The staff at Carlton Court have been wonderful. I was very apprehensive about placing my mother into care but the experience has been excellent.
When my mother arrived in the home with dementia, she had difficulty walking and was very introverted. With the care and constant attention that she has received
she is now walking, albeit slowly and she is also feeding herself and her general outlook is very positive. I cannot praise the staff highly enough.

My mother, who suffered from severe vascular dementia, spent nearly a year at Carlton Court before she passed away in August. Throughout her time there she received excellent care from the wonderful staff and, despite her poor health and deteriorating mental state which made caring for her very difficult
at times, she always seemed to be very well looked after by the team of specialist carers and other staff who seemed to genuinely care about her and her well being. The home was always clean, warm and tidy and the food and drink was good, varied and plentiful. It was no surprise that the home managed the COVID crisis very well with very few cases to my knowledge. It was not easy to watch Mum deteriorate over the final year of her life but it was of great comfort to know that she was in such a good place and we would not hesitate to recommend Carlton Court to other families.
Reply from Julie Bignell, Home Manager at Carlton Court Care HomeThank you for the lovely feedback regarding the care of your mother. Our aim is to always provide our residents with person-centered care which shows kindness and compassion to not just them but also their loved ones.

My dad required nursing care as an emergency prevention from admission to hospital. Carlton Court have been wonderful and I cannot rate the care provided highly enough.
Dad has been treated with exceptionally high standards of care and support. He is without anything and nothing he asks for is too
much.
The food is outstanding, the facilities are wonderful and the cleanliness is fantastic.
Thank you all so much.

Mum just moved to Carlton Court from another care provider, and we're just amazed by how fabulous everyone at Carlton Court are - it truly is a shining example of what care should be - intelligent, professional and well-rounded. The team clearly communicate with each other, and have spent time working
out what makes Mum happy, spotting patterns in her behaviour within a few days that the staff at her previous home hadn't detected in over a year. They call me regularly with updates, Mum has two key workers, and the wider team are also clearly valued and very professional. Everything is well-thoughtout and handled sensitively so that we had a kind and careful conversation about end-of-life at our review, it left us reassured that Mum's and our views will respected. I am so impressed, and relieved that Mum is in such a great place, and can't express my appreciation enough. Thank you!

Extremely happy with our mother living at Carlton Court Care Home. She has been living here for almost four years now and has had excellent care and kindness throughout. Everyone takes the time to make sure she is well cared for from the carers to the kitchen staff to the laundry and cleaning staff.
My only concern is that on occasions, the staff are too busy to attend promptly and spend time. The turnaround of management is too regular. This one is excellent, so please keep her for as long as possible.

Our 93-year-old mother needed short term care. She was in a very poor state of health when she arrived at Carlton Court but with their support with her care, she left there after one month much better. We give full credit to the nursing staff and care workers at Carlton Court.

I got brought to Belfast for a trip to see my family and my mother's grave. Carlton Court went above and beyond to make sure this happened. They made sure I was happy and comfortable. 2 members of staff came with me and really helped me have a good day. The care home is so lovely and I love how they
care for me.

I am very grateful to nurses and carers for taking very good care of my terminally sick husband. They offered support and showed so much compassion to him and the family. place for my husband to spend the final weeks of his life.

Carlton Court cared for my mother for only a short time and it was a difficult time as she had dementia and didn't really understand what was going on. The staff were very patient with her and we as a family were able to leave her in the knowledge that she was being cared for and safe. Sadly she passed
away before she could really take advantage of the new dementia floor which I am sure she would have benefited from. The activities the staff arrange are marvellous and they try to include everyone.

Dad has such a wonderful time at Carlton Court. He raves about his big breakfast each day and all members of the family love to raid the cakes in the lobby.
His grandchildren come and eat cake and play at the hairdressers.
There is a great range of activities to take part in and they are great at
getting Dad to participate.
It is nice that all team members take the time to learn who all members of the family are.
The only thing to make it better is to get emails when Dad runs out of toiletries or to walk to the shop with him to buy personal care items.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.963)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.963) out of 10 for Carlton Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 52 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 52 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.963 for Carlton Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (596 Excellents x 5) + (23 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 619 Ratings = 4.963
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Carlton Court Care Home is based on 52 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 85 registered maximum number of service users is 17, which has been reached with 52 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I bring experience in problem-solving, leadership and teamwork, and I strongly trust in forming a positive and productive work environment where everyone feels valued and motivated. I have profound compassion and empathy as an advocate for residents to achieve positive outcomes in their lives with a commitment to lifelong learning.

Job Title: Hotel Services Manager Joined: 2026

I have over 15 years of experience in the hotel industry, having worked across five countries and gained a strong understanding of hospitality and guest experience.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a variety of hospitality settings, from pre-opening projects to different hospitality concepts, which has allowed me to adapt and grow within the industry.

I am service-focused and always look for ways to make a meaningful impact in everything I do and with everyone I meet.

In my free time, I enjoy travelling and exploring different cuisines and cultures. I also have a keen eye for art and create digital pieces inspired by “art with a message.”

As I begin my journey in the care and nursing sector for the first time, I’m excited for this new chapter and look forward to making a positive contribution.
