During the pandemic, Mum has been cared for very well and still seems happy and well. The staff have made visiting possible when allowed and is always very well organised and very safe. Well done to everyone ensuring this is a Covid free home.

I'm devastated to have been informed that Tall Trees is reducing visiting to 3 a day on weekdays and no visits at weekends.

There must be at least 50 residents which means that I'll only get to see my 90 year old father once a month and I'll lose a day's pay when I do.

I don't really think that this is acceptable.
I can only imagine that it's a money-saving measure. Infection risk doesn't vary by day.

This is despite having had staff off on furlough and raising their prices by many times inflation.

When your father is diagnosed with Lewy body dementia your heart breaks into a thousand pieces. Knowing dad is respected, treated with dignity and kindness by such hard-working carers and all staff has replaced the heartache with peace at this prolonged chapter in our lives.

My husband came home with a happy expression, looking well cared for and slipped easily back into our home routine. I was so relieved to find Tall Trees, which is extremely well run, with lovely caring staff and I now look forward to my husbands next stay here, giving me carefree respite.

The care home feels like a family experience. Everyone is kind and considerate and extremely helpful. The care home is safe, clean and security is paramount. The activities are well organised and varied and outside the grounds are beautifully kept with attention to quiet places to sit and relax and enjoy the views. The atmosphere is cheery, relaxed and happy.

My Mum's right hand is 'clawed' and for some time we have been asking for something to be done to improve it as she could not use it and was in pain. A member of staff at Tall Trees, has, over the last couple of weeks, soaked and massaged the hand faithfully and Mum is now able to hold a fork and this makes feeding herself much easier. We are sad this wasn't done sooner, but grateful for the care now being shown.

The standard of care has been extremely high. My father's care has remained the main priority during his time at Tall Trees. The wonderful staff and management look after him as if he were their own family member, and the communication during his latest illness has been first class. A huge thank you to all at Tall Trees.

Mum is at present staying at Tall Trees after a recent hospital stay,
and what a beautiful place it is, such a welcoming feeling as soon as you walk through the door.
Mum is so well cared for and all her needs are being met fully.
Mum is in the willow unit, all the staff there that I have met have been so friendly and make us feel at home when there. Nothing is to much trouble and you can always find a member of staff, the staff ratio seems very good.
The food always smells appealing and looks very delicious.

Unable to really comment on the management as haven't met them, but I'm sure if I needed them it wouldn't be a problem.

My cousin was a temporary resident - aged 90. She had a broken wrist and could not manage on her own. She was well cared for with a comfortable room and settled far better than expected. The fact that a member of staff volunteered to board her dog for the duration of her stay made life easier for all concerned. She is, of course, gland to be home, but we feel that if it comes to the point when she needs full-time care then Tall Trees would be our choice for residential care.

My father was at Tall Trees for just over 4 years. He had dementia and the staff looked after him extremely well. He recently passed away and the staff were excellent in caring for him at the end of his life. I can't thank them enough and I will miss seeing them as they became part of my life.

Mum has been in Tall Trees for quite a few years now. The staff have always been helpful, caring, communicative and kind. When Mum was unwell recently the staff were excellent. Mum is in safe hands. I would highly recommend Tall Trees - particularly for dementia care.

Tall Trees seems in turmoil at the moment. Regular staff seem to be missing often and those on duty have lost their sparkle. Having said that, I have no real issues with the care given but I do speak quickly if I find something not right e.g. a lunch tray placed in front of mum with no offer of help! However, I have yet to see the manager, except through the office door. Cleanliness of the room has improved; it is also good to see some refurbishment around the corridors. Activities are very poor, usually one to one and nails being done! But I also accept that mum does not like mixing. I would say though that she was well cared for when dad passed away in Tall Trees some months ago.

I would like to acknowledge the wonderful care that my mother received during the 11 months she resided at Tall Trees. From the manager down all the staff were kind and supportive. They treated mum with dignity respect and understanding. Crucially they also helped our family come to terms with mum's rapid decline due to sudden dementia. The past year has been an emotional roller-coaster but made so much more bearable due to the staff at Tall Trees. Thank you so much.
