My mum has lived at Cadley Hill View for 18 months now and throughout this time, Cadley has maintained excellent standards of care, kindness and compassion. The entire home is kept spotlessly clean, meals are consistently very good and there is always so much to do for those who wish to take advantage
of the activities. All staff at Cadley are so pleasant, caring and respectful towards both residents and their families. My mother has received excellent care at the home and her dignity is always maintained. As a family, we feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful place for her to live now that she can no longer live in her own home.

My mum stayed at Cadley Hill View in September. She was very apprehensive to stay but as soon as she walked into her room she was overwhelmed, she loved the room. Everyone was very helpful and caring. She settled in very well, she was that comfy she wanted to stay another week. I would definitely recommend
this care home.
Reply from Clare Sheehan, Careline Advisor at Cadley Hill ViewWe'd like to extend our thanks for your kind words following your mum's short care break with us at Cadley Hill View care home. Dad, who has Parkinson's disease had to go into care temporarily for respite care. The circumstances behind the need for Dad to go into care were quite complex. Everyone that I encountered at the home was so supportive, understanding, and caring. Dad was initially in another home for a few weeks and
I can not say how different the two experiences were. I would say wipe any thoughts of what you imagine a care home to be as Cadley Hill does not feel like a 'care home' it feels more like 'home from home'. The care team are all absolutely amazing! You can see how much they care about the residents and also their families. Everything is centred around the person not what is easier for the staff. It is spotlessly clean and I never encountered any 'funny smells' Dad said that he loved all of his freshly cooked meals. The package is all-inclusive, so there are no hidden fees. Dad enjoyed the many activities too. Put it this way if Carlsberg did care homes then Cadley Hill is it! Thank you all.

Thank you for being there for my Gran in her final days. Making sure she had her very hot cup of tea and hot homemade soup.
For holding her hands in between our visits and for holding ours when we needed it!
Her room was beautiful and the food was fabulous.

Cadley Hill is more like a five-star hotel but much more homely. The staff are so welcoming and residents and staff are all happy. My Aunty is back to her old self since moving in there. Always lots going on too! Just how care should be.

In appearance, the home is more like a lovely hotel, but the staff make it the most homely of places, all guests are treated with dignity and respect, they are given choices and allowed to keep their independence, where possible. There is always plenty to do to keep occupied. Mum has improved greatly
since staying here. The all inclusive fee makes life easier and means that you don't worry about having to pay extra for the little luxuries of life.

Mum has been at Cadley since December 2023 and although initially reluctant about moving in, she now loves it and is forever praising the staff, the facilities, and the food! Cadley has given Mum her life back and from a home where she had a very limited social life, she is now surrounded by like-minded
people and she is mixing more and more. The staff are wonderful, caring, enthusiastic, and sharing - and they make Cadley successful. Long may it continue!

Mum has been here for almost 18 months. The care is amazing, the staff are superb and the home is very welcoming to all. My family and I are regular visitors at all times of the day and consider a lot of the staff as an extended family now as they are so caring to Mum and considerate of her needs. Mum
is safe, happy, and loved what more can I ask for?

I am so happy that my Mum is being looked after by the wonderful staff at Cadley. My Mum came to Cadley at the beginning of March and the staff made such a big effort to help her settle in. It is such an emotional and scary thing leaving your home for the last time and moving to a new and strange environment
but right from the very first moment the friendliness and caring attitude of everyone in the home was so reassuring. My Mum has settled in and is joining in some of the many activities organised by the Pink Ladies (not the apples by the way). I live in Australia and as well as being able to speak to her on the phone I can also see my Mum through the social media page that has new photos posted most days and it makes me feel even more part of what's going on. I love seeing her face pop up, usually smiling doing things she would never be doing before. Our family is very lucky that Cadley is taking care of Mum. Thank you.

We cannot fault Cadley Hill View. The staff are amazing, friendly, understanding and compassionate to both our father and to myself and my sister. The speed at which the home could accept our father for respite care was exceptional and it was a relief at how much he loved staying with you. Thank you
so much.

I am very happy with Cadley Hill View and my mum has settled in very well. I do however have a suggestion, there appear no 'set procedures' for doing things e.g Mum was on a fluid cap and different staff operated different systems which confused/worried Mum. She was unclear whether the water left in
her jug was the total allowance still permissible. Surely there should be one procedure for handling this rather than each team/person operating their own preferred system.

Before considering Cadley Hill View we looked around and it was by far the best in terms of providing an environment that felt homely for my mother-in-law. Since moving her in, on a two-week respite trial, the staff have all worked hard to help her acclimatise and make her feel she's at a home away
from home.

My father has been at Cadley Hill View for over a year now. In all that time the staff have been excellent and very friendly, making time to initially settle him in and now make sure he has everything he needs and is happy. He enjoys the quizzes, bingo and singers and especially enjoys wild minds (exercise).
The staff are also friendly and helpful to myself and other family members and I do feel that there is a lovely family, happy feel to Cadley Hill View.

I have been to visit my friend today and what a lovely care this is. From the minute you walk through the door, to the end of the visit it is amazing. The staff are so friendly, I am not old enough yet (65, haha) but this is where I would love my son's to send me to make this my last home.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.823)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.823) out of 10 for Cadley Hill View is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 42 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 41 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.823 for Cadley Hill View is calculated as follows: ( (430 Excellents x 5) + (47 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) + (5 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 491 Ratings = 4.823
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cadley Hill View is based on 41 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 41 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
