My grandad has really come out of his shell since being at the home. He socialises and loves the staff. We cannot thank them enough.
Red nose day was a good laugh, one of the carers was such a good sport bless her, all the girls mad a good effort and looked great, the manager included will always be remembered.
My friend had excellent care and all her needs extremely well cared for in the final months of her life. She was very happy and contented prior to the final stages of her life and received excellent care and attention from all the staff. The nursing team were extremely kind and vigilant in her final weeks and splendid palliative care in place towards the end. Even though not an immediate relative I was regularly informed of my friend's condition and every time I spoke to my friend she couldn't sing the staff praises loud enough! Thanks to all and very reassuring to know she was happy.
Thank you Colten care for continued excellent care of my sister.
I have a beautiful birthday cake. The staff greeted me and sang happy birthday. I am so pleased it was excellent. My son and daughter-in-law joined in too. Very happy. The staff are very friendly and kind.
A very good home.
The staff are very pleasant, everybody being helpful. I enjoyed my stay here. I came for respite and I've been well looked after. Highly recommend this home. This was my second time coming here to Kingfishers.
Everything and everyone (Staff) = Excellent!
My Mum absolutely loved the panto. They went on a minibus to watch the amazing pantomime in New Milton Memorial Centre with other residents. She was very pleased and happy.
My 60-year-old wife was in the last stages of ovarian cancer. She arrived at Kingfishers in May 2016 and died on 29th July. From the start, she received first class care in excellent surroundings. The staff delivered personal care in a very professional manner but still maintained a happy, cheerful atmosphere. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they included me in their loving care. Their support has helped me through this difficult time and I cannot praise the home highly enough!
This is my third visit. I have always been welcomed by a member of staff who has directed me to the lift and either the resident's bedroom or lounge. The premises are well kept, staff, appear to be most attentive to residents needs. The atmosphere is always good. The resident I visit is happy, has never complained and it is apparent that he is popular with the staff.
The food they served on the Christmas Gala was wonderful. I had three courses and I loved the decorations, they looked so beautiful. I had a nice time. Well done to all the staff.
I visited with the daughter of a very new resident who had been accepted on two-week trial after a traumatic hospital experience. Everything about the home seems warm welcoming and vibrant. All the staff greeted my friend with smiling faces and positive attitude. Care and cleanliness and high standards taken for granted. I was particularly impressed by the way in which the needs of both residents and their families were understood. The elderly gentleman I visited seemed content and untroubled. Thank you.
The whole experience of moving our father from hospital to Kingfishers was made so much easier because of the warm and reassuring nature of the whole team there. It is a very difficult decision to place a parent in a care home having looked after them in their own home for such a long time, but the professional yet caring provision has made dad feel safe and contented. Everything about Kingfishers has exceeded our hopes.
I came here to live and be near my daughter. I was, at first, very homesick being a very long way away from my birthplace of Lancashire, Cheshire. But with a lot of help and very cheerful demeanour of the ladies here, I soon settled in and am now "at home" and very comfortable. I now (didn't know the area at all) have settled in my lovely room and am surrounded by friendship and help at all time! My room here has a door into the garden and am able to have a garden table (and 2 chairs) on which are all my various potted plants.
My mother was a resident at Kingfishers for three and a half years. She was very well cared for, in all respects, throughout this period. By October 2016, she had moved into the advanced stage of dementia and had suffered another stroke. From this time until her death in November, she was unable to do anything for herself and needed intensive nursing. The staff at Kingfishers were always friendly, kind and gentle with her and did not resent her constant demands. As relatives, we were welcome to visit her any time of the day or night and we were also treated with kindness and sensitivity.
I have been here for nearly two years and find it very comfortable. The staff are most helpful. All food is good and I would recommend it highly to any of my friends who need suitable accommodation.
Everything satisfactory, very happy here, no complaints.
Enjoyed the outing to see "Wicked". Thanks to carers and others who pushed us.
Today I have met the new manager and today who if friendly and understanding.
