Mum first moved to Kingfishers for respite care but has since become a permanent resident. From our initial enquiry through to the time she moved in, communications have been excellent. Mum is actively encouraged to get involved and is a regular participant in the craft room and on organised day trips out to local attractions which she loves. The friendliness and gentleness of staff, high quality of care and the feeling of 'being home' are so appreciated by us all. Dogs are welcomed which Mum loves. The activities team offer a great programme of themed events throughout the month. The garden is a particular feature and is a suntrap as well as being beautifully maintained for all to enjoy. The food is varied, nutritious and delicious with guests welcome. We are kept updated of Mum's health on a regular basis. Our Mum was 90 in April and we were able to invite her friends in to Kingfishers to celebrate. We really can't sing Kingfishers praises highly enough. It is a very special place.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're glad your mother feels so at home at Kingfishers, and that the team's care, communication, activities and welcoming environment continue to bring reassurance to your family.
I feel at home here. My husband lived out his life here, I was delighted with the care and attention. I hope to be able to stay here for the rest of my life. I am very happy here.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're so pleased to hear you feel at home at Kingfishers, and that the care and attention your husband received meant so much to you both.
Deciding to hand over our mum's care was incredibly difficult but we've been delighted with Kingfishers. The care team are so patient and take their time to ensure they understand mum's needs and we feel comfortable asking questions about her care. The warm and welcoming atmosphere makes visits feel like home and we're finally at ease knowing our mum is safe and well cared for.

I have been a resident of Kingfishers for five months following a stay of three months in 2024. All the time I have been here I have felt safe and secure and well cared for. The whole home feels like a very well-run ship in which the teams all work well together and are always willing to help.

Realising your loved one can no longer live independently in their own home is a harsh reality and so many emotions are laid bare for all. There are anxieties and questions, doubts and tears. So, to be welcomed into Kingfishers, filled with positivity and friendly faces, staff who are never too busy to listen, and who treat you and your love one with kindness and respect, has been honestly just such a relief. Mum has a beautifully light appointed room, which is always spotlessly clean, and a list of relatable activities should she wish to leave the comfort of it. Family who have visited have nothing but praise either. Thank you!

The care my relative received was outstanding from my first contact with the home to the exceptional care delivered until the end. The attention to detail, the delicious varied menu, the beautiful surroundings both inside and out. The kindness and personal centred support, treating my relative with dignity and respect at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

A very welcome and caring friendly atmosphere and very high standard kept throughout the home regarding what your positions are. Plenty of activities to keep their minds and bodies active. And also make family members very welcome

The care and compassion shown by the entire team at Kingfishers is nothing short of outstanding. My mother was treated with kindness during the 6 years she spent in the home. My sister and I also grew to love the staff who we got to know well over the years. Cannot recommend highly enough; simply wonderful!
I cannot rate Kingfishers highly enough. The care my mother received in all 6 years of her stay here was second to none. From manager, nursing staff, carers, admins, companions, my mother was treated with kindness and respect. I live overseas so I was sad not to visit more often, but the staff at Kingfishers made her and myself feel like family. In death she and myself were treated with utmost care and respect. A definite home away from home.

From the first contact moment, I was extremely happy with all aspects of my mother's short term care. Every member of staff is super friendly and caring and I felt she was in a happy environment.
The food was excellent - especially the soups in the evening. Also, all the carers & staff, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

I have been here for four weeks and the home, staff, food and cleanliness is excellent. Everyone most welcomes my family and friends when they visit and are very impressed with everything and the care and attention that I receive. My family join me for lunch somdays and the food is excellent.
I cannot praise Kingfisher's Nursing Home enough, they are the kindest most loving group of people you could wish to meet. My husband was a resident for a short while before he passed away but the care was wonderful. Since he died they have been my lifeline, I have been welcomed back to do some gardening and often sit on the patio with many happy residents enjoying the sun and cake. Everyone there are so happy is is a pleasure to walk through the door. Outstanding they are. I cannot recommend the home enough.

The Kingfisher answers all my needs. I am 94 and am very grateful for the kindness and help I get from all the staff. I feel safe and happy. There is always some activity going on morning and afternoon, should I want it. Also the wonderful mini bus, the good food and lovely gardens. Thank you Kingfisher.
