Every time I visit Carlton Carlton Court, I am never disappointed with the open and friendly team that is always there to greet me and welcome me, especially their Business Development Manager, who is a breath of fresh air. Her warmness and kindness are clear to see and set the tone and pace of the

We had a lovely family meal, mixed ages.
My mother's great-grandaughter was looked after and accommodated. Food adapted to fit, drinks etc. Relaxed meal, not rushed. A good chance to connect and celebrate Christmas with family members. Attentive staff.

My mother, who had been a resident at Carlton Court since 2017, passed away peacefully in the home recently. At all times she received a high standard of care in every respect. The staff at all levels have been excellent. In her final weeks her relatives have been given very valuable support, and she
was treated with great dignity. We are very pleased that we chose Carlton Court.
Reply from Pradeep Dcruz, Home Manager at Carlton Court Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your positive experience. It is both humbling and inspiring. My mum's 80th birthday and Carlton Court provided an amazing spread for her tea party. The room was set up with balloons and the table had everything we needed. Everyone was very hospitable and couldn't have helped us more! All the guests were delighted with the spread; sandwiches, scones (which were
amazing!), samosas and spring rolls. The birthday cake was very impressive. Thank you so much Carlton Court for such a beautiful and emotional tea party.

My mother celebrated her ninety-second birthday at Carlton Court last week. We planned a small party and asked for some glasses and plates. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to see the staff had decorated the room with balloons, flowers and a big banner. It was a lovely gesture and very typical
of how caring, hardworking and empathetic the staff are (and the birthday cake was an additional surprise!). As a family, we are very relaxed knowing how well my mum is being cared for.

Mum is currently staying at Carlton Court for respite care after a lengthy stay in the hospital. After the initial few days of settling in she is very relaxed and fully settled. The staff a second to none and have shown complete patience and kindness to Mum. For me, the whole process was managed super
efficiently by the business development manager who is reassuring and I have felt completely supported by her and other staff.

The last 11 days of my father's life here were hell for him and his family due to the lack of empathy from some of the staff, nurses in particular. We thought our stress and heartbreak of watching our father dying before your eyes couldn’t get anywhere worse, but we were wrong. We sincerely regret the
day we took him into this horrible “facility”. Raising complaints is a waste of time, they just believe everything the staff say, it’s completely biased in their favour. We can’t change the past but if by posting this review it helps stop one family bringing their loved one here then that’s a result in my eyes.

Our dear mum moved into Carlton Court Care Home a month ago and, so far, we have been very impressed with the level of care of all the staff, facilities, activities and catering. The introduction and moving-in process was also handled in a caring and professional manner at what was a very distressing
time for us. We saw an improvement in Mum almost immediately.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.963)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.963) out of 10 for Carlton Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 52 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 52 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.963 for Carlton Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (596 Excellents x 5) + (23 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 619 Ratings = 4.963
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Carlton Court Care Home is based on 52 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 85 registered maximum number of service users is 17, which has been reached with 52 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
