are very friendly, considerate and appear very caring. Lovely to see the spontaneous interaction with residents when they meet them un-expectedly.
Thank you for your review. It is always lovely for our staff to know their hard work is noted and appreciated by others, and I am so glad our home is meeting your parents need and expectations. We continue to strive for excellence for all our residents and in turn their families.
My mother receives all the care and attention I could ask for. Help is on hand at the touch of a button. Always something going on. All the other residents engage and are happy to chat and say hello. Staff always happy to help! Would be happy to recommend Avery Park to others.
What a lovely review Neil! we thrive on the interactions our residents have with both the staff and each other - it is really heart-warming to see. We are pleased Avery Park would be the place you recommend to others so thank you.
Happy with the care my mum receives. More clarity of medication required for Mum?
Hi Sean. I am so glad you're happy with the care we are providing your mum, she is such a lovely lady. Regarding your medication query, the Senior who looks after mum will be able to help you and/or signpost someone who can discuss this in detail with you, please just ask next time you are visiting mum.
A good experience. Staff are lovely
Thanks Paul, the residents happiness and well-being are our priority. It means so much to us that it is recognised by families and visitors to Avery Park.
My stay here has been very enjoyable and I would happily come here for respite care again in the future if the need arises.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I am pleased your stay with us was so enjoyable and the staff looked after you so well. We would very much welcome your return here in the future.
Management - to make a comment was difficult as there have been at least 5 different managers in my time here (autumn 2021 - summer 2026)
Thank you for your review and taking the time to post Diana. I am pleased your continued stay is to your satisfaction and that Avery Park is meeting your expectations. There have been several managers/interim managers in the last few years, that is not something I am able to comment on, as I have...
I have helped to Care for my neighbour (service user) for the last 6yrs. When she came into Avery I was very pleased for her. The home is second to none. Very clean, staff very attentive, food is excellent, with a very good choice of menu. All staff are attentive and ensure fluids are given. Various activities every day, which enable people to remain active and integrated
Thank you for your lovely review Carol. I am so pleased everything at Avery Park met your expectations in regards to our care for your friend. We do have a beautiful home and amazing staff - your recognition of this makes me, as manager, so proud. I will ensure that I pass on your comments to all our staff including our Head Chef.
I have been here on a three week total respite as recommended following hospital stay & operation. I have been wonderfully looked after by staff during the day & also at night. They have all been marvellous. I could not have been better looked after anywhere from staff are kind, caring, attentive, and always ready to care for you should you need some extra help. I am home then delighted I chose to stay here. I cannot comment on management as I didn't see any of them during my stay and no one at that level ever checked on me.
Thank you so much Ann for your kind words regarding the care you received during your stay and for your lovely comments about our wonderful staff. It really means a great deal to us to know that you felt well cared for and enjoyed your time here. I also wanted to explain why you may not have seen...

Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt review. It means the world to our team to know that your dad has felt truly at home and cared for during his time with us. We're delighted that the move to the nursing floor was smooth and reassuring for you all, and that our staff's dedication has...
Since our dad came into Avery we never have had to worry about him in the slightest. Staff are kind and completely caring to him. Going above and beyond at times. Management are always willing to listen and are kind and approachable. The whole atmosphere is great with wonderful surroundings.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do a review. We are so pleased you are happy with the staff and the care received. It is good to hear you are happy with the environment and we strive to give the homely, comfortable feel and glad this is recognised and felt. Thanks again
Over the past few months Dads advancing dementia and other health concerns meant that he moved into the nursing wing at the home, where the support and care given to him was tremendous. Dad returned to Avery Park after a hospital stay for his last days, where the support, dignity and care given to him (and us as a family) by the Nursing Team 24/7 was absolutely exceptional.
Thank you for the lovely review and your kind words. It was an absolute privilege to have cared for Dad and we will all miss him dearly.
The home is beautiful and can't be faulted. The care staff seem to be well informed and communicate well with the residents. Initially, I felt I needed to understand the systems better, but no problems now I've worked it out! The atmosphere in the home is very good, it feels like a hotel.
Thank you for the great review. You opinion is greatly appreciated. Please do not hesitate to come and see me should you have any further questions about any systems.
Avery Park is the best care home in the area and would recommend it to anyone suitable.
Very pleasant and caring environment, with attentive and helpful staff. All questions are answered and they know all about my auntie. Thanks.
Thank you for the excellent review. It's a pleasure to care for your aunt, and I hope that you, as a family, are happy with the care provided.
My mum has been at Avery Park Care Home for two and a half years. The hospital made the care decision for us, as Mum was no longer safe at home. She had liked the look of Avery Park from the outside from when it opened, so it was the first place I checked out. It was the perfect choice for us. From the moment I stepped through the door I was impressed. The staff, care and facilities are great. The whole family are welcomed and it is the happiest and most content Mum has been for years!
Thank you for the excellent review. Mum is a wonderful lady, and it is a pleasure to know and care for her.
Mum moved to Avery Park Care Home in October 2024. She has been very happy here. The staff are all very caring and friendly. The place is always very clean and tidy and all the staff work very hard. The food is excellent and Mum is enjoying the activities. We have peace of mind that Mum is safe, secure and most importantly cared for well.
Thank you for the excellent review. It is a pleasure getting to know and care for mum.
Mum has been in Avery for over 2 years and has recently moved to the nursing floor, where communication of Mum's needs could be better. Overall happy with Avery and the staff.
Thank you for your review and for raising your concern. Following discussions, this is now resolved. I hope Mum continues to remain happy within Avery Park.
Dad has lived here for approximately 9 months and I have nothing but good things to say about Avery Park Care Home. All the carers and management are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. Dad's behaviour can be challenging at times but they manage it remarkably well and always listen to his needs. I recommend Avery for anybody's loved ones.
Thank you for the amazing review. Dad is a remarkable man and the staff all love caring for him and its a pleasure to have the opportunity to support him. We are glad you as a family are pleased with the care provided to him.
The staff/carers' experience and competency is quite varied. There are some very good staff in the building but also some who seem under-trained or in some cases ill-suited for the role. Frustratingly if I ask a carer for something that isn't immediate I am told that they will report back or find the right member of staff but almost without exception, nothing happens and I have to chase. The most recent example - I asked six times over the course of 3 days for my power chair to be charged, which I'm no longer permitted to do myself.
Thank you for the review. It's always great to see these from residents who are at the heart of the home. Unfortunately, the issue raised with regards to the charging of chairs is unavoidable due to fire regulations, but a resolve and agreement has been met. Please do continue to come and see me should you have any further questions.
Dad has dementia and is looked after very well here. It is always immaculate and clean.
Thank you for the excellent review. Dad is an amazing man, and it is a pleasure to care for him. It's great to hear that the family are happy with the care provided.
