Our sister has been to Albany Lodge 3 times for respite, she looks forward to going to see the friends she has made there, the lifestyle lead, three other staff members in particular and all the rest of the staff. When your loved one is happy and contented it makes it a bit easier in leaving her, she enjoys the food and said it is very nice, she has her hair done as well while there and enjoys the activities. We as the family, find Albany Lodge very clean, the staff are all very welcoming and look after our sister well. We as the family, would not send her anywhere else a big thank you to the clinical lead, for overseeing her respite.
We appreciate your wonderful feedback about Albany Lodge. It's heartwarming to hear that your sister enjoys her time there and looks forward to reuniting with friends and the caring staff. Knowing that she is happy and contented during her visits provides great comfort. We're glad to hear she...
The carers are very kind and caring to mum and she always looks nice.
Overall my friend is cared for but I have to keep asking for certain things to be done, such as hand and feet nail cutting, hair cutting. Sadly some of his clothing has disappeared even though it was fully labelled! I do get things done/sorted but it tasks a lot of asking/nagging. He is treated with kindness but does need a lot of assistance.
I am very pleased with the improvements with my mother. She has been out of bed and has her catheter out. This home is wonderful, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I couldn't thank them enough.
Thank you for your review and positive comments, regarding our home and staff, who work hard to deliver high standards of quality care at all times. Your feedback will be passed on to the team.
A huge thank you to the entertainment/activities team for organising a room and supplying the food for a small family gathering which meant mum could celebrate with dad on his birthday, something we haven't been able to do for quite a number of years. You went above and beyond to make this happen for us, and we really do appreciate that so much, it was a perfect afternoon.
Thank you for your kind words. Our highly experienced team aim to always provide the best care for your loved ones. Our varied activity programme helps to create a happy and friendly environment for our residents and our staff alike, making each day more meaningful. We are pleased to hear that your Dad enjoyed his birthday celebrations with his loved ones. Your feedback will be shared with the team.
The bridge in the communication gap has been rectified. I'm more involved and carried along in the care of my uncle. Was pleased in the state I met my uncle when I visited unannounced. All my worries/concerns before this time were allayed in the family meeting I attended today. Is a very good forum to get detailed information on happenings/future plans. Staff are very friendly/accommodating. I will recommend Albany Lodge Nursing Home to anyone with confidence.
My husband went and requested for the sheets to be changed and a staff member changed the sheets which were very worn and yellow.
The staff in this home needs to be more attentive and the bedding for this home needs to be updated.
How long would it have taken to change the sheets if we hadn't visited today?
Very poor. A real shame for the residents.
We would like to apologize for your negative experience. We do our best to ensure that our residents and their families are happy with our service. The home has purchased brand new bedding a few months ago and the Home Manager has personally gone to supervise to ensure all the new sheets are being...
I came to Albany Lodge after a hospital stay prior to a return home and had no idea what to expect. From the outset, all the staff at Albany Lodge - management, nursing, care, reception, housekeeping, and maintenance - have been truly excellent. They have all taken the time to get to know me and to support me during a difficult period. They are keen to explore what I need and to provide it, whether that be croissants, emotional support, or a laugh and a joke. If you or a loved one needs residential care I can recommend Albany Lodge unreservedly. I will find it difficult to leave when the time comes.
Thank you for the care and support you've given our family. Albany is professional. The food that you catered for my dad's party was wonderful. In general, Albany's care service has been excellent.
Thank you for your feedback, our caring team will be very pleased to read your appreciation. It is a pleasure for us all to care for your dad.
Kind and friendly home. Care shown to my family is amazing. Meals are very good and all the staff are very caring.
Thank you for leaving us a wonderful review! Here, at Albany Lodge, we strive to be homely and welcoming to all of our extended family.
So big thanks to all concerned.
Many thanks for your review Lucy and we are so happy that the care we are showing to your grandmother is at a standard that makes your grandmother and your family happy. We aim to ensure all residents are cared for with love, compassion, dignity and professionalism. Many thanks again for such a lovely review.
I recently visited a friend of mine who I’ve known for many years and came to Albany Lodge last December. I was so happy to see the care that she has been receiving and the warmth and friendly nature of all the staff. It felt like a real home from home. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your views and feelings about the care your friend is recieving. It is always lovely to have positive feedback and makes our roles as carers that much more satisfying. We always love to hear how the care we provide has a positive impact on the residents we care for and when...
I am extremely happy with the service at Albany Lodge. The staff there are always so kind and helpful and take very good care of my grandmother by the looks of it. Her room is always kept quite tidy and you can see the staff work so hard in keeping their residents comfortable and safe.
Thank you for your positive feedback towards Albany Lodge Nursing Home. One of our top priorities is to provide comfort in the home so all residents feel welcomed. We are so pleased to hear how well your grandmother has settled in. If there is anything more we can do, please do not hesitate to reach out.
I am extremely pleased with my mother's care, the staff are warm and friendly, my mother's room is always very clean and tidy. I always have a pleasant experience when visiting my mother.
Thank you for your very positive feedback. We are delighted that you chose us as your preferred home for your mother. It is our pleasure to care for your Mum and to see her comfortable and happy. We shall pass on your compliments to our amazing team.
I'm so thankful to the manager and all the staff who have made my dad's life as full and happy as possible during the hardest bleakest days. The manner and care afforded families and friends during the covid Pandemic has been nothing short of heroic. So reassuring.
These are difficult times and the pandemic affected us all. The motivation for us all to continue was the dedication and care that every resident at Albany Lodge deserves. We are happy that we have come through, what appears to be the worst of it, and are still caring for our residents with the...
My grandmother has been at Albany Lodge since 2020. At the home, I have found all the staff from the manager to the nursing staff, friendly, professional, kind, and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They treat the residents and their families with respect. I often see the staff sitting with the residents having a laugh and joke. The facilities are clean and well kept. My grandmother always looks clean and well presented. There is a great choice of meals provided. They are well presented and nutritious. I am 100% satisfied with her care.
We are always pleased to receive such lovely reviews and it goes towards the strong sense of pride we all feel at Albany Lodge when a resident and their loved ones are clearly happy with the care we provide. We will continue to strive for excellence and continually look towards ways of improving our standards.
Mum became a resident at Albany Lodge in March 2021 after a stay in hospital. Since she has been in Albany Lodge she has regained her old self. She is happy and content and always has praise for the staff and the way they attend to her personal and emotional needs. I also have noticed how attentive they are to her needs. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
Your mum is a wonderful lady who we take great pride in supporting. We always try to ensure that all residents are treated with kindness and their independence is maintained. Thank you for such a lovely review and so happy to hear that she is also very happy.
Receptionist - English not first language - cannot understand me or them very, very very, frustrating. Messages not passed on. Callbacks not received cannot wait for him to be moved!
It always saddens us when a resident leaves us to live elsewhere, thinking we had built up a good relationship with relatives, only to find they were unhappy with the care provided. The issues outlined are not accurate but sadly this lady feels they are. We do our level best to ensure that all...
I found the staff and management of the home to be friendly, helpful, and flexible. Building and facilities are clean and well maintained.
Had an enjoyable meeting with the management staff. Had a lateral flow test on arrival and was met within a clean, secure and professional environment. I would definitely recommend this facility and their staff.
It is always a pleasure to welcome visitors to Albany Lodge and we strive to ensure that the visitors and those working and living in the home are kept safe at all times. We pride ourselves on our environment and are mindful that in these difficult times, we must keep the home as clean and infection-free as possible. It was a lovely visit and I thank you Paul for your very kind review.
