I was absolutely delighted when my dad was able to come into Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home for three reasons. One his safety, two his happiness and three the family environment it offers. I've found all staff amazingly helpful and nothing is too much trouble for anyone, no matter what position they hold. The care element within Maple Leaf is 24/7 without a doubt. Activities are offered to my dad, they even provided a table tennis set to benefit him as he used to play in the local park. Food and drink are always available around the clock, in case my dad has slept through mealtimes. I'm very pleased with how settled my dad is and how well he is being cared for. I would highly recommend this care home. 100/10.

Dad has lived at Maple Leaf for 6 months and is very happy. The care and attention given to him is excellent I can not fault it. I don’t live in Grantham so can’t visit as often I’d like but find the social media updates lovely. It’s so nice to see him out and about and enjoying life despite living with dementia. We are always made to feel so welcome when we visit and Dad is happy which is so reassuring. I love the fact he is still taken out on trips as keeps him feeling part of the community. Every member of staff seems to know his name even the maintenance team it does feel like he’s living in a family home. Thank you.

Happy and feel relieved with the care and attention my father receives at Maple Leaf Lodge. While his dementia means he's unable to communicate or remember what he's been doing, we are kept fully informed of any trips out. Their social media page also shows photos of all activities, which is wonderful.

All staff are friendly and caring, facilities and activities excellent. Great to know he's safe and lovingly cared for.

Having spent almost every day visiting my dad at Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home, I have seen firsthand how all the staff work. I cannot praise, the management and staff, enough, in all work areas. They seem very hard-working and they treat my dad with the utmost dignity and respect. It’s like having an extended family. Whilst the staff are very professional they are also extremely caring, friendly, polite and helpful. They help to make it a fantastic, homely environment with amazing decoration and furnishings (home from home). The meals are of an excellent standard. They always provide food for my dad if he has slept through mealtimes. They have a great activity team. Dad was recently taken out for coffee and cake. Also, the maintenance staff have dealt quickly and efficiently with any problems. Dad is being cared for impeccably. No complaints at all. Excellent care home would certainly recommend it. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

Very pleased with the care she received here. She is engaged in the activities, especially the dancing and is more active than when she went in.

I stayed at Maple Leaf Lodge for 2 weeks whilst my family were away. I found everything was well run, carers were very good, although I did not need help. Carers are very patient as some people were quite troublesome. Food was great, varied and always a choice.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Barchester Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home since 2019 and despite the challenges over the past two years, her care has not been compromised at all and the current team has and is doing an amazing job, thank you to each and every one of you. Life for our loved ones is gradually returning to normal but in a measured and safe way hopefully keeping them and just as importantly the dedicated team looking after them, safe and well. We are very much looking forward to all the events planned in the coming months and to all the exciting and positive things planned for the future. Thank you to you all.

You provided essential management e.g. food, dressing, washing but in my mind not care. My mother, 82, was left in her room during her full week of respite care, when asked if we could take her down the corridor in her wheelchair we were told no! She didn't eat barely the whole time with you, extremely confused, depressed and basically giving up, therefore took her home. The home appeared understaffed, difficult to speak to anyone. Extremely disappointed.

All the staff were friendly and helpful as always. There was a pleasant atmosphere and the residents were enjoying a visit from two musicians. The resident I was visiting was a little confessed and uncomfortable, the staff were lovely with her.

My Uncle has been at Maple Leaf for 3 years. The staff are all fantastic and assist my uncle with fantastic care, nothing is too much trouble. Throughout this awful pandemic, they have always had a smile on their face. I take my hat off to them all. The manager is very pleasant and always available to talk to if needed. Keep up the good work.

You can tell when you walk in that being here, as a resident or a visitor, it's going to be a great experience. You're welcomed with a smile; the place is airy and clean. As a visitor, you are included in everything that goes on. Your loved one is content; you know they are safe. Staff are giving and patient - this is everything a care home should be.

My husband has vascular dementia following a stroke and entered the nursing home last September. I have never been in his room due to covid so unable to mark rooms completed this form as best I can but difficult as I just visit in the pod. The new manager arrived last weeks so should improve. Staff always go out of their way to chat to me when I call in to see my mum and since lockdown, when I've visited Mum in the pod. When I visited Mum I used to clean and cut her fingernails and deal with facial hairs. I wish these were covered with the care provided. Mum always looks at the staff with genuine affection and them to her, which is lovely to see.

I am very happy with the care and consideration given to my daughter. Obviously, we miss physical contact as she does but understand the need for this. I would not wish anyone to risk visiting and take in Covid-19. The staff are very good with facetime and pod time and they are very much appreciated by this family.

Thank you for everything you have done for Mum to enable her to live life to the full and for all the fun and laughter.

From the very beginning, when Mum was adapting to being suddenly widowed in her late eighties, to a very short final illness, we have been enormously impressed and grateful to all the staff for their kindness, sensitivity, personal care, attention to detail, and wonderful attitude in helping Mum to make the very best of her time at Avery/Barchester Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home. Despite living with dementia, Mum has been able to continue to ‘be herself’ in the best way possible, with just the right amount of support needed for her to thrive.

And, in Mum’s last couple of weeks we were able to spend all the time we wanted together as a family with just the right level of support and help , and knowing that Mum could not have been in a better place either physically or mentally.
