My experience with Sutherland Court Care Home can only be described as excellent. The staff are all kind and welcoming to me on arrival, always willing to take time and to speak to me and tell me how my mother is and what she has been up to. Most of all, my mum is happy.

This review is in two parts. First, the staff - caring, friendly, working in very hard conditions, especially Covid. Very approachable. Resident's personal care is they are well looked after. Second - I have seen a deterioration in the cleanliness of room and a total lack of activities (one of the items
that attracted us to Sutherland Court). More staff are needed to deliver this.

My mum is a new resident and is still settling in. The staff have been very helpful and polite when dealing with Mum's requests and our questions. The environment is really warm, welcoming and very clean.

Mum's care here is wonderful. Physically, her condition has improved with staff seeing that her personal hygiene is carried out to a very high standard. The staff are really friendly, and the home provides lots of activities to keep the residents interested and occupied.
The garden is nice and provides lots of options for the gardening club.

I am really happy about the care that the home gives. My only issue is with night care, as this seems to be a problem occasionally. One carer, in particular, does not appear to have the same dedication as the rest of the staff. I appreciate that it is a difficult job, but I think that the care should
be the same day or night. Otherwise, I think that the care generally is excellent.

My brother has been a resident of Sutherland Court since December 2021. His previous care home was damned by CQC, resulting in a very emotionally difficult move for him. I can not praise Sutherland Court enough for helping him to settle and adjust to a completely new home. The staff have been very caring,
supportive and understanding during the early months of his adjustment. We are extremely grateful as a family that he has settled well and wish to thank all the staff for their kindness towards him. I can not praise Sutherland Court enough.

After a traumatic time finding the correct care home for my husband, I finally found Sutherland Court. I was very impressed with my first viewing of the home, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I have found every member of staff very helpful and willing. Nothing is a bother to them. They
kept me up to date throughout Covid with regular updates. I thoroughly recommend this care home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The staff are very hard working, efficient, caring, respectful, and most of all, very friendly. They treat each resident as if they were a family member. It is a very pleasant home with lots going on for the residents. The gardens are also kept beautiful; they even have a minibus for day trips for the residents. It's good to find a home where you know your loved one is going to be well looked after. Can't recommend this home enough. A big shout out to every single member of staff. "Thank you so much for all your hard work; you all deserve a medal".

My dad had a bad fall, and all people involved were excellent. They looked after and kept a close eye on him during his recovery. All staff are very friendly and do a fantastic job under enormous pressure due to the nature of patients.

The only fault I could mention would be that when one lady is not available, then no Zoom calls. Everything else seems fine. No complaints - my mother speaks volumes. The staff are always polite and friendly. Plenty of activities for the residents.

It is very difficult living so far away from him. We are so very assured that he is in a clean, safe and caring homely environment. We are always called for any consent, progress or incident issue relating to him and feel involved in his well-being care, even though we are so far away. The staff that
we talk with are always so helpful and professional, and we know they care dearly for him.
The communication letters etc, are helpful and appreciated.
I have worked in healthcare all of my working life and recognise a care home of high standards, which you are. So glad he is with you.

Sutherland Court is an amazing care home. All the staff and management are wonderful.
We are so grateful for the care and attention they have given my dad. My dad has been in a few care homes and has finally settled at Sutherland Court. We cannot praise the home enough. It has been such a relief to

If you are looking for a care home, this is it. I have been in several care homes in the area visiting clients of mine that have had to go into care, and Sutherland Court is the best I've seen. It has a nice atmosphere, the staff are all happy, friendly and go out of their way to help you. I have worked
in Fenham for years, and have only heard people say good things about this home; this helped when my mam needed care, and we choose this home. It's as near to home as you'll get thanks to the staff that work there.
