My father and I arranged to visit Cuttlebrook Hall and the staff could not have be more welcoming and helpful. We were shown around the facilities, shown the styles of room, and meet current residents. The brochures we took away were also helpful. Particularly the summary sheets. Having decided that
he wanted to leave his independent living in his own home, my father was keen to move quickly and not sit in limbo. Cuttlebrook Hall facilitated his quick admission and one staff member in particular spent one on one time helping my father right from day one. It is a very big change for my father. He is settling in and when I phone him I get a consistent 'the staff are lovely and the food is lovely'. He loves his food, and also the doggie visitors. I had to leave him to return to my home in Ireland. My calls since with the management have been both constructive and very caring. All the staff I met, from the youngest to the oldest, were kind and caring. Cuttlebrook Hall has given me peace of mind.

My mum arrived at Cuttlebrook Hall to such a friendly, warm and welcoming group of staff, which was simply wonderful.
The care my mum has received has been absolutely first rate from carers, activity coordinators, chefs, housekeeping and administrative staff.
No matter what anyone’s role, it would
appear at Cuttlebrook Hall that everyone pulls together to include the residents and help in any way they can.
The building and facilities are lovely and I feel so much less anxious myself, knowing that my mum is safe and being well looked after by such a kind and caring group of people.
Visitors are welcomed any time and the staff make a great effort to get to know us also! As well as always being on hand to discuss anything as and when the need arises.
All in all, Cuttlebrook Hall is proving to be a great success and I hope that it takes off and that they continue to provide the care and atmosphere that they are achieving so far.

My mother-in-law was one of the first residents admitted to the home. From our first contact to the present, all the staff have been so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Already there are activities in the home and I am sure that as more residents arrive the programme will increase.
There is always fresh cakes tea/coffee available in the cafe in the reception area. The weather has not been great but every resident on the ground floor has their own patio with furniture which my mother-in-law will love in the spring. My mother-in-law was admitted for a month's respite but within 10 days has decided to make Cuttlebrook her permanent home.

I have management experience in both residential and nursing homes.


As a manager you need to be caring, have a great amount of patience and resilience to any obstacles that come up. It is important to have good communication with your team and show compassion to the people we provide care for.


My favourite part of each day is in the afternoon when everyone is calm and relaxed and I can take time to chat to residents and ask about their day.
