My husband has been here for almost a month. He said the other day "I am pleased you found this place. They are friendly and meet my needs." He likes the food too - he needs a special diet. I am pleased that he has a male carer.

Dependent on carers, I feel happier with care provided for my mother. The food choices need further options and variety. If certain members of staff are available I feel better care is provided. The place needs updating with some new equipment, beds, curtains, cupboards, would be beneficial.

First impressions count. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. The home was cosy and clean and bright. My sister's room is bright and clean. The home seemed very secure.

All the staff have been friendly and treat my mother well. The trips out for residents are very good and have been much appreciated.


The receptionists are extremely welcoming.


A matter of real concern still continues - our mother's underwear that keeps being damaged, seemingly in the washing machines?

As she is a private resident, the home does not provide replacement underwear. As this happens so often and not all her underwear can be accounted for, is this not time for the senior management of this company to get involved to remedy this bad practice?

Mow 94+ and having no previous direct experiences of care home living, I believe adjustments to the life can be more difficult for some than others.
I have enjoyed establishing a good rapport with staff and other residents in my two and two-thirds years to date.
In my experience, special mention is
worthy concerning care and support by senior registered nurses, particularly the lady usually based at the nurse's office on Windmill Suite, whose attention and expertise on behalf of residents (and families) is exemplary, including two colleagues.
Having been here during several changes of management, it is hoped that benefits will be understood and planning will ensue.

Mum has been at Albany Lodge since March this year and I have been very impressed with her care here. The staff are very professional and friendly and treat mum very well. I would have no hesitation in recommending Albany Lodge. Maybe a few more activities for the residents would be good but otherwise,

I was very ill last September and have been gradually nursed back to my previous good health.
There have been one or two hitches but the carers and manager have been so supportive. I have been a bit cantankerous in my old age and I have nothing but praise for the staff in dealing with me.
The food
is excellent and I hate to miss a meal!
All in all, I would come back if I had a relapse.

Today I was present for my grandad's ward run. The doctor was very pleasant, with a happy disposition. My grandad was very responsive to him and they both exchanged genuine smiles during the time.
The doctor was proactive in checking Grandad's chest, suggesting appropriate care and prescribing meds,
which was good, given I had noticed Grandad to be quite chesty during my visit.
