I would just like to say that a particular member of staff at Avery Park has been an absolute star, she has helped us so much with getting my father into a safe and progressive care home and I will be forever thankful.
He can be a bit of a nightmare but even though he has only been there a small amount
of time he is already improving.
The staff are so polite and helpful, I would fully recommend Avery Park.

Mum has settled very well and is noticeably happier and healthier than she was before she moved in. Almost a surprise to us all as she was keen to stay in her own home and was not expecting to enjoy it here as much as she has. It's now become her home and she is enjoying living here very much.

My grandad is looked after as if he was living with relatives. The staff care for him so well, and we never have any concerns about him being at Avery. All of his needs are met, and we, as a family, are listened to. He is always clean, and we are always kept up to date with what is happening.

Lovely Building and furnishing. Unfortunately, the care in the dementia unit was appalling.
Staff constantly around the care station and not with clients in the Lounge.
Mum had numerous falls despite being on safeguarding. After one fall my sister-in-law arrived and asked for the first aid kit only
to be told they didn't know where it was. Paramedics and Doctors at the hospital both put in Safeguarding issues to QCC about her care. Dad was left for 5 hours after we told them the bed was wet and it took us to go back to check and for us to insist it was done whilst we were there. Luckily we got him moved and although he passed away in peace a week later it was the best week of care he had. Overall I think Avery Kettering is designed for elderly and infirm residents but does not really want demintia residents.

Having to find a permanent residence for my mother could have been a very stressful situation (especially as she was placed in an emergency placement some distance away) but the entire team at Avery Park Care Home were amazing. From getting her in, settled and her needs assessed was done with professionalism
but also extreme kindness. The warmth and atmosphere are just wonderful.

Since Mum moved into Avery Park, she has been very happy. Staff are very well trained and manage to be kind, supportive and helpful whilst encouraging as much independence as possible. There is a high commitment to residents' safety and care. The home has an atmosphere of happiness and care. Nothing
is too much trouble for the staff who seem to enjoy working together and interacting with residents. This is a place you come to live even as you get older.

Avery Park is very friendly and has been so kind during a very difficult time. The standard of care has been second to none, treating my grandfather with the utmost respect and dignity, which being a 96-year-old man with Alzheimer's really is difficult, however, the carers on Boughton suite have been

Dad is very happy at the home. In fact, happier than he has been for years. He particularly loves the entrainment team. The place is like a five-star hotel, and we are very happy with him living here. If the kitchen had an air fryer to cook some healthy chips, an alternative option for lunch could happen,
eg ham, egg and chips or scampi and chips.

Mum has been here, on the memory floor, for ten months. Avery Park is a fantastic care home, always warm and welcoming, and the staff are so friendly and caring. Mum has Alzheimer's and was living alone until her move here, and without a doubt, her quality of life has vastly improved; she is stimulated,
enjoying all activities on offer, and says the food is delicious. I can't recommend Avery Park enough - such a huge relief to know Mum is safe, happy and so well cared for.

A more informative review will be in a diary/book that I am keeping. Generally, I am very pleased with most aspects of being an Avery resident and very happy. One or two residents are causing me concern as they are determined to look on the black side and it is giving a bad impression to newcomers.
I live in hope they may be separated or moved before their attitude lowers my enjoyment. Fingers crossed.

Mum moved into Avery Park Care Home on 1st September because of mobility issues. She loves her life there - just like being on a cruise ship or in a luxury hotel! She spends little time in her room - she goes to the dining room for all her meals and joins in with most of the activities - lingo, countdown,
carpet bowls, quizzes etc. Although she would have liked a guide when she first became a resident eg what to do with her laundry, what time meals were etc, she now feels totally at home and we hope she'll have many more happy years there.

My Dad has been living at Avery Park since July. He's so happy being there and can't speak highly enough about how great the staff and facilities are. He loves the banter he has with his carers, who make a point of popping in for a chat with him; whenever their duties allow. In the last few weeks, he's
been asked to be involved in recruitment interviews, which is a fantastic idea and has really given him a sense of worth and purpose. As a family, it's so reassuring that, after the acceptance that he is unable to live independently at home, Dad has settled into Avery Park so well and we'd like to thank all the staff for making this possible.

Avery Park has a very professional approach to all aspects of care yet provides a home that is comforting and delivers care with dignity, compassion and understanding on all levels. Visitors are welcomed like 'good friends' and made to feel comfortable and 'at home'. All staff are very friendly, polite

Leander Pyke

My Name Is Leander and I am lucky enough to hold the position of Home Manager at Avery Park. I have been working at Avery Park since November 2021 and am a self-confessed ‘work-acholic’. I pride myself on doing my very best to ensure the safety and happiness of all residents, staff and visitors. Working with the elderly is both rewarding and humbling and I am proud to be part of such an amazing team that all have such great values and ambitions.


My Job is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home and that the residents receive outstanding and person-centred care. Caring for and supporting others is not just a job it’s a privilege.

Cassey Slough

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2022

I joined Avery Park in August 2022 as a Senior carer. I was soon promoted to Trainer for the entire home, providing a large portfolio of courses to all the care, housekeeping, kitchen, sales and administration staff.


The training at Avery Park is extensive so I delivered many courses including Health and Safety Awareness, Infection Prevention and Control and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, to name just a few.


I am NVQ level 3 qualified in adult and social care, I am fully trained in Basic life support and manual handling. I have an I.T. diploma and a business level 2 and I have worked in the care industry for 7 years mainly in senior management roles.


My role as Deputy Manager at Park is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home. It is my duty to ensure that each staff member follows current policies and procedures while maintaining person-centred care throughout the home.

Hello, my name is Lynette and I am the Customer Service Manager at Avery Park.


I have a degree in History and a Diploma in Marketing and has been with Avery since February 2022. I have had many years of experience in providing excellent customer service in a wide range of industries but I have never been more honoured to provide outstanding customer service to the families of Avery Park.


'Families and residents are going through an extremely emotional time, facing one of the toughest decisions of their lives. It is imperative that their experience is supportive and responsive. Anything less is not acceptable.

Job Title: Hotel Service Manager

Hello everyone….
My name is Rajwinder known as Raj. I am the hotel services manager here at Avery Park Care Home.


I have been employed at Avery Park since the opening day in February 2021. My role is to ensure our home is looking presentable and looking lovely and fresh.


I lead my team by example, ensuring the home is kept to high standards.


We all work together as a big team at Avery Park across all departments, I love working here, getting to meet the amazing individuals that work and reside here, getting to know them and supporting them in their care day to day, is very rewarding.

Job Title: Head Chef

Hi, my name is Alex and I am the Head Chef here at Avery Park. I started with the company in 2011 and have enjoyed every moment of it. Whilst with the company, I had achieved my level 3 food safety qualification.


I am always aiming for 100% satisfaction for our residents offering them a wide variety of meal choices. The dishes we provide are well-balanced and highly nutritional. I enjoy baking and making birthday cakes for each of our residents, seeing the amazing smiles on their faces is priceless!


Here at Avery Park, we pride ourselves on helping each other to provide the best service that we can. Recently, I took the Mini Bus driving course so I can help with trip-outs for the residents.

Job Title: Customer Service Assistant

Hello,
My name is Michelle and as of March this year, I am employed at our beautiful home, Avery Park, as a CSA.


Previous to this I was a care assistant for 6 years. I am really enjoying my new role and love meeting and greeting both family and professionals in our home.


I learn something new every day and am growing in confidence all the time.


I support our CSM and administrator with enquiries, show rounds and welcoming visitors, among other tasks. I think that the best part of my job is being able to interact with all our residents, they are wonderful.

My name is Tina, I was employed at Avery Park Care Home at the end of October 2022, as a senior Carer, I now currently doing a Dual Role, But my main Role at Avery Park is a CSA, I work alongside the CSM and the Administrator, with Enquiries and love to do the Show-rounds.


I feel that my knowledge and experience as a qualified nurse and a Senior Carer help with Questions that may be asked on show rounds.


I really enjoy my Role as a CSA, as I love to interact with Family members, Residents and Professionals.

Job Title: Commis Chef Joined: 2021

Hello, my name is Cameron and I am a chef here at Avery Park care home Kettering. I have been with Avery Healthcare for over 2 years now and started my career in the company as a kitchen assistant and progressed to chef.


I studied catering & hospitality at Tresham College after I finished school at the age of 16 and spent 2 years at college whilst working part-time in a kitchen.


Within my job, I help assist the chefs in preparing and cooking delicious and nutritional meals for our residents to enjoy every day. I also help support other areas of the kitchen when the extra support is needed. I am always curious to learn new ideas and skills every day to progress and help support those around me.

Job Title: Sous Chef Joined: 2023

Hello, My name is Shirley and I am the Sous Chef at Avery Park.


I have only been working with the company for 4 months however I fell in love with a job on my first day.
I have 20-plus years of experience in the hospitality industry, owning my own catering business for many of them.


My job is to prepare delicious meals for all the residents to enjoy and to support Alex our head chef as and when needed.


I also give support to all the kitchen staff as part of my role.
