Lovely day starting with trip in the minibus to Hythe where we joined a specially adapted boat to take about 8 residents on a trip up Southampton Water and the Hamble River. The voluntary crew served tea and biscuits and went among the residents chatting. There was also a commentary as we went along pointing out places of interest. On our way back a lunch was provided which we ate at Hatchet Pond. A really lovely day which I think everyone enjoyed. Very well organised.
I enjoy the activities here. The garden is beautiful. We are very lucky to be in this home. The staff are very friendly and all very helpful.
I feel very much at home here.
My daughter came and she loved it as much as I did.
I enjoyed it very much.
I'm looking forward to doing it again.
I enjoy watching the dog that we share and all love them.
This is my forever home now.
We are visiting from Australia and have been very favourably impressed with the friendliness of staff and quality of care we have witnessed. A lot of effort goes in to providing a good range of entertainment for the residents. On a few occasions we have had lunch in the dining room and have been impressed with the quality and variety of food. We were here for the 100th birthday celebration of our mum and were delighted with the effort gone to by all members of staff. Decorations, food, drink and a beautiful birthday cake were provided by Kingfisher for the occasion. She was also presented with a lovely bouquet of flowers. Catering staff are very accommodating in responding to individual requests.
Very positive experience for us as a family and for my sister.
This is a very positive "can do" place.
Thank you for everything.
Celebration of life celebration. Congratulations on a wonderful afternoon. Very helpful.
The ambience is excellent, a very happy atmosphere and the staff are very good.
All activities are of a good standard.
We brought my father here firstly for two-week respite and he ended up staying because he liked it so much. Of course, as a visitor I don't get to see the day to day running of the home but whenever I call I am so impressed by the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the contemporary environment and my father's repeated comments about how happy he is. There are always lots of activities going on. I know if I can't get to see my father that he is kept entertained, is not lonely and is cared for to a very high standard.
She was unable to care for herself at home anymore. The staff are lovely and very caring. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Mum was very happy and knowing she was safe and so well looked after was a weight off my shoulders.
Unfortunately, Mum passed away recently, the carers at Kingfishers have been amazing and very kind and caring.
We had a lovely sympathy card from them with lovely thoughtful words written in. Very comforting.
Very welcoming, friendly staff.
She is well cared for and the home is always spotlessly clean as is my mother.
Very impressed with the care given to mum by nurses and carers. They take the time to explain things to us and everyone is always happy and friendly.
My sister has been a resident there for over a year and even in the most trying circumstances, she has been treated with great kindness and courtesy. The food is excellent and plentiful. The accommodation is of an extremely high standard and always kept very clean. The staff are very helpful, polite and kind. I could not be more delighted that my sister is a resident at Kingfishers.
Activities are excellent. Food served was just fine. My room is very good.
Overall, it is very good.
Very friendly caring staff always pleased to help and do everything possible to make my mother happy and comfortable
Very Good.
I would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Kingfishers and head office at Coltencare for all the support that they have given to my mother and myself over a recent difficult period which, with thanks to their care and attention, had a happy ending. I highly recommend Kingfishers as a nursing home to anyone looking for caring and professional staff. In addition, Kingfishers has a varied daily programme of activities to suit everyone's interests. My mother especially enjoys the regular music sessions and going out in the beautiful garden. We couldn't have chosen a better home!
Thanks also for the accompaniment of seats and staff. A good time was had by all.
